Please tell me why WWE only suspends a wrestler for 2 or 3 weeks when they engage in a dangerous behavior like drinking and driving, but grabbing your boss infront of the entire roster, an arena full of people and millions around the world warrants a firing (or a suspension that lasts longer than deadly behavior like a DUI). Please, tell me. If you honestly think Titus was about to deck Vince McMahon infront of everyone, you've officially lost it. You can clearly see Vince laughing and smiling, especially the close-up fancam version that's been on the internet for a few days now. This subject has been beaten to death already, but to justify Vince's irrational behavior after the fact because it's "unprofessional" is crazy. Keep him off TV for a week or two, don't let him work house shows. Dock the man's pay. But the punishment he got didn't fit the crime, especially when people like Jack Swagger get off with a few weeks suspension for an action that could have killed someone.5 points

Comparing the pro wrestling business to any other business is always silly and comparing Vince McMahon to your boss is always silly.5 points

What I have gathered from this nominations thread is the majority of folks just want me to put Rollins vs. Baron Corbin in the first round and then use the other 62 slots on all Lucha DREAM BRACKET BABY!!!!4 points

Aljamain Sterling has announced he is also staying with the UFC. The UFC was his only real suitor with WSOF trying to make a bid for him as well. MMA free agency will only get interesting once companies become interested in the same guy. Bellator only wants to names so they're not really going after fighters who have bright futures (meaning they could be arguably top 15-25 in their division already) who aren't complete mysteries with a ton of potential upside like an Aaron Pico and Ed Ruth. I believe FrontRowBrian made this point a couple days ago in reference to Will Brooks. The UFC isn't signing people who Bellator isn't even interested signing. Even though the people who already wanted to leave UFC have more impetus to leave to get more sponsorship bucks (and/or avoid stringent drug testing), we're still pretty much in the same place we were two or three years ago with free agency. Promotions are only still interested in who they are interested in. Unless you have like some package deal or a boatload of people becoming stars out of nowhere, there are going to be very few blockbuster deals in MMA. So it's going to also take people changing to their business models and philosophies as well.2 points

Arguably, dont you want a guy with a nice guy persona, since that what OJ was for decades before the murders: hertz pitchman, naked gun movies, mnf analyst. Yeah, the crazy thing about OJ is that he was friends with everyone (Well, almost everyone. Jim Brown essentially told everyone he could that OJ was a person who couldn't be trusted.). I don't think Cuba Gooding Jr. is doing good with that part either. That first episode when he's trying to convince everyone he's innocent came off as a crazy person ranting in raving in a way that no one would ever believe. In that Al Michaels interview on Simmons' podcast, Simmons asked him when did he know he did it. Michaels, who was a close friend with OJ, essentially said that he made his decision based on the evidence. He even told a story about how another friend was on the flight OJ took directly after the murders and that guy thought OJ was innocent based on how charming and engaging he was on that flight. OJ never gave any of the people around him any reason to believe he did it. Cuba Gooding Jr. isn't charming anyone into believing he is innocent on this show.2 points

As was the Lio Rush/Jason Kincaid top prospect tourney match. It was the best match in the first round by far. Although Rush won, the match was a showcase for Kincaid. Everything about the guy is unique: From the way he looks, the way he moves in the ring, and his move set.2 points

The only worry I have with a sequel is that it will have a substantially bigger budget since this one was so popular, which will lead to a lot of studio execs wanting to offer their input.2 points

Deadpool barely resembles what Liefeld created. Better to lament the nihilism and how it's easier to tear things down than to build them up, etc, etc. Something like that.1 point

WWE style is my preferred style and even I don't think that is accurrate. ANYWAY, this isn't a battle of who is the most talented but who had the best 12 month period and, as pointed out, the booking of the main roster was so terrible and the injuries so plentiful this past year that even great talents like Luke Harper and Rusev didn't come off as well they could have.1 point

*ahem* , Zack Sabre Jr., Mike Bailey, Timothy Thatcher, Chris Hero, Biff Busick, Will Ospreay, Roderick Strong, Drew Gulak, Drew Galloway, Kyle O'Reilly, Ricochet/Prince Puma, Dalton Castle, Low-Ki, Mark Andrews, Will Ospreay, Matt Sydal, Tommy End, Andrew Everett, Jay Briscoe, Rich Swann, Sami Callihan, Kimber Lee I just came up with 22 Indy guys who had very good years. We are arguing for guys who had like 3 matches people liked in the WWE as being in there top 16.1 point

I don't *need* to watch every fucking independent promotion to know that there are better wrestlers in WWE than there are on the independent circuit - I don't know if you guys have been paying attention to what has been happening for the past several years now, but do you know what happens to the best wrestlers on the independent circuit? *They get signed to WWE*. The result of that is WWE having an enormous amount of great workers from all over the world, and all of the independent promotions in the country combined can fuck right off with the notion that they can hang.1 point

Someone argued Swagger as a guy to place in the field and his PPV output was solid. What are his ME/Superstars matches that one should watch? EDIT: I knew that I saw someone do a good post on this. Charlie M wrote this in the Best WWE Matches 2015 thread:1 point

The thing about LA Noire is, the story kind of goes backwards in terms of your career progression. You should climax by working murders, not go straight into them from being a beat cop. Also, part of me wishes it had been LS Noire and happened in the GTA/ Red Dead Universe. I really wanted to be into that game but I figured out the central conceit really quickly1 point

Cesaro oveer Bryan was finally the year that Bryan actually was the guy deserving to win March Madess. People claiming that Cesaro was better than him still boggles the mind. Seth should be in the final 64. Not sure if I pick him to win a bunch of matches, but a guy who holds the top title in the world for more than half the year should be in the big dance, no doubt.1 point

Eh, Haing S Ngor might have had worse. I mean, the man survived a genocide, won his Oscar, did a few forgettable TV movies and got murdered, for crying out loud. Being horrifically murdered is worse than starring in Daddy Day Camp. Marginally, anyway.1 point

Rollins should be in this. He should just lose to the Miz in the first round. it's also downright adorable that, in 2016, someone think that "Workrate" is the predominant metric for someone being a good in-ring wrestler.1 point
