  1. How sick is it that what Vince said to this woman is basically what all the rich famous workers are all asking us to do with all of it. But it's not one bad experience. Now it's two women who were professionally and efficiently raped that we know of (and some others that we kind of know about...and the many many others that deep down we know about but don't "know" yet). I repeat my original question. How many gang rapes does it take before we can be okay with ruining the good work of the WWE? The sane answer was always and remains: 1...1 is enough to tear this company down and for any person who has the slightest human conscience left in them to never have anything to do with it again. The new answer is: As many as it takes to keep the $$$$ flowing, I guess but I'd rather focus on my Wrestlemania moment right now. and that's basically the answer you get too from your boss about how many people have to lose their pensions. How many people have to get laid off this week. How many people have to drown in the Rio Grande or the Mediterranean. How many poors have to die of painkiller ODs. How many nurses have to work triple shifts until how many patients live their last days being warehoused like dogs to be put down. A lot of these situations are far bigger and harder to solve and more difficult to avoid being part of than this one. And few are a simple and clear a line staring us all in the face as this one. And yet we still wait for one human being to emerge from this company and say anything other than "let's not let one bad experience ruin the good work we're doing."

  2. As for Starks, I’m kinda over him. He can go in the ring, but he does lean into being mini Rock a little too much. The guy to hold onto is Big Bill. By God he’s figured it all out. He fucking rules. That Boss Man Slam is a million times better than Baron Corbin’s. More and more I get some legit Sid vibes from Big Bill.

  3. Just something that came to mind after seeing all those CMLL guys... AEW talent who have participated in a Torneo Cibernetico- Claudio, Kingston, The Young Bucks, Rush, Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Rocky Romero, Juice Robinson, Matt Taven, Matt Menard, Scott Parker, Evil Uno, Stu Greyson, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Ruby Soho, Lady Frost... Booook it. Book an entire Rampage around it.

  5. I took in a screening of the 2009 masterpiece 'Black Dynamite' last night. At the Carlton. Neighboring Cinema to the historic Maple Leaf Gardens. Black Dynamite level show. Fuckin' awesome! Swerve v Hanger was so fun. Two of the very best. I'm so ready for heel Adam Page! I really wish we could at least get elimination rules for this 3 way. Please Coach Tony! Samoa Joe promo came correct. BTW boss Joe shirts looking like 'Eraserhead' shirts. Toni v Red was a nice TV match. Great job from Velvet. This felt like Toni really finding her legs IN RING with this character. Really hoping she and Deonna tear it the fuck down at the ppv. OC/Rocky/Trent promo took relaxed to mean meaningless and produced a bit of a comedic misfire. I loved BCC v CMLL. Fun mid-card feud going on. Very interested to see BCC at Arena Mexico. Assuming this is a feud with legs, I suspect the matches will get even better as they go along. Hoping Hechicero finds a way to stick around following all this. He's a perfect mid-level enhancement guy - if not more. Cole Group/Taylor bit left a little to be desired. 'Big Announcement from Tony' really gets ppl hoping and wishing. I honestly never expect more than 'big show in Boston', and I'm never disappointed. Jericho v Takeshita was fine. I thought Takeshita worked around Lionheart fairly well, and looked pretty strong coming out of this. Sammy's chairshot to Hobbs looked pretty gnarly. I echo the following sentiment concerning Jericho... Bill/Starks v Sting/Darby was so fun. That goddamn Bossman Slam! The 64 year old man diving. Bill's bounce back clothesline on Sting after the splash. Everything, everything! Perfect quarter hour to end a pretty blowaway Dino-mite! I said 'Goddamn, Goddamn!' Blood covered white suit Bucks with those perfect goatees! EVP Trigger! L-U-V-A-E-W!

  6. Starks is weird. He's just so inconsistent. I've seen stuff out of him where I'm fully on-board. Fuck yeah! This guy is the future! Then, there are times where I wonder if he'd rather be somewhere else.

  10. Sure seems like the next evolution of this Bloodline stuff is to run with the idea of a two man power trip. Also I’m absolutely lol’ing at Punk on that panel, talking about fighting bosses and taking out eyes and biting. EDIT: For anyone that didn’t keep watching, Rock interrupted Triple H’s interview backstage and told him to fix this or “he’s fucking fired”. Yeah they’re doing a two man power trip.

  11. Any company that says they’re like a family treats they employees like garbage. And the whole WWE is like a family thing is awful cause what it means is what we’re seeing they’re a family and they’re not gonna talk about the awful things any family member has done, that’s family matters so we all won’t understand.

  12. "We're just such a close family it's hard to process." father of family after a family member is given a paralysis drug and raped at a show "Kid, shut up about it, this is good PR for us. Remember we're all a family." So who is in the family I wonder? I guess Brock is family. But Ashley Massaro was not and neither was Janel Ganet. Nor was Rita Chatterton part of "the family." All those ring boys weren't part of "the family" either. It's kind of like how most companies will tell you this is a "team effort." Who's on the team? Not the workers. Maybe the top executives but no one below that. Not the customers. Not the small owners you sell products to. It turns out "the team" is like five guys and everyone else is blood for the machinery. I wonder how many people who are going to tell us soon how much of a tightly knit family the WWE is were or are really part of the family? How many really think they are part of the family. I guess the family dog is sort of part of the family. But most families wouldn't do to their pet what these families do to their sons and daughters.

