  10. And for all that, thankfully Hogan didn't up being the bass player for Metallica, I mean who knows how much that would have changed things?

  11. Really? Dax cuts a heart-felt promo about his daughter surviving a life-threatening heart condition, and they release a t-shirt with 100 % of royalties going to the American Heart Association, and that's "corny" and "cringe"? Fucks sake. Think it's time for me to take a short break before I start saying stuff I regret.. I'll be back on the 31st for the start of Secret Santo ?

  13. Not really sure if Vince Sr. firing Hogan is bs or not, but Hogan was winding down his run in the WWF when he went off to film Rocky III and would have been gone sometime in the summer of 1981. Hogan's feud with Andre had wrapped up and he was putting over Tony Atlas, back then once a heel was done with their run against Backlund or in Hogan's case Andre they'd put over a babyface the next level down on the way out. The take that Vern "refused" to put the AWA title on Hogan is a huge over simplification of what went down. Sure Verne was old school and initially did want the belt on a "non-wrestler" like Hogan, but the dude was mega over so Verne tried to milk the chase as long as possible. Next there was the issue with Hogan working New Japan and Verne being tied in with All-Japan, if Hogan was AWA Champ Verne would have wanted a cut of Hogan's Japan money which is why at times Hogan has claimed he didn't even want the AWA belt. There's also the whole Verne screwing over Hogan on t-shirt money. If Vince Jr. never came calling Hogan would have been a Japan first guy like Brody, the money over there was great and he would have gotten nice payday's in the US as a special attraction.

  14. HE CAN NO LONGER PLAY VINCE AGAINST DANA AND I DON'T HAVE TO READ "IS BROCK RETURNING TO THE UFC AND LEAVING WWE" STORIES EVERY 3 YEARS! Oh happy day.

  15. I'll be the first to say I was wrong. I did not believe it could happen. And there's still a part of me that is skeptical. Not that there's some conspiracy theory where he is running things in secret. But that this will be the way they handled Hogan. He went away until the temperature went down, then boom he was back around in a pirate hat. Could Vince's vision be to retire for a year or two, and come back down the line again? I hope not. I am legitimately fearful for what's about to come out. You know it's going to be unforgivable. If even half of what's been rumored to have happened to Ashley Massaro is true, that piece of shit Vince can rot in hell for all I care. That is some heinous shit. I so so so hope Dunn & Prichard are gone soon. WWE needs a creative reset. When Vince Jr took over for Vince Sr shit changed soooo muchhh. We need that much of a revolution to the way WWE is presented again. Fresh. New. Exciting. Different. That's what I'm hopeful for. Only time will tell I guess.

  22. Banner year for pro wrestling. So many good matches, so much young talent, so much possibility looking towards the future, and this is only the cherry on top. If Vince is really done done (which it seems like it!), and it sends Dunn, Pritchard and Brock all packing, that's only good news. I agree that the whole operation is basically an algorithm at this point, so I'm not trying to get my hopes up too high, but man, if ever there has been a chance that WWE could actually evolve into something beyond what it's been for the past, uhhhh, twenty years, this is it.

  24. Whether or not Vince is still secretly in charge will be based entirely on how much people like or dislike the show at any give time. We're going on vibes alone!

  25. This is really hammering home for me just how little I watch WWE anymore. Oh, Brock walked out? Well, alright, he's a top guy. What show was he on? What was he doing? Would he have been doing something tonight? Beats me. Summerslam is next weekend? Hmm, that's news to me. Who'll replace Brock? Wow, um, sorry, remind me who's even on the roster?

  26. I eagerly await TK signing Brock since that is like the one thing that would infuriate everyone

  28. I don't watch WWE, mainly because I don't feel like I need to. Stories don't really go anywhere, so why bother watching week to week. For a while, I would at least check out the pimped matches after the fact, but Dunn's production ruined even that for me. I might go back to watching the best stuff if they get rid of Dunn and actually make a change to their production style.

  35. So... does this mean that at the end of the day... Jeff Jarrett could be the one in control of creative for WWE? Jeff fucking Jarrett?! The most interesting man in pro wrestling. Tell someone 20 years ago that Jarrett would potentially be in one of the drivers seats of the WWE in 2022 and they'd call you crazy.
