NikoBaltimore Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 They do, but it doesn't stop people from posting tons of spoilers anyway. Wikipedia is a full of them if you search anybody even remotely involved with the show. That, and Meltzer still asks for reports, NDA be damned.
nofuture Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 WWE don't seem to care too much about NXT tapings getting spoiled so I doubt they'll care about this getting spoiled.
RIPPA Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Quote March 30th: When we say we are in uncharted waters with the WWE relationship, we mean it. WWN Officials were surprised to see this article on WWE.com about EVOLVE and other promotions hosting qualifying matches for the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series. We are all walking this new ground together so there is no telling what will happen next. There will be WWE/NXT officials at theWWN Seminar/Tryout this Thursday so we expect more talks to happen at that time. This could possibly lead to things happening as soon as the EVOLVE events this weekend in Dallas. At the very least, the competitiveness in the EVOLVE locker room has reached an unprecedented intensity. Everyone wants to be in this tournament, which will give new levels of exposure and prestige to the participants. You can expect a residual effect of the article at the EVOLVE and WWN Supershow cards this weekend as the talent roster tries to position themselves to be in the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series. That was from one of Gabe's recent updates
Matt D Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 So does this mean that they're sending Brakkus to Evolve? 3

JonnyLaw Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Brutus Shortcake v Matt Riddle would be amazing.

Linus Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Rich Swann, Tomasso Ciampa, Akira Tozawa, Zack Sabre Jr, Hong Kong's Ho Ho Lun, and NOAM f'ing DAR seeded into the tournament. 2

The Z Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Triple H announced it during a media conference call.
Lazlo Woodbine Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Who would have guessed Ho Ho Lun? This is bizarre.
The Man Known as Dan Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 That's a really good start to the field. Like, alarmingly good start.

Quite a lot of potential matchups there that need to see the light of day. Is this round robin or single elimination?

The Z Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 If you can trust his wrestlingdata.com profile, he's not even really from China. He's just a Brit with a Chinese immigration background. EDIT: After googling around a bit, he seems to be from Hong Kong. There's very little information about this guy on the net.
NikoBaltimore Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I can't say enough how hard it was to not freak the fuck out at work reading the names. I'm just floored at the idea that these guys will be on WWE-produced TV. If this is the start I can only imagine who else they bring in. But I'm very certain Sabre will be signed at the end of all this.
rzombie1988 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Tozawa will be gone if they are interested. DG never seemed to value him and too many people there don't like him.
Technico Support Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 With the weird mix of WWE, NXT and indies going on here, I'd LOL and LOL hard if somehow Sami Callihan ended up booked on this.
