I am 100% in favour of R-Truth becoming King. I've got a vision of him strutting down the aisle, kind of like the Jack Nicholson Joker in the Batman movie, with a scepter, crown and robe calling himself 'The King of Truth' and interrupting matches with royal decrees about spiders and the like, and trying to overrule Kane's decisions because as King he outranks Director of Operations. Eventually, because he thinks it's funny and he's tired of his whining, Triple H recognizes Truth's title of 'King' as being slightly above Kane on the flowchart, so we get Kane having to do Truth's bidding and becoming increasingly frustrated (Backstage vignettes of Kane with one of his loafers off trying to kill spiders backstage) and eventually they team up as a tag team when one stands up to Triple H on the other's behalf, or feud in some of the worst TV matches we'll get in ages.

I've been arguing for over a year that they should do KOTR on the network as an exclusive to help give the sense that there is content that you will only get on the Network. Which actually brings me to an annoyance: Execution matters. It bugs me when people will take something WWE does and showcase it with an argument along the lines of "Well, you guys said they needed new blood! And now they're giving it to you and you're complaining!" Like, for instance, in this case: "They're doing KOTR on the network as an exclusive like you wanted! Why are you complaining?" I'm complaining because the execution really defeats the purpose. It's not about doing something for the sake of doing it. It's about the result that they were supposed to get from doing it in the first place and I don't think the way they're executing it will give them that result. I'm not sure that's the single most annoying argument we get around here sometimes, but it's up there.

They are fighting for a crown dude. And probably a robe. Maybe even a scepter. Come on, who doesn't want to be The King?

Haha that paid mods thing sure didn't last long. The defenses of even attempting it were so great. "I deserve to be compensated", says one guy in PC gamer I've never heard of in the mod community. If you actually believed that you'd have done a lot more research into the laws and regulations of pro bono employment before modding for a decade. I say that as someone that wrote a few of my own mods over the last decade. I honestly wasn't even bothered by it because it seemed so obvious it was going to crash and burn from the moment it was announced. Valve has done some really weird things the last couple years. The BURNING INDIGNATION over it was a bit silly, but really no sillier than attempting to do it in the first place.

I really do hate this time of the year and it's only going to get more and more predictably dull until early/late July. Randy Orton in the main events, Kane and Big Show being the major players, the never ending authority bullshit that's knocking on the Ace's and Eight's door for tediousness. That being said I really enjoyed the tag team match, nice to see the New Day get some shine after everything they've endured with terrible booking and I know people bang on about Cesaro's strength but his knees didn't even tweak when he caught Big E, just an unusual freak of a man. Didn't have a problem with Rusev/Cena, the crowd popped huge for the finish and seemed to be into the match, I know the USA vs. Russia dynamic and Cena being apart of the match always enhances how the crowd reacts but it served it's purpose regardless of the origins of whatever the chain match is, could have done with some color though. I would have had Rusev win and then lose the blow off match next month, y'know, but that's Cena booking, don't care anymore.. NXT special in 3 weeks, though. So not all is bad.
