Niners Fan in CT Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Okay that makes sense, they want to stream it at 8pm for the British fans. We'll have to settle for watching it on-demand unless I make it home before 3 every Wednesday but unlikely.

That's what I did for Takeover London and that worked out quite well for me. And it oddly might guarantee I catch it in real time unlike other shows at 8 where I tend to catch up on a backlog of shows and games by then. 1
CSC Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Aaaaand just like that my Wednesday noon lunch breaks are booked for the next forever.
Eivion Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Thought the first episode was good. I really dug Andrews/Coffy and Dunne/Dar. That was easily the best Dar has looked in WWE. 1
John from Cincinnati Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Nigel absentmindedly called Joe and Mark "the Coffey boys." They ought to put that on a shirt.
Infinit Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Loved the first show. So refreshing to see WWE shows in distinct environments. Hope NXT UK only tapes in cool looking venues like this...although it was awkward looking when Moustache Mountain had to cut their promo facing the hard cam and not the live audience (but the did a pretty good job engaging with the crowd) 1
Peck Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Not like the WWE to perpetuate stereotypes or anything but I think 3 of the first 5 fans shown on camera at the opening of the show had braces..
Justin877 Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 My day was made when I saw "Big" Dave Mastiff wailing on some little dude.

OH, that reminds me.. it was fucking awesome for the camera following Mastiff down to the ring to shake with every step he took. It's the little things like that that make a huge difference to me. 2
FireThunder Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 Pete Dunne vs Danny Burch was a hell of a match. 2

Library Dude Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 This is a mixed bag so far. There's been a fair few characters who feel hokey or not exactly TV-ready. The Coffey's are decent heels and I dislike Wolfgang for reasons I can't exactly explain, so they make a decent faction. Thought James Drake seemed better than in the UK tournament. The main event between Dunne and Burch was good stuff. Weirdly enough the thing that made the biggest impression on me so far was the Jinny promo. That looked great. Loved the 'Vogue'-esque graphics. Compare that to most depictions of "fashionable" women throughout wrestling history.
MORELOCK Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I'm sure they're only trying to catch up because the tapings were so long ago, but airing two episodes a week doesn't seem like the best idea when you're essentially debuting 20 new wrestlers. It's a little much.
Norwegian Rudo Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 If rumours about the recent German tryout are true we might get NXT UK and NXT Germany/Europe as a block when they run out of double episodes. Their Wednesday block on the network seems to be doing very well for them, surprisingly with 205 Live as the least watched show.
Peck Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I'm, admittedly, not familiar with much European wrestling, but this Zack Gibson fellow sure knows how to draw some nuclear heat. 1
Eivion Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 Just caught up. The two episodes a week thing may be just a bit much. Hopefully it doesn't last too long. Toni/Kai was fun while it lasted. I like all the promos for Jinny. I was a bit worried about the Coffeys since they didn't interest me much in their singles matches, but Wolfgang joining them and that six-man tag on the latest episode alleviated a of my worries. Hope they actually come up with a team name soon. I'm still not all in on Gibson in ring wise, but he is a solid heel. I did dig the match with Jordan. Dunne/Burch was great.
chrisjb Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 I think it's lost a step since in recent weeks, though that might be because. a) Due to the tapings moving to Birmingham b) Episodes now being shown back-to-back Besides that, there's been some solid, if not great stuff. Devlin's getting positioned towards the top and I can't wait to see him and Dunne, though I don't quite buy into his whole 'I'll rebrand NXT UK a NXT Ireland' promo that was shown this week. Off to the Liverpool tapings later and I've no idea how the crowd will react to Gibson. Kinda hoping we enter bizarro land where he's the biggest babyface in wrestling.
