Overly Critical Man

I’m gonna blame it on Moxley fatigue. People just aren’t that interested in The Death Riders and their doom and gloom “AEW sucks!” storyline.

I hate it whenever ANYONE goes over Willow, because Willow is the most wonderful thing to exist in this crapsack that we call Earth.

Marina Shafir beating up both Hangman and Jay White in the same segment stretches the limits of my disbelief to their breaking point. Especially when they’re allegedly facing Mox at the next PPV or at least being set up as The Death Riders’ next opponents. Then you got Moxley saving Shafir like she's the champion to be protected. Where did Willow go? Anyway, glad they got Kamille away from the bodyguard role although the breakup seemed really quick and sudden. Looking forward to seeing her toss Mercedes around, if that match even happens… but you never know with AEW’s wacky continuity. And god forbid a babyface stay looking strong. Nope, Mariah May needs to get her heat back IMMEDIATELY. Poor Mina.

Last month, I said the Costco Guys should be the ones to dethrone Moxley and I still don’t see anything to suggest I’m wrong about that.

Honestly, the only way I see this stupid BCC storyline working out is if The Costco Guys beat the shit out of Moxley.

Not pulling the trigger on Jaime Hayter vs Britt Baker after teasing it for months. What the hell was up with that? Hayter’s entire title reign was instead wasted on a putrid feud with The Outcasts.

If that really was the plan… Bryan Danielson and Tony Khan both have brain worms.

Sure, there’s things I enjoy. Willow Nightingale is a pure ray of sunshine. Kris Statlander, even if they just gave her the lamest face turn ever. Hikaru Shida, as rare as her appearances are these days. Powerhouse Hobbs. Jeff Jarrett. Samoa Joe. Even Bryan Danielson, up until he showed he has brain worms for the business. But it all just seems so… pointless. AEW always has these moments where you think they’re about to pull off something special and then they go and do something LOLTNA worthy that just erodes whatever good will was built up. Why cut Swerve’s title reign off at the knees to give us an underwhelming 46 day title reign? Why tease Darby vs Bryan and then not deliver? Why put the title on Moxley YET AGAIN to show us what a cool rebel unbeatable badass he is? A million possibilities and we always end up back at Moxley. Always freakin’ Moxley. I thought Jeff Jarrett in TNA was ridiculous, but with a roster this loaded, they always go back to this deathmatch dork. Ugh. Ugh! UGH!!!! Anyway… Takeshita is pretty cool too.

And if he turns yet again, what’s the point? Turning him into The Big Show isn’t good. edit: I guess you mean he might be in for a bigger role… but yeah.

Also, not that I think he’s good or anything, but what a stupid character arc for Yuta. He could’ve been in the front lines as the guy avenging Bryan, but now he’s back to being the fifth most important person in the BCC. Back to being the job guy in the Neo Nazi stable for you, dork.

And just so I don’t sound like someone who doesn’t like anything… Willow vs Mariah May was excellent and Willow deserves the entire universe. Hell, have her take down Moxley(who fucking sucks).

Jon Moxley sucks so fucking much. That is all.

No one wants them over there either. They are AEW’s burdens to bear.

The buzz on Twitter is Mercedes’ wig was falling off, which totally justifies her killing Shida’s finish and giving us that shitty ending. But whatever.

As someone who is usually... overly critical about AEW's product, that was a very enjoyable show and the happy ending we all wanted to see. Bravo to Bryan for finally winning the big one.

This show was great. Awesome work all around. Loved how the simple symbolism in the bracelet led to CM Punk’s downfall. HUBRIS~!

Roman finished the story with The Shield betrayal by finally getting his revenge on Seth and his obsession ultimately cost him the title against Cody. That is some high quality cinema. *chef's kiss*

That’s awful. She should’ve been receiving medical attention, not bleeding out with half her teeth missing, while struggling through a promo.

Big deal. I will sacrifice Punk, Omega, the Bucks, Hangman, Britt Baker, Adam Cole, Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley, The Ass Boys, Miro, Kip Sabian, Jungle Jack Perry, Eddie Kingston, Swerve in our Glory and Chris Jericho if it means we get to keep Anna Jay in wrestling.

What an awful show. The wrestling was good and competent on the whole, but some of these booking decisions… yeesh.
