Steamboat teaming with both Randy Savage AND Jake Robert’s, two men who had, individually, on separate occasions, tried to end his life, was fucking egregious. Shows how annoying the Honky Tonk Man was in kayfabe. "Yeah, these guys tried to kill me but THAT motherfucker..." 3 6
Sublime Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Continuity has never been a strong point in American TV wrestling history telling. I seem to remember 20!years ago or so WWE hiring someone to track the continuity of their shows and they fired them about a month later because they found too many errors. AEW does try to keep things straight and that’s something I appreciate. I liked the time a group of legends saved Lawler from an attack and he shock all their hands except Kamala who he kept looking at side eyed it shows that some places value that kind of thing more than others, even when the event happens in a place that doesn’t. 7

If he was washed at that point, he must have been something else 10 years prior! Jack in his prime was incredible. A cutting edge flyer with charisma to spare. Would’ve been a HUGE star in WWE if they had been at all interested in guys his size in the 00’s. They also probably thought his “white guy who is very into hip-hop” act was too close to Cena, at the time. 5 1

I'm not sure if it came to fruition or not, but I recall reading that Tony Schiavone offered to be in charge of that with AEW at some point in the last few years - so at the very least he's got stuff like that in mind. I thought the Ian hiding under the table thing on Grand Slam Collision, despite it's simplicity/goofiness, was actually a real pro move in that area Edited October 4 by Zakk_Sabbath 3

One of my favorite things about Evans back in ROH was that he was so flexible, guys like Danielson could bend him into all sorts of painful-looking submissions. Pretty obnoxious to think you have a more valid opinion than someone who knows him. You’ve probably never met Jacobs and know nothing egotistical him except you don’t like his politics, right? Lol, this forum is so far up its own ass…. Anyway, on the bright side, you’re my breaking point. Last post, I won’t be back. 4

It honestly makes since though. Steamer was thee capital-B Babyface ever, who never turned. In character terms he was the most accepting and honorable person in wrestling, who could probably forgive anything. Except Honky, I guess. But then you are talking the exact opposite, the most reprehensible and unforgivable heel in the business due to being just a total chickenshit. This kind of works into the Glen Jacobs discussion. Of all people Danielson should be pissed at his politics, but he could be really really nice and forgiving. Or feel beholden to him for them working together and getting over so well. (And, please don't think I'M being forgiving of Kane for being a libertarian. All you have to do is go on the DVDVR Discord to have that opinion discouraged.)

You might want to read the Collision spoilers/watch that show on Saturday. They have a match. Also, the Outrunners have had more AEW matches this year than ROH. It’s pretty close to even actually, but still, just sayin’. 1

Just an issue of terminology, he filed in 2021, it was registered in March 2024 but it spread around twitter last week again. I don't think its for AEW though, I assume it was for him to possibly use on the Indies. 2

Just Adam Bay Bay Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I was wondering why they’d be bringing in Sami Callahan and giving him that kind of push especially with how out of shape he’s gotten (referring to Mox’s trademark that used to be the tag team name for him and Sami).
