As much as the Rock annoys me more often than not recently, seeing the he Rock play Danny Devito in a muscled up body was honestly beyond hilarious. I make no apologies for loving both of those damn movies far more than I should. (the Robin Williams one is also fantastic). A Note, I've never watched Raymond, Big Bang, lol.

I had contemplated making a second road trip from Philly to NC for this show(Sting's retirement match was the other road trip I made). i decided that since it was the middle of the week, it wouldn't be a good idea/use of time. After watching it, yeah, i definitely regret my laziness. The Women, who always bring it in hardcore matches, absolutely showed out and AEW really does have a deep, amazing womens roster. I enjoyed the whole show, but you could tell that all 12 of them wanted to make a lasting impression in a match that according to reports, a lot of them have been asking for, for years. I can only speak for myself, but I think that Skye Bue replaced Britt Baker with the most iconic "Bloody visage" for the womens side and ill absolutely be buying a shirt if they put it on there. Well done.

I'd imagine its a matter of one person being nothing but performative and one person actually following through with their beliefs

I second the love for Hayer/Aminatas finish. Simple and effective. It does feel like they're telegraphing Mone/Athena v Toni/Mina as the final, but i'd really like to see pretty much any other team in this win it, since it should be a showcase for other women while those four are in high profile spots on the womans roster already. Takeshita v Okada is going to be amazing and I can't, can't wait for it. Bandido really is having one of the best years of any wrestler active this year and it's great. Looking forward as well to seeing Jurassic Express v Brodido at some point. Can already hear the Meat shouts at Luchasaurus/Brody King. Joe's explanation for his heel turn was just perfect. Great dynamite.

I'm noted as anti Punk as they come, but I totally agree with you on the McIntyre feud. That was tremendous. I know it doesn't help my own bias that I could go without Rollins and Punk unless theyre facing someone worthwhile, but them facing each other, it's my own personal worst case scenario. In my own dream booking scenario, Bronson and Bron would just merc both of them and give them 6-8 months off of TV for a reset.

There is a direct correlation between how bad the shows have become and Punk/Rollins being the central focus.

Well, outside of the product being 99% unwatchable lately, this gives me yet another reason to not even attempt to watch it. What scumbags.

Realizing this was TOD22 and I was at TOD1 made me feel old in a way I havent felt before lol. Then I remember I was at Cage of Death 2, the first Best of the Best and i'm upset at how far CZW has fallen, outside of the early two big shows.

I agree with you on all points, and the added exclamation point, to me, is that the more and more everything focuses on Rollins/Punk, the worse this gets. I still enjoy NXT and anything Sami Zayn does though.

The edit of this promo with the Twin Peaks music over it is still amazing though.

Not Exactly related to the 8 man, but considering the Callis family now I really want to see Brody/Wardlow.

That absolutely killed a LOT of the enjoyment I had for MJF. I still like watching him sometimes and WHEN he wrestles, he delivers, but that was some top tier toddler BS that destroyed Wardlow in a way i dont think he's ever recovered from, though there has been discourse on that previously.

With it looking like Ospreay and Swerve missing time after Forbidden Door, they need Kingston back.

I really hope at some point these two are in the same promotion again.
