  1. Zack started his Jersey bro gimmick on The Dirt Sheet (which along with Santino's Casa was the main outlet 10 years ago for undercard dudes to goof around for their own amusement and in many cases, come up with better stuff than was being written for them). The whole gag was that it came out of nowhere and that "woo woo woo" would be the gimmick to get him and Hawkins over. Hawkins as the baffled straight guy to this is gold. Zack was never as OTT on TV as he was on the web shows. I always assumed it was that the writers told him to tone it down. But he had plenty of potential as a delusional goofy heel and as a comedy face, they never made the most of him.
  2. I lead a quiet life. Three people throwing cups is pretty crazy to me.
  3. "If X wins we riot" is always over-dramatised, but I can see a lot of people throwing stuff if Dash gets pinned.
  4. The guy who emigrated to the US and learned another language to become a pro wrestler? And who has got over repeatedly despite the evil foreign heel gimmick having a pretty short shelf life? Yeah he doesn't seem capable of doing anything without having his hand held Some info on his pre-WWE days here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rusev_(wrestler)
  5. I've been looking for a gif of this move for years. Success! Albert had an insane moveset back then. This, the TKO and the Baldo Bomb could all have been super murder death kill finishers. Sadly he only ever won on Heat. This move got dropped when Taker started using the Last Ride. And no, I am not totally obsessed with Albert. Much.
  6. This is a mixed bag so far. There's been a fair few characters who feel hokey or not exactly TV-ready. The Coffey's are decent heels and I dislike Wolfgang for reasons I can't exactly explain, so they make a decent faction. Thought James Drake seemed better than in the UK tournament. The main event between Dunne and Burch was good stuff. Weirdly enough the thing that made the biggest impression on me so far was the Jinny promo. That looked great. Loved the 'Vogue'-esque graphics. Compare that to most depictions of "fashionable" women throughout wrestling history.
  7. I was just coming in here to comment on that (just saw the photos over on WWE.com). That could be a great match if given the time and it actually meant something.
  8. I wouldn't say this an all time classic or anything, but Mustafa Ali has been quietly becoming a pretty good promo. I dug the vibe of this a lot.
  9. Oddly enough the only ones with the plain logo seem to be in the UK. If the shipping isn't too extortionate there are a bunch of colours here (and a vest!) https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152061270637
  10. I've found a few on eBay, not official so no idea of the quality. Nitro/TNT logo: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F282461882630 This seller in Canada ("knockoutees") has a bunch of nice retro WCW prints, including shirts for Muta, Pillman, The Steiners, 4 Horsemen etc and event shirts as well. Bash at the Beach logo: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F272296880106 Fall Brawl/War Games logo: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F272746187061
  11. Cool video on Stacey Ervin I hope he sticks with it, his movement is insane. That moonsault!
  12. Preaching to the converted here bruddah, I possess one of the world's worst Crimson Ghost tattoos. I've never seen Danzig live but have friends who literally fought people to touch his spikey rubber gauntlets when he reached into a crowd haha. Rock and punk in the UK is a pretty niche/non-mainstream thing. I honestly wouldn't expect a guy who looks like Spud to know who he was, but hey, cool. Wrestlers meet Danzig could be it's own thread. Bonus Misfits content: God bless Viktor from The Ascension
  13. Ruby Riot, Sarah Logan and Zandig. No wait... I'm impressed/surprised that Rockstar Spud is one of the people freaking out in the comments.
  14. It took me a while to find Big Dave. I don't know how or why, but I now want some sort of interaction between his and Michael Pena's MCU characters. Or a buddy cop movie with the two of them.
  15. Here is one where there is obviously a bit of mis-communication, so Ron decides to powerbomb Jeff like a sack of shit. Sorry no gif, only video
  16. I hope they aren't splitting up Tino and Moss already. They are such perfectly dislikeable dickheads together. I would keep them as a team for a long time, right to the main roster before ever thinking about splitting them. A face turn for either right now seems pretty pointless. People really hate Tino.
  17. I haven't watched the show yet, but is this a Gene Parmesan homage? Because if so, god bless Sami Zayn.
  18. This thread always seems to provide "stables I never knew I wanted until now". That pic of Samoa Joe and The Bar reminded me of this.
  19. Screwface is UK slang for someone with a mean face/scowl. That's a pretty cool wrestling nickname actually. First time I came across the term was the verse on this at 1.50:
  20. Cheers for the heads up. It's been fun looking through these. I particularly liked this one.
  21. WWE once had a stable where Brock was the smallest guy (I can't find a decent picture but Team Lesnar later added A-Train too)
  22. I saw Alexa on the UK NXT tour last year. Even though she was facing Asuka and NOONE questioned the outcome at all, she was great at riling up the crowd, stalling and she really laid her offence in too. I honestly thought she was one of the best performers on the whole show in terms of engaging the audience. Lot of time for her.
  23. I've been trying to find a gif of The Surfer Dudes with Attitudes but have so far been thwarted. This will have to do: Bonus Southpaw gif content:
  24. Finally caught up on Revival vs New Day and it was great. The attack on the ice cream bike was incredible; kudos to New Day selling the Revival being the ones to answer the open challenge too, I thought Big E and Xavier had really good reactions there. Graves' enthusiasm was great but did Cole have his notes mixed up? He put over Dawson as the powerhouse and Dash as the calculating one (actually saying he was known as The Mechanic). I kept thinking it must have been driving Corey nuts. Not related to Raw but this rules. Dawson is the best.
