Yes and I think I even said that when they added that element to the chip, but that would also require Tony Khan being a more on-screen authority figure than any of us want.

You honestly think that the man who banned the use of PRONOUNS in commentary isn't linguistically batshit?

Seriously, no WWE commentator ever refers to a wrestler as She or He (nor would they ever refer to a Wrestler as They, although that's moot because WWE is never signing an Enby). It's full names only, all of the time.

"We saw last week how Dave Batista viciously attacked John Cena from behind, and now tonight John Cena is back on Raw! What will John Cena have in store for Dave Batista, and how will Dave Batista respond to John Cena?"

TItle switches on MITB contracts feel as legit as a Champion losing their title in a rotten first fall three way. 

I'm not the biggest fan of the gimmick and I don't really like AEW using what is seen as a WWE concept because it's just more fodder for all the jabronis on the internet HOWEVER TBF Chris Jericho legit came up with the idea and sold Vince McMahon on it.....so honestly I'd say he has as much claim to it as anyone and if Tony wants to use it in AEW who fucking cares?

Interesting note. Thanks for sharing. I had no idea Jericho was the founder. That said, my biggest issue isn't taking a WWE thing as much as the way this concept cheapens a title win. It's not worth the pop.

Fun beside the point fun fun. 
when I’m writing I’ll use less pronouns (not outright ban or if it’s someone talking. I will use shortened or nicknames so it doesn’t sound like a weird robot.
So for fun, here’s how I’d change that:

"We saw last week how Dave Batista viciously attacked John Cena from behind, and now tonight Cena is back on Raw! What will John have in store for Batista, and how will the former Leviathan respond to the Doctor of Thuganomics?"

AEW’s YouTube is airing a several hour Timelines video of Danielson’s 2021-2022 and goddamn it makes me miss those years. Especially after that stinker of a show last night.

It’s a shame I’ll have to resort to Etsy for something like this video for Punk, but it is what it is. I love these Timeline videos.

I care, I don't care about ownership or ripping off or anything like that, I care that it is one of the most tired tropes in wrestling and we'd all be better off it it was retired for good across all of wrestling for a decade or so. Get rid of that and three way matches ending when one person hits their finish and the third person tosses them and steals the pin.

i just want tag rules to be enforced.

Yeah.  Or, hell, rules period.  Refs frisking guys for foreign objects during pre-bout instructions.  Pre-Bout instructions, PERIOD.

You can't build to No Holds Barred matches unless some holds are barred the rest of the time.

 

And as several of us have said before, Money In The Bank has run it's course because we've already seen it's logical endpoint (10!? years ago, wow) when Rollins cashed in during the Wrestlemania main event and won.  There's nowhere else left to go from there, especially not in AEW which just simply isn't old enough for an All In/All Out world title main event to have the same historical weight.

No more one fall three- and four-ways, period!  A champion losing the belt because some other person was pinned is chickenshit booking (we have to keep the champion strong!) and devalues the title.

Multi-person matches should indeed be elimination-style, as they make for better matches with more interesting outcomes. I'm just not sure if those should be pinfall or submission only? DQ's and countouts make for cheap eliminations, but if it's always anything goes in those matches, then interference will cheapen the results.

Besides, wasn't that at least partially explained as part of what Tony Khan had to give MJF for him to come back? In storyline, anyway? It went from "future title shot" to Money in the Bank rules?

Adding to this, no more "Three ways and other multiperson matches are no DQ". I don't know how long this has been a rule, but it seems like it's a stipulation that's being taken advantage of more and more all the time. You don't need a table bump in every match.

Even if it's a first elimination three way, the kayfabe logic behind no DQ is flawed.  "Oh no, if we DQ'd someone, then who is the winner?"  Fuck's sake, just throw that person out of the match and continue it one on one.

I only want to see a three way/multi man match if Scott Steiner is the special guest color analyst breaking down the mathematical probabilities of each combatant winning.

Also, put those "win probability graphics" on screen in a score bug like ESPN does for baseball now, only instead of numbers and bar graphs it should be denoted by a number/series of cartoon Scott Steiner chainmail heads

There should be no more than 2 ladder matches a year. There should be no more than one table spot on the free TV shows per PPV cycle.
