  1. Here's hoping all of the sons of bitches/NFL players unite tomorrow and show up the Orange Goblin.

  2. I'm not going to get into the politics of what was said last night at the President's rally. But I'm fully expecting the number of players who will be kneeling/protesting the national anthem at football games tomorrow to increase.... dramatically.

  3. DiBiase got hosed when Bischoff wanted the glory. Heenan wouldn't have quite fit with that crowd. Realistically, the nWo should have been the New Generation stars that McMahon sent down to destroy the guys that went Benedict Arnold on him.

  4. Eh, since we're fantasy booking Enzo, here's how I'd do it;

  5. Jesus H. Christ. Fuck the Knicks. Fuck the Thunder. It'll be hilarious when all three leave OKC next year. And I don't know how good this superteam will be if Westbrook never passes to George or Melo.

  8. I don't think it's just nostalgia age recent events talking, but Gorilla and Bobby are my favorite. A perfect comedy duo who also always got the matches over. Gorilla and Jesse might be second.

  11. I wouldn't be so quick to make the case that Charlotte benefited from better booking. Yeah she got to have the belt, but she also got saddled with the Seth Rollins style endless heel title run where she is working the same opponents to death month after month and somehow I'm not sick to death of her like I am Rollins. A lot of that has to do with the simple thing that her matches are better than his psychologically and is a way better/subtler heel during matches. She deserves a lot of credit for surviving that. Meanwhile I will probably never get over my disdain of Rollins from his heel title run. And I have no particular reason to think that Sasha would have survived a similar endless repeated feud run better than Charlotte did.

  12. Anyone else see the Rams unis and start looking for Norn Van Brocklin or Crazylegs Hirsch out there? Related question: anyone read "Crazylegs Hirsch" and flash back to @DEAN's "Crazyballs Hirsch" joke?

  16. I find it rather funny (and extremely ironic) that one of the people voicing their displeasure with Trump is the CEO of the Niners. Yes the same Niners that cut Kaepernick in the beginning of the season. When you hear people in the NFL come out against what Trump, it has nothing to do with their opinions on Kaep or Michael Bennett or even the right to have those opinions. It is trying to halt this image that the NFL is filled with nothing but a bunch of rich, spoiled unruly liberals who hates cops and our country. That is the important message.

  18. So... this has turned out to be true. The Warriors have now officially declined the invitation to visit the White House after this morning's Steph Curry tweet by... sigh... the President of the United States.

  20. ROFLZ @ OKC trading Kanter within days of his "Thunder are a FAMILY" KD rebuttal... No lie, I think the last pair of basketball sneakers i had were the Converse Grammamas...after that I did strictly shelltoes for years until I became middle-aged and fell into "whatever the cheapest shit is at DSW that's not made of that stupid runner's mesh"... Also if you rocked thee with some Karl Kanis and a sock hat at any point in like 1992 or so your Hip-Hop culture credentials are impeccable...

  21. Cody was Cody here, but I feel like he was far from the biggest problem with that match. Casting Suzuki as a face against him was a strange proposition to begin with, that played against what people like to see from him and what Suzuki himself actually does well at this late point in his career. You also have to allow for the fact that Suzuki can coast through a match with ZFG with the best of them, and he clearly looked not all that interested in the goings-on here.

  22. Seriously, I flew out to Vegas for THAT? Fuck this promotion and fuck everyone that can't figure out how to properly time a goddamn show. If you're running long, CUT SOMETHING DOWN. !@^%!@^%!@^% And barely a quarter of that crowd hit Kaze Ni Nare. Y'all motherfuckers need tapes. On the bright side, the crowd wasn't NEARLY as annoying with the chants and Bullet Club baloney as I thought, even though the face/heel dynamic was completely fucked in any BC-involved match. The nWo at their height never got this bad, and I think it's going to be years before we see how much damage has truly been done by it. Cody is the Jinder Mahal of ROH. I'm sorry, but the dude is not top-champion material, and barring a major mindset or look change, won't be. All he's shown to me on the indies is why WWE never pushed him past the Intercontinental title. He's STILL not a smooth worker after all this time, and still can't cut a money promo. He needs to figure out if he's going to be a serious heel or a goofy heel, and stop bouncing between the two. How long do the TV tapings usually go?

  25. I'm going to the Mets game tonight mainly to see the postgame fireworks. It's gotten that bad. Also not renewing my 20 game plan because why pay $400 when I can get 20 games on SeatGeek for 1/4 of that amount. I'll spend my money on Staten Island or Somerset because their payrolls are probably higher. I wish the Wilponzis would just go away.

  34. The fantasy booking of Bobby Heenan in the attitude era makes me sad because he would have been gold in whatever role he was in. He would have easily been better than Lawler at being the heel color man. It would have been cool to have Bret and Heenan make amends during the '97 Hart Foundation run. Bret could have admitted that Bobby was right all along about the humanoids. He would have fit as one of Vince's stooges in the corporation. I'm sure Bobby got paid an obscene amount of money from WCW, and I'm glad he got health insurance from them, and was able to be close to his daughter at college, but WCW wasted his talent, but that was par for the course for WCW. It was a no brainer that he should have been in the nWo. He certainly could have filled Bischoff's spot better than Bischoff did.

  35. I'm not sure where it was from, but someone was talking about how they wanted to see the Mets go after someone from the new school of baseball who focuses on analytics and stuff like that, "someone like Mike Matheny." And then I laughed my ass off. Hey, maybe the Mets will actually get their chance with Mike Matheny if the Cards get fed up with him.

  36. I just read tat America's Got Talent was renewed for a 13th season. Jesus Christ. I mean, it's not surprising, but still. I watched a season or two when Stern was hired to be a judge because I like his radio program, but, seeing buts and pieces of AGT now, I feel like a moron for ever getting fleeced by this dumb show. It's absolutely a work, start to finish. It hit me when I saw the judges freaking out over a mentalist act, and I said, "why are they surprised by this guy? It's the same act from back when I used to watch." The it hit me, it's the same acts every damn year and every year they act just so amazed and blown away. And it's a fucking sob story vignette before every act. God damn I hate TV. Burn it all down.

  38. Randomly watching No Mercy 1999. Jeff Jarrett hits Chyna with the belt to win the Good Housekeeping IC title match but the decision doesn't stand b/c he didn't use a household item. Chyna then wins the match by hitting him with that very common household appliance, a balsa wood guitar.

  44. Finally got power back this afternoon after losing it Sunday night. Luckily my place didn't get hit as bad as a couple miles down the road where it's flooded. it was hot as hell in the 90's all week which sucked. Lots of debris and trees down. Also a big gas and water/ice shortage here in Central Florida. I feel bad for people further down south that will take months to get back home.
