I'd say he's borderline. I'd also be surprised if he had anywhere near as many PPV/PLE main events as Edge, but I can't find a match database online that lets you search by position on the card, so I'm not prepared to back that up.

Okay, but to circle back to the original point (or at least what I think the original point was) - the only time AEW ever treated him as a tippy top guy was when he beat Luchasaurus. He's never been near the world title.

I think we came up with Aaron Solo, Billy Gunn, Butcher, Jacked Jameson, Vincent, Marq Quen, Angelo Parker, Max Caster, Ogogo, Cutler, and the Von Erich Grandkids. There's also a case that replacing one of those guys with a washed dude like Jericho or Dustin which adds to the depressing factor even though it increases the name value.

Action Andretti, Brandon Cutler, Griff Garrison, Johnny TV, Peter Avalon, Preston Vance, Toa Liona, Vincent, Jacked Jameson, Marshall Von Erich, Ross Von Erich, Shane Taylor

Pretty well done there, but is there room for Dad Ass? I'd sub out talented big man Shane Taylor and Andretti for any one of the following: 'Premiere Athlete' Ariya Davari, Matt Sydal, Shawn Dean, Carly Bravo, Bear Bronson, Bear Boulder, Anthony Ogogo. Luther, Commoroto and.... Ortiz!!!

I think it says good things about the AEW roster that every "worst possible" Classic line-up that's been proposed has included at least one or two guys I think are pretty cool.

Jon Moxley beat Orange Cassidy for the AEW International Championship at AEW All Out 2023, lost it to Rey Fenix on AEW Dynamite (20th September 2023), Orange Cassidy regained the belt beating Fenix on Dynamite (10th October 2023) and defended it against Mox at AEW Full Gear 2023.

My brother in Christ, Edge main evented a Wrestlemania. He was a main eventer by the biggest metric possible! In the mid- to late-00’s, he was positioned as the top heel on whichever show he was on. Cena, Batista, Taker…their asses we’re working Edge, nightly.

A lot of non main eventers main evented Mania.  Bam Bam Bigelow?  😁  But seriously, though, I guess it's just perception.  I never felt like he was a top guy.  He wasn't Austin, Rock, Cena, Taker, etc.  He was a guy they wrestled, the supporting character to the real stars.  Again, just my opinion.

Hey, don't laugh at Bam Bam Bigelow! (Especially not via graphical emoticon!) Bam Bam Bigelow was awesome.

Also, don't forget Edge main evented WrestleMania twice - he and Undertaker closed out WM24 and he, Roman Reigns, and Daniel Bryan were the final match of Night 2 of WM37. The list of people with multiple 'Mania mains is much more select. The fact that Edge's two mains were thirteen years apart kind of speaks to his stardom level too, in my opinion, as it shows he was at a high level for a long time.

Certainly he was never the company ace, never at Austin/Cena/Hogan level. But to me "main eventer" covers more people than "company ace". Certainly Edge was never the latter. He was more HBK level. (Though I guess HBK technically was company ace for a year or two. He just sucked at it.)

Edge vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXIV is one of the best WrestleMania main events ever and it's high up on The Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak as well.

So, if he was still champion, wouldn't Okada still have to participate? Because I really want to see Okada vs Luther .

I'd swap out Matt Sydal. Granted, he's not physically what he was during ROH's glory days or his WWE run, but he can still go, so it kind of saddens me to see him lumped in this list. Let's replace Sydal with Mr. Julia Hart, Lee Johnson.

If Deathmatch Legend Luther were still actively wrestling, he’d make my list for sure.

Completely agree. Ya know, ROH on Honorclub would be a helluva lot more interesting if they put one of these line-ups together for their own Round Robin. Give me a Bear Bronson v Toa Liona.

Hard seconded, other than hiding it on Honor Club - if Rampage is gonna go out, this is the most Rampagey way to do it IMO: sneaky good matches no one knew they wanted
