That sounds really cool but there's not really any suspense to it, because announcing that means that of course it's going to happen. Just like announcing ahead of time that there's gonna be a sudden-death overtime in an Iron Man match or something. (Applaud to just drew for the "Sudden deathmatch" joke)

With some gimmick matches, you have to do the rare outcome to keep it from being too predictable. Just like ending a match during the commercial break and showing the viewer what happened. Or having a main event end early and having the “stand by match” take place for a tv time remaining.

He’s a big fish in a small pond getting a push towards the main event. In your scenario, he’d be back in a tag team and that’s exactly why he left to begin with because he wanted to do solo stuff/actually advance his career, whereas by all accounts Ortiz was happy to do whatever (or nothing at all).

Is he? I don’t watch enough tna to have an informed opinion. It has always bothered me that S&O never won the AEW tag titles, and i personally think that’s where the issues started…

He’s feuding with Moose, who is one of the top guys on their roster (for some reason). He’s been treated as a guy who’s at or near the top of the card since he debuted there.

TNT: Takeshita

Tag Team: Outrunners briefly, then Lashley/Benjamin

Women's: Stat, then eventually Hayter

Women's tag: Saraya/Harley

FTW/Hardcore: Darby

Get rid of everything ROH and all the redundant singles belts (International, Continental, TBS). Can't believe the one belt they actually did trim down was one that was differentiated in some way. The trios belts don't necessarily need to go away forever, but now is a good time to take a break and see in anyone actually misses them. I'd be ok with ditching them if Freebirding became a common and accepted practice in the tag division. The Continental belt should just be a ceremonial belt given to the winner of the CC, not something to be defended.

World - They have Okada. Use him. Run him and Osprey. Throw Kenny in with them when he is ready.

Tag - GYV, Bucks, Jay & Juice and all of the rest of the many teams. Use Jericho and his group to utilize his star power and cut down on his ring time. 

Women - Riho forever. Book her like Sheik in Toronto. They could fire the rest of the roster and just bring in a new challenger every month.

TBS/TNT - Make it a real TV championship with a 15 minute match on TV every week. 

International as the secondary singles.

Here's mine:

AEW World Championship: Bryan Danielson.

AEW TNT Championship: Brody King.

AEW International Championship: Claudio Castagnoli.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: FTR.

AEW Women's Championship: Jamie Hayter.

AEW TBS Championship: Athena.

Get rid:

AEW World Trios Championship.

AEW Continental Championship. I miss the visual of the Continental Championship, ROH World Championship and NJPW Strong Championship.

 

AEW World: Bryan then Takeshita

AEW TNT: Garcia.  This belt gets the open challenge rule.  Win 10 open challenges, you get a world title shot guaranteed.

AEW Crown (combine it with the ROH and International Belts, make it an internal triple crown fought under Continental rules): Hangman then Jay.  Holding the Crown at year's end gives you a title shot the next year anytime you want a week in advance if the champion isn't scheduled already.  If the Champion wins, the crown goes away until the next C2.

The C2 is always a field of the Champion,  the top 10 contenders who wish to enter, and the winner of a last chance battle royal. 

AEW Tag: The Gunns

AEW Trios: Top Flight and Lio Rush.

AEW Women's Tag: Tayjay when Tay returns

AEW Women's : Willow

AEW TBS: Athena

The other ROH belts would be pure developmental belts, or dropped.

Yes, I watch AEW. I was saying for the hypothetical question of how to arrange the belts, I would bring it back in some form. It doesn't have to be called FTW and low-card hardcore matches usually pop the crowd and fill a niche that doesn't overshadow what the major belts offer, while being a style that's intriguing to see what high-end workers do with it.

Yeah, the less former TNA Impact writers/creative the better. A bit more of change over of the creative team surrounding the Coach is also welcomed.

Ahh, I see you weren't an avid 1 AM WCW Worldwide viewer like myself.  Who can forget Jean Paul Levesque, nay Terra Rizing?   My dad liked him, I think they put over that he was trained by Kowalski and that spoke to his WWWF childhood.  I thought he sucked.
