Curt McGirt
So who were the best, constant or random?
The Green Meanie
Monsoon/Heenan, Monsoon/Ventura, Mooney/Hayes.
The Natural
Best commentary of all time, Booby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon in the 1992 Royal Rumble match. Perfect. Just thinking about it is making me want to watch the match tonight.
RandomAct
Somebody better fucking say me and Stuttsy. Since I can't vote for myself, I'll point out that I LOVE the Graves/Phillips team. Good chemistry.
J.H.
Monsoon and Ventura played off each other perfectly, especially Monsoon calling Monsoon out for condoning babyface cheating. It was pretty much theclosestthing you'll get ot an anti-hero on commentary. Monsoon and Heenan... God I never get enough of their comedy Jim Ross and and Bob Caudle are a very underrated tandem, same for Tony Schiavone and Caudle. I don't care who ou are though, Rod Trongard and Lord James Blears are my fave! LJB being an horny old man for any women's match, Trongard always just calling the match. I lovd those 2 together! Actually Caudle with Lance Russell on the random WCW syndie shows is by far the best WCW duo
Thomas Bugg
Ross/Caudle and Ross/Schiavone are two of my favorite commentary teams
Kuetsar
Ventura in WCW( for the short time he was there was gold too, can't remember who he was paired with most of the time though. . .
AxB
Gordon Solie and Lord Steven Regal on WCW Worldwide (International edition only). Never been bettered: "Honestly Lord Regal, I'm surprised your opponent was able to get that reversal on you. With your technical ability, he shouldn't be able to hold you down like that." "No no no, Mr Solie, I'm just inspecting the canvas for an small tears or rips. Go to save the company money, haven't we?" 7
twiztor
i really loved when Paul Heyman replaced Lawler during the Invasion. Ross/Heyman was an excellent change of pace and never failed to entertain. Monsoon/Heenan and Monsoon/Ventura are the greatest ever, of course

Curt McGirt
Who was the best partner Solie ever had? Like Lance, I always think of him as a solo performer exclusively.
GodzillaPerez
Chris Cruise and Terry Funk just for Funk calling Cruise "Crispy" about 30 times per match.
Matt788
JBL is not the best or anything but in the absence of Jerry Lawler these days I really like him. Monsoon and JR were both amazing, Lawler and Heenan as well as color commentators. Ultra Mantis Black is the best kept secret. Booker T and Dusty are pure fun. Scott Stanford is another secret gem. And Coachman sucked and Tazz was a caricature on color commentary . Heenan/Sciovane/Tenay was a drunk genius, a self loathing sociopath, and an earnest careful smark. Somehow their cobination woroed.
MADCAP
I was always a fan of Schiavone/Crockett. Say what you want about them, but they always made Saturday afternoons of watching World Wide Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic more exciting with their enthusiasm.
Raziel
Schiavone, Heenan, and Dusty were really good together. Ross was at his most tolerable with Heyman. Monsoon and Ventura, Monsoon and Heenan, and Schiavone and Ventura were the beat all around. Schiavone is seriously underrated all time. He was fine until the nWo stuff devoured his soul and he stopped caring.
Tim Evans
Lance Russell and Dave brown are the best. My favorite random commentary team is probably Cole and Taz. I thought they worked well with each other. Especially during the early days of smackdown.

Matt D
It's funny how reviled Monsoon is and has been in certain circles.
J.H.
Monsson is only as good as who he is paired with. I never want ot hear a Monsoon/Ernie Ladd tandem ever again! Am I crazy or did Monsoon also work with Bock during his brief WWF stint? James
RandomAct
Monsoon def had to have someone who could banter with him.
Thunderlips
Gorilla/Heenan is at the top of the list Vince/Ventura really good Tony/Crockett wasn't bad. Wasn't that good either Solie/Piper were awesome JR/Hayes in UWF underrated Mauro/Josh Barnett underrated also
paintedbynumbers
I loved Ross and Heyman in 1990-1991 WCW Also Noah and JR in 1991 WCW.
clintthecrippler
I would argue that Gorilla/Ventura together was an underrated tandem. Ventura went at Gorilla with some of the same heel advocate vigor that he did when he was paired with Vince, but you could tell that there was underlying respect for Gorilla since he had spent so many years inside the ring.
EricR
Speaking of Gorilla pairing well with people, I remember really liking him and Johnny Polo. Also liked Quackenbush on commentary. Dry, but insightful.
