Web Conn Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 i've never seen Grindhouse but I've seen every other film and i liked them all. Do you have a wrestler that has never had a bad match, Bret maybe?
Web Conn Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 It might be Eddy actually. I was gonna say AJ Styles but Rippa posting that Frank Trigg match begs to differ.
Matt D Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 How many bad Arn matches have you seen? Maybe not counting the Renegade one since that was Flair throwing a hissy fit as booker. 1
Nice Guy Eddie Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I'm treading onto dangerous ground, but how about Benoit? The closest to a bad Benoit match I can think of is against Eddie at One Night Stand, where it looked like Eddie just didn't want to be there. 1

Maybe I'm the wrong person to chime in because I'm a huge Tarantino mark, but I don't think he's put out any stinkers, including his half of Grindhouse, Death Proof. The whole Grindhouse experience was probably the most fun I've ever had at the movies. 1
Web Conn Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I'm a Tarantino mark as well him and Spike Lee are my favorite directors. I'd say Spike hasn't had any bad films but there's been a few. I liked Chi-Raq but I know alot didn't.

At least Arn was trying to drag something useful out if it.

I can't comment on the Bret/Tom McGee match because like most people, I've never seen it.

I bet he had some not great matches in Southeastern or Georgia we likely havent seen.
Matt D Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 There's one Marty Lunde match up on classic (Vs Reed) and it's pretty good for what it is. I'll defend the Brainbusters/Bushwhackers matches too.

KidNatural Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I can't think of a bad match that Rick Steamboat had...

Steamboat was all but phoning it in through the rest of 1987 after losing the I-C title and he pretty much stopped giving a shit towards the end of his second WWF run too. I haven't seen it but I've always heard his KOTR 91 match with Ted DiBiase was shockingly disappointing.

Niners Fan in CT Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I've never seen a good Bushwhackers match. I've seen plenty of bad ones. shame because they are very good.

But that might be partly that you'd look at 'Steamboat vs Misawa' on paper, think "Wow, two all-time greats!" expect it to be super awesome, and then when it's just alright it's super disappointing.

That pretty much sums up Misawa''s non main event matches post his first TC.

Easy one to look at is the Rogs match from Royal Rumble 90. It's an effective comedy match. It does exactly what it's supposed to, is over with the crowd, and is a lot of fun for what it is.
