AxB
I wonder if Teal Piper using her Dad's gimmick is going to encourage WWE to move Ronda away from her Piper-isms. Assuming she actually comes back at any point. As far as the Casino Battle Royal goes, I have a sneaky suspicion Brandy or Awesome Kong are the only two real candidates to draw the joker. Did they say the winner gets the title, or just that they're in the title determining match? Hopefully Yuka Sakazaki wins. Putting the belt on the most popular babyface is a good way to start. Casey
It's the same deal as what we got at Double Or Nothing. Winner of Casino Battle Royale vs (presumably) winner of another match = championship match on the TNT debut
Custos
I watched the Road to All Out episode through again sequentially and had a couple of takeaways. I don’t think they could have framed Spears any better than they have done in these vignettes. He’s probably got the most ‘wwe cast off’ stench to him coming in, and he’s presented as such a big deal here, with the master stroke of Tully as manager (the company actually showing respect and reverence to a legend is quite the novelty) played with a subtle sense of menace but with some straight men in the room (Ops Manager and Lawyer) so they still seem larger than life in comparison. Secondly, Hangman in his stitches ripping promo, at that crescendo moment, uses verbatim ‘blood and guts’ as he thanks Jericho for bringing this out in him. Is that where the Vince comment originated or just a curious coincidence? Either way, AEW has been reclaiming the Blood and Guts of pro wrestling since before Cody’s rebuttal.

It’s a common phrase. I highly doubt Vince has time to watch an Adam Page YouTube promo, much less letting it colour the language he uses in a quarterly earnings call.
Casey
Didn't that promo come after the earnings call? It was probably 100% intentional on AEW/Page's part to throw that line in there, if it was after that call.
Craig H
Is Teal Piper any good? Until that video, I had zero clue she was wrestling.
Curt McGirt
Just in case you too thought it a bit odd to name your daughter after a color, Teal is also a name for a small duck. So... well, he and her mother didn't name her after a color, I guess. Edited August 9, 2019 by Curt McGirt

I want to say that this'll be her first match, but I'm not sure. I read on Reddit that she was strictly an actress, and only been training to wrestle for a few years now. 14 minutes ago, Curt McGirt said: Just in case you too thought it a bit odd to name your daughter after a color, Teal is also a name for a small duck. It was more whether a lackey who was responsible for keeping tabs on AEW picked up (maybe subconsciously) on this turn of phrase that was then passed to VKM to summarise their promotion in a derogatory way. The Page promo was weeks before the investor call.

RIPPA
Couple of ticket related notes from the WON that dropped yesterday - The Bleacher Report stats shows that Baltimore, DC and Philly were some of their strongest streaming numbers - The Week Two Boston show will only be set up for 5000 seats - Week Three in Philly will be approximately 7000 seats
RIPPA
Oh and Nick Aldis said he was offered a deal but he countered with an offer that would allow him to do AEW and NWA and (according to him) AEW wasn't interested in that

I agree on Spears/Tully. Also, nice investigative work there. As a previous poster mentioned, likely a lackey informer, if not Vkm using a cliche, but hilarious to think of Mac-Man logging into his YouTube account and watching some of that ‘good shit’ road to. NikoBaltimore
I loved this week's episode but something that hasn't been mentioned yet was Nyla speaking about her path to AEW. Without saying any certain terms you got what she was referring to and it was pretty nice to see her open up about it. But to go with what has been said I believe Roddy's son Colt was also a wrestler. Not sure what happened to him or if he's still wrestling. But hopefully Teal has a good enough showing that wherever she's booked she'll be able to grow into being a darn good wrestler.
AxB
Colton Toombs was trying to make it in MMA. He went 4-0 as a amateur, but then was 0-1 as a pro, and that was 2010. Cagematch has him having had a 6 match career in pro wrestling, all in 2013 and 2014. 1

So Private Party upsets Young Bucks in the opening round? Young Bucks IMO should not be the first champions, they should win the title's further down the road I think the finals should be The Dark Order vs A Boy and His Dinosaur in the finals with ABAHD picking up the win, calling back to the finish of the triple threat at FFTF where Dark Order got the win.
Eivion
Not sure it was mentioned here, but Riho did mentioned she should be doing AEW at least one week a month while spending most the rest of her time working Stardom. She does still seem to being trying to do other things here and there when she is able. She just became Stardom's High Speed champ tonight/today.
