goodhelmet
So, after a month of TV, I think creatively and aesthetically, it's a success. I watched 2 episodes live, and although I didn't always enjoy the wrestling, I enjoyed the TV show. So easy to watch. I know JR gets criticized, but it's so refreshing hearing announcers who aren't talking in corporate Vince-speak. I like how they are searching for their groove. Sometimes, they are a little too wrestling heavy but everything feels exciting. The angles and promos they have pulled off are top notch. The big concern, maybe, is that they haven't been able to retain viewers. They need a rebound week. Every week, the numbers have been lower than the week before. No World Series, no more excuses. Gain viewers, don't lose them. I'm still excited for this company but I want the world to be excited too.
Web Conn
I’ve been trying to figure out how they’ve been losing viewers every week. They’ve been putting on high quality shows every week. They are getting better every week it’s a shame. Let’s hope it is the World Series and next week they are up closer to one million viewers again. I’d like to see what the core viewership consists of.
HarryArchieGus
Unreal first month of television. They were good to begin, but working week to week they've become that much better. Here's to another month of tremendous television wrestling!

You can have great shows, but you do need another major name. I know people don’t want to hear it, but if Orton is seriously considering jumping, then go for it. The good thing is AEW doesn’t go on tours, so less of a chance for Orton to be a huge piece of shit to the locker room, and backstage staff when he gets bored. Big matches with Cody, Pentagon, Fenix, and Omega. Too much upside not to bring him in. Edited November 1, 2019 by LoneWolf&Subs

Don't get me wrong when he's on he's on but truth be told Orton hasn't been on in years. If I had to choose between Randy Orton or CM Punk in AEW i'd pick Orton. Randy Orton outside the WWE is a fun thought. I'd imagine Orton signing would have it's critics but if Randy isn't pushed to the top of the card solely because he's a WWE guy then I think we'll be alright. Orton coming in as a heel could be fun. If i could choose someone from WWE to jump it would be Kevin Owens. Kevin Steen coming in to AEW to rid them on Chris Jericho would be awesome as fuck.
John from Cincinnati
Considering the magnitude of such a jump, he'd almost have to be coming in at the top of the card to start off. The big issue is that everyone gets to wrestle however they want. If Orton were to come in, I'd want someone to be the boss and prohibit use of the cutter. The RKO is the deadliest move in the company. Don't go killing Randy's move. Unfortunately, I don't think this group would play like that. While a match and feud with Cody seem obvious, I also think he'd make a great foil for Omega and Page. Buckshot lariats and the OWA getting countered into the RKO? I'm here for that. odessasteps
Orton as Tully’s final boss change for Cody would be interesting. i presume he is also a big enough star that people would not call him “a wwe castoff” if he switched companies.
HarryArchieGus
I just caught the fabulous Jordan Devlin-David Starr bout from the February OTT event. I'm told their recent bout was quite strong too. Are these guys on the AEW radar I wonder? Has Starr burned any Elite bridges yet?
AxB
Jordan Devlin's not on the AEW radar because he works for NXT-UK. Starr to AEW could happen, but seems unlikely.
LoneWolf&Subs
I don’t see much in Jordan Devlin, at all. His wrestling isn’t anything special, his promos are generic, and he looks like a prelim guy. Noting about him screams can’t miss.
Jiji
Starr constantly speaks highly of Khan and AEW (relatively speaking at least). I don't think it's all that unlikely for him to work AEW and keep most of his independent dates.
HarryArchieGus
This was my first look at Jordan Devlin, thanks above for the info. Whatever of his regular work - this Starr match was spectacular. I'd love to see Starr get a shot. I don't follow his antics regularly, which seem to garner him a somewhat annoying rep, or so it sounds. I've enjoyed the digs I've seen on the E and ROH. Everything I've seen of his promos and in ring has been really strong. Edited November 2, 2019 by HarryArchieGus
AxB
Starr is very open about his Democratic Socialist politics and desire to unionise Pro-Wrestling, and incorporates that into his character work. Even though he's a heel in a lot of places, which serves to undercut his arguments somewhat.
JonnyLaw
Maybe I’ve missed it, but have any matches been announced for this week’s show yet? I enjoyed that they were hyping matches up weeks in advance, so I’d be bummed if that’s not a regular thing.

This looks alright to me. Both Women's matches have my interest. Pac-Trent(?) intrigues me. I think Trent's a bit of a darkhorse. Is he no longer Trent Barretta? I like that name. I know Darby Allin's been working Dark, but I think it's a mistake building him up ,and delivering with the Jericho match, and then not following up on it with main show matches. He seems ready and poised to be one of their early breakout stars. Edited November 3, 2019 by HarryArchieGus
Craig H
Yeah, he's just Trent in AEW. Not sure why he dropped Barretta. I prefer Trent Barretta as his name.

Octopus
Wrestling promoters hate last names. Big Swole! Very excited to see her on tv. This will be the show before Full Gear. So I’m guessing we’ll get promo shenanigans from the Inner Circle & the Elite.
Nice Guy Eddie
The explanation I found on Reddit about Trent's? name. Question mark comes from someone writing on his water bottle "Trent?" not knowing if it was his or not. He thought it was funny and slapped it on his tights when he was a dudebuster. He told the story on AOW, I believe.
