If Natural (or Log, or whoever) doesn't want to answer your question, that's their prerogative. Making multiple posts insisting on an answer or a discussion is textbook sealioning. Natural has been very transparent about who he likes and who he doesn't, and he posts in the same exact manner about what he likes. If that upsets you, do what Log suggested and ignore him. I have a suspicion that Okada-Danielson 3 will be their best. I don't think it's a stretch to expect nothing short of magic. Further, a look at Okada's AEW reel would reveal a pretty outstanding set of highlights in and out of the ring. I do see the 'Another' sentiment tho. It can be accumulated as fast as: an inevitably forgettable (if perfectly fine for television) first fall 4 Way on the last 5 plus hour PPV, an excellent match with Claudio - maybe forgotten because of it's draw finish and the PPV days later, and lastly an underrated Grand Slam match against freezing cold Sammy regulated to Collision. I think Okada is also in a semi-TK holding pod awaiting an Omega return. The timing on the inevitable Takeshita match feels very slow, but it will be magical. Yeah, I was gonna say he's actually had a handful of matches where he decidedly wasn't in first gear or going through the motions (which I don't think he's doing anyway). Kingston, Claudio, Pac, Fletcher singles matches. They're just spacing it out more to keep him healthy/special. I'd like to see more of him on TV, not necessarily in matches, but other than that no complaints about how they've used him. He's only been in the promotion for 6 months Edited October 2 by ExcellenceofAirPollution 2
AxB Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Per Fightful, Dynamite and Collision are going to be simulcast on MAX from January. 1
Casey Posted October 2 Posted October 2 It would be funny if that’s all it is. No PPVs, no back catalog. Just Dynamite and Collision airing the same day on Max. I’d be so mad 1 1

But he's capable of a lot more than he's been allowed to show. It feels like coaches or agents got in his ear and talked him out of doing a lot of what makes him special in the ring. It's like the stories of Hogan pulling Big Show aside in his first year as The Giant and telling him to knock off the athletic shit he's supposed to be a big lumbering oaf. Wardlow hasn't even hit second gear compared to what he pulled off on the indies. But until he actually puts some of that work on the screen I can understand why you wouldn't take my word for it. The Variety article mentions "discounted PPVs will be available on Max later in 2025". That blurb is vague. Live PPVs? Discounted replays a week later? How discounted? Seems like an odd point to be vague on so hopefully AEW has a clear and concise announcement tonight that explains it all 1
Shartnado Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I started watching All Out 2019 after finishing All Out 2020 (great main event and tag title match there, btw) and there was a Private Party vs Angelico & Jack Evans match on the pre-show that was already completely bonkers! Holy crap what action! How much have Private Party regressed in the last 5 years? Angelico was also way more exciting than he is these days.

He is, but he was already middle-aged by the time Toni Storm was born. By the time she was a young adult, he was in his mid-sixties. I mean, it's theoretically possible. But I'm inclined to lump this story in with the picture of Toni at Wembley Stadium from the early twentieth century. 1
Casey Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I hate to break it to you brother but Toni Storm was born in 1932 3 2 4

zendragon Posted October 3 Posted October 3 (edited) WRESTLING IS CINEMA!!!! Toni storm tells a a story about getting weenie slapped by Stan Hansen... I guess those sort of film did play in cinemas once upon a time... Edited October 3 by zendragon 1
Sex Machine Gun Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Toni is literally timeless. She just chose to hang on to the 20s/30s look for a while. 3

Dolfan in NYC Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Bobby Lashley has also signed with AEW. I need MVP to step aside and let Stokely manage Hurt Business 2.0. 3

MVP has been great in his two promos so far, but you've got me salivating at the idea of Stoke and Nana going back and forth in a similar fashion now. Even if they don't do what you're pitching here, I want Nana to add another client in the women's division just to get to that via a Stat feud 2
Log Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I do miss the days of there being a bunch of heel managers and sometimes they work together, but they're also all slimy dudes who'll backstab you at a moments notice. 10
HarryArchieGus Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Just reading over the ROH tapings, I'd love to know thinking behind the Outrunners continuing to work Honorclub over AEWTV?

Spoiler I just heard on WOL that Sammy got hurt, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were ROH tag title bound, just to at least throw em a bone while the Bucks/PP story plays out for the main belts

Agreed - kinda similarly, I'm a fan of stables that have a representative in almost every division in that Horsemen sort of way, where you've got a World title caliber guy, a secondary title guy, and a tag team - so that's another big reason why I like Marina's addition to BCC (or going back half a friggin' decade now, why I was always pushing for Layla Hirsch to join Team Taz). It's a good way to kinda give some of those women's matches stakes/repercussions outside of the division, thus (ostensibly) elevating their importance - and I think your idea works in a similar way: if Nana, whose main charge Swerve just came off a great, long, World title run, introduces a new woman as his client, she would almost immediately feel like a big deal to the audience. Edited October 3 by Zakk_Sabbath or anyone, really, not necessarily a woman, but just to illustrate that point 7

On my rewatch of 80s WWF, shit like that bugged the hell out of me. Steamboat teaming with both Randy Savage AND Jake Robert’s, two men who had, individually, on separate occasions, tried to end his life, was fucking egregious. 6
