WWE stuff

WWE filed to trademark a new nickname for Roman Reigns,  “The Suplex-orcist” and “The Suplexorcist”. Something Heyman has made up, about banishing Brock Lesnar

That sounds like the nickname I had for that Latino Paranormal Activity movie, "The Mexorcist."

And calling Roman "The Suplexorcist" is bullshit.  That name needs to go with a gimmick of a wrestling priest who throws heels until the evil leaves them and they become babyfaces.

He's not going to be an Uso?

Solo Sikoa.

In other WWE news, Roman Reigns merch sales are on the level of John Cena now, and he has the highest merch sales. Which may make WWE more comfortable with having heels in the Ace role in the long run.

House shows or live events or whatever you want to call them, have Bobby Lashley vs Big E and Roman vs Drew listed for Nov, both could end up as potential future feuds on tv. Also looking at live events, seems WWE may not switch or swap the women belts. Maybe only the colors.

But keep in mind plans can change.

And Roman doesn't even throw suplexes. Or is he just exorcising Brock's suplexes? What does he chant during it? "The power of the punch compells you?"

The name does feel like something we should be seeing from a masked wrestler in Japan, Mexico, or the indies.

He does an overhead belly to belly suplex and a regular suplex on occasion. That is it. This is name that would probably fit so many other guys in WWE better with how many amateur wrestlers they have.

I saw that. My question was because he has 2 brothers already in the WWE and how would they address that with different gimmick names. But then again it's WWE so they probably haven't thought that far ahead lol

Since everyone fell off the Earth and didn't mention it yesterday, there was an entire category about Pro Wrestling Terminology on Jeopardy last night with mentions including tag team, bear hug, kayfabe, jabroni and Lucha Libre.

Excalibur is the guest on this week's Doughboys podcast, the third AEW talent to appear on the podcast about chain restaurants. If you've never listened, it's one of my favorites.

Per Meltzer on the WON radio show this morning - there will be no December WWE PPV (due to 2 PPVs in January - Jan 1 and Royal Rumble)

The December PPV was tentatively schedule to be TLC and take place in Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on Dec 12. Then it was moved to Dec 19 at a mystery location.

SDL on Dec 17 will take place at the Allstate Arena instead

This means a 6 week gap between Survivor Series and the next PPV

For both the Raw and Smackdown brands combined, WWE wants to do only 12 ppv's a year going forward. And of course both NXT and NXT UK get their own PPV's.

Are you astonished because Trebek died and it stayed on or that it was still on in general? It does great ratings. It wouldn't ever go away.

New Year's Day, not January 2nd (which would be on a Sunday)? January 1st is not a day a lot of people would like to work on, especially if it includes travelling on the evening of New Year's Eve or the morning of New Year's Day.

Bischoff wanted to run a combination WCW PPV/ Kiss concert on New Years Eve one year. Right when he was deep in his realising that being a Kiss mark with an unlimited budget meant he could pay Gene, Paul and the other two to hang out with him a bunch.

On the other hand, Heavy Lies the Crown being an indie show/ NYE party looks like great fun. Countdown to midnight, ring the bell, first match of the new year starts.

the plan was to hold that PPV on New Years Eve, December 31st, 1999... in Arizona (Sun Devil Stadium). With the show ending at 11:59pm (in an undisclosed time zone) with a fake power outage and then pyro for the new year.

An idea that could work better in Eastern Time, as opposed to either ending the show at 9:59 local time acting like it's midnight or 11:59 local time (1:59am Eastern time). The fact that things weren't fucking up in the parts of the world hitting midnight before the US was a bit of a relief for what would happen when it hit midnight here.

Instead he got sent home and they brought in Russo/Ferrera.

We were talking about Mysterio/Guerrero from WCW Halloween Havoc 1997 at the start of the month. The degree of difficulty was so high and everything was nailed. A ***** match.

I'm going to be isolated for a good chunk of tomorrow still though I can interact with the kids at least, so I'm glad for what I have in the queue. But the key to this is always to watch in on your terms, not theirs.