  15. I saw it as Hangman thinking a draw meant neither of them got the shot, and Hangman's stated goal is to make sure Swerve never becomes champ, because that's how he hurts him the most. Hangman's bitterness towards Swerve and the fans is what is fueling his justified heel turn.

  16. I changed my mind. AEW fans deserve a 10 month Young Bucks tag reign. Make everyone job to them in 30 seconds or less, as punishment.

  17. It's being reported that the reason is Damore was constantly butting heads with the CEO because he wanted an increase in the budget to go after bigger stars and continue the growth. If that's true straight up Fuck TNA. That man literally dragged your corpse out of the grave with his vision. He grew TNA back into being a talked about relevant brand for the first time since Anthem bought it. The Man just drew the biggest gate and biggest buy rate in a decade. His vision was working you cheap fucks. Now they put in a stooge 2020s Jim Herd. And they will fall all the way back into that grave. At least lolTNA will be a thing again.

  19. I'm probably being an idiot here: are there any changes in the shoot besides it now becoming a title bout? In theory, it should main event for all of the reasons you noted. No disagreement here. The only piece of it I have reservations about is length - I'd just really, really hate for the crowd to dump on a tremendous effort if it ends up being a short-yet-chaotic affair (which I think has been a real winning formula for a lot of these Sting tags/trios so far). If Sting feels he can hang for 20 minutes or whatever? Then fuck yeah, go for it. The winner is the other piece - this is kinda parallel to a conversation I am having with a couple guys in the TV thread right now, but I think whatever the finish is will also dictate card placement to a degree - is it a "send them home happy" affair, or is it a Bucks heat-fest? I completely get the idea of not wanting to fade to black on the heels standing tall over a fallen Sting. I also completely get the idea of Sting wanting to go out on his back if he so desires - Idk that there's a wrong answer or path. This is tough, man. Joe deserves it for a long, long time, but when it comes to Swerve, I've got that voice going "Strike while the iron's hot." Hangman isnt a bad choice by any means, but with how important a story his first title chase was, I'd like him to get it back in a situation that has a little more meat on the bone, narratively speaking. I think going with Swerve here, and having Hangman be driven insane by it (I guess not unsimilar to Timeless Toni's story, but played straight) might be fruitful later on.

  21. That might have been the best Dynamite I've ever seen. Even with Jericho vs Takeshita besides the finish. I'm so glad AEW exists for shows like this. They have their issues but when they kill it, they KILL it.

  22. I hadn't thought of that, but I can see it happening. Rocky getting in Trent's ear that OC is holding them all back so he can be the star of the group. And in a roundabout way, blaming him for Taylor getting re-injured with the idea that the Kingdom attacked Taylor because they wanted to send a mesage to OC.

  23. https://twitter.com/AEW/status/1755588542250766469 Taya Valkyrie and Johnny TV are getting a scripted romcom series on AEW's TV channel. I probably won't watch this but I do like them taking the swing.

  24. I'm not sure I'm ready for Joe to not be champ already, but I do think Swerve will make a great champ at some point. The way his character has become, he can easily switch between heel or face depending on his opponent. It sort of reminds me of the old touring champion switching it up depending on the territory's challenger.

  25. They gotta re-sign Ricky. Now’s the time, while Cody’s all somber and wwe’s lost the “can do no wrong” luster. Fantastic show. Question: I’ve not paid much attention to CMLL. Have any of those guys been in wwe recently as LHP guys or anything?

  26. Not to speak for @hammerva, but in my opinion, Sting should get to go out on a high note. I don't think he should lose to any heels in his last match. If it was a case of the Bucks still being faces and doing sort of an HBK/Flair thing where they want to be in his last match because they respect/love him so much, then I'd be ok with them winning. It could be a passing of the torch thing, and that would be nice. But now, it'd be some dastardly heels beating down Sting, his sons and Darby, and then taking the belts to send him into retirement on a downer note.

  30. Heel Hangman driven crazy and being a heel by Swerve fucking rules. Can you imagine if Sting’s one son, the taller and more muscular of the two, the one who looks the most like Sting, were also a wrestler with his dad’s same charisma and ability? He’d be the biggest draw in the country. Dude is an absolute unit. It’s crazy. He’s like a fucking action figure.

  38. Tribute to the Troops is a hilarious reminder that 2003 WWE rode a wave of post 9/11 jingoism and pro military PR, and then just about a decade later started holding shows in the country responsible for 9/11. What a ride and what a testament to McMahon's absolute lack of humanity. In case you needed more ammo for that one.

  39. Absolutely. I gave Impact a chance when the AEW crossover first started. As soon as I saw D'Amore running around with a headset on making storyline decisions on camera, I noped right the fuck out of there. Dave picking up female fans by pretending to be Brian Adias is some Saul Goodman/Kevin Costner shit.

  42. @Lawful Metal, a question for you: What are the chances of this becoming a RICO case at some point? Given the civil cases will lead to criminal investigations and then charges, is there a decent chance that all of these will be similar enough that RICO happens? @Greggulator continues to be the voice of reason and bringing everything back to reality on here; the enduring journalistic legacy of this board.

  43. Every damn time with these chuckleheads. “My political views are being stifled by the woke powers that be” while the “political views” in question are just the most abhorrent shit that has nothing to do with politics (except the sad fact that this is what politics has become in some circles). Like she’d be fired from the show for pushing conservative fiscal policy or something similar.

But if you really want to see how little chance she has (and how many lawyers are just willing to blatantly steal Elon's money): I'm pretty sure the head of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter felt this was "epic."
