Your most hated wrestler and why?

The flipside of the "your most favorite wrestler thread". Who did you hate and why? And it doesn't have to be rational. I remember when I was a kid I could not stand The Boogie Woogie Man for some reason. Vehemently hated him. Same with Dusty Rhodes but I know why I didn't like him. I was a Horsemen fan so I rooted for Flair to bootfuck him at every turn. Currently, I just can't stand Rusev. I'm just over the foreign heel schtick. What say you?

I agree with you on Hardy. I just never got the appeal of either Hardy Boy. I'd occasionally get a kick out Jeff trying to commit suicide on camera for our entertainment but overall I didn't like either of them.

I've always disliked HHH since his debut in WWE.  Not a bad worker by any stretch, but I never thought he or DX were cool at all.  And I'm only speaking about him as a wrestler, his backstage politics are a whole 'nother issue...

Miz. Hes the poster boy for the absurdity of 50/50 booking. He's always pretty high up the card (ic/ us title level or higher) and everyone has to sell for his non credible looking offense. It brings down anyone in a feud with him.

I understand why he's around because he's a very good promo but no one should be selling for him.

I'm glad they're finally booking him as a complete chicken shit heel. Maybe they finally learned

I loved Matt Hardy V1.

I thought his match with Daniel Bryan was fantastic and he's had other good to great ones so this isn't necessarily a critique on his talent but I fucking hate HHH and have for pretty much his entire career. And not for any lame-o backstage heat or whatever reasons either, I just find him grating. I didn't mind Greenwich snob HHH so much, but every other permutation has bugged the crap outta me. Obnoxious fun loving DX heel, obnoxious fun loving DX face, Aryan superman, dude with all the stroke, all of them. Just doesn't work for me.

I also think it's funny how hard the WWE machine tries to put him in the same box as Austin, Rock, HBK, Hogan and - like it or not - Cena when he's not. He's just not. He's a notch below no matter how many titles he wins or how many favorable outcomes go his way. His reactions weren't very organic and were usually the result of them pushing him down everyone's throat.

Thirding the thoughts on HHH. It's only been since the Authority stuff started that I can say I don't feel irritated when he's on my TV.

Fourthing that right here. Not a fan of Mr. Levesque.

Fifth on the HHH loathing.

Also The Miz and Randy Orton. I have never been or will never be interested in anything they do. They are change the channel material for me.

There are a ton of indy guys who have been considered good at various points that I just thought were the drizzling shits. Michael Elgin is the current one, but prior to him, Roderick Strong and Chris Daniels have held the dubious honor.

Strangely the only person in WWE that gets a "hate" reaction from me is Mojo Rawley. I cannot stand that dude.

It's pretty easily CM Punk right now and I will leave the man himself out of it. From everything I've read on here and elsewhere he's an asshole but that doesn't really bother me. I dislike CM Punk as a wrestling character for two reasons. First, I think he's so fucking sloppy in the ring. I expect that from The Miz but not from a guy who is supposed to be the BEST IN THE WORLD.. which brings me to reason two. His fans are terrible. I don't think there's a wrestler in the history of wrestling who is more overrated by his fan base. All they do is whine about how he didn't receive this or wasn't handed that and it's all bullshit. He was given every opportunity by WWE and while he did sell a lot of merchandise he didn't move the needle and that's why he's not "the man." That's why he's not main eventing WrestleManias. So then the guy is supposedly "burnt out". I'm not going to debate that, maybe he walked away because of that, maybe he didn't. But it is not WWE's fault that he did. Stop ruining matches by chanting his name. Stop chanting at AJ. Nobody cares that you know she is with Punk. Everyone knows. Shut the fuck up about it.

Currently is Sandow by a gigantic margin. Christ I hate his look, his work, his moveset, his selling, his promos, his current gimmick, and his faux intellectual gimmick he used to have.

I've been watching a lot of mid-'90s WWF lately, and I could probably go without seeing any Doink matches for awhile. I don't legitimately hate him, but it just seems like I see him on SO many more shows than Bret, Shawn, Hall, Nash, 123 Kid, 'Taker, Bigelow etc.

It's good to know that the FSW gimmick is passed down from generation to generation, like the Phantom.

I'd say the hate for HHH is more gimmicky. It's like people don't even remember why they are supposed to hate him, they just do because their parents did..

Growing up it was always Hogan.  I was born in '81 and just about the perfect age for Hulkamania and I couldn't stand anything about it.  I pretty much hated all good guys back then, though, and was a huge Flair mark (I was also really into Cobra Commander and Skeletor).  I thought the WWF was corny and dug Macho Man and the Sheik but little else.  I probably hated Hogan on through the NWO and finally came around to him with his amazing run on Smackdown with the Edge tag team and the Mr. America thing.

By then, though, I'd moved on to hating HHH for every smarky reason people hated HHH around that time.

But no one's ever just pissed me off to look at like Orton.  I hated Evolution from day one because they were the HHH faction that never lost, because Orton and Batista looked corny as fuck, and because those motherfuckers did NOT deserve a Motorhead song or Ric goddamn Flair.  See, I'm getting heated just thinking about it.  I couldn't stand how douchey Orton looked with the tattoos, the haircut, the Zoolander-type model physique.  Yet the announcers were shoving it down our throats that he had the "look."  No he didn't.  Then he started crawling around all rapey in the ring.  To this day, I don't enjoy even his "best" matches because his ring mannerisms are so terrible and distracting.  And look, Cowboy Bob was cool back in the day, but it really undermined their Hall of Fame thing when they resorted into putting guys in just so they could give their kid a bigger push.  And what puts it over the top is that his mic work is so boring that he's not able to make me hate him for the right reasons and watch to see him get his ass kicked.  I was so happy when Cena took his spot, and he was a big reason I eventually quit watching weekly for nearly a decade and quit watching entirely for four years.

These days, I don't mind HHH's Authority stuff, and I absolutely love watching all the 80s WWF stuff I can get my hands on.  I've got a lot more appreciation for the Hulkster, even if I'm in the hipster "only watch his Japanese matches" camp.

Guys I've casually hated over the years include Konnan, X-Pac, Goldberg, and this one guy they were pushing really hard on Tough Enough that was a big blond dude with small teeth that I just remember calling "Baby Teeth".

But these days I stay positive and just ignore the stuff I don't like instead of getting worked up by it.

I've recently come to the realization that I cannot stand Colt Cabana.  He wrestles like he is the funniest guy in the room but never seems to be the butt of the joke.  So whenever something funny happens, its never at his expense.  He always comes off as the smart one as everyone else bounces off the character and gets made to look the fool.   Whereas someone like Ebessen gives some and gets some, Cabana just seems to take.  He always looks so satisfied with himself.  It annoys me to no end.

Never like Randy Orton. He looks more like a porn star than a wrestler, and he just bores me. I was always a Bret fan, so I was never in HBK nearly as much as everyone else. Finally, Dustin Rhodes has always bored the hell out of me. As himself in WCW? He could make a 1993 Rude match dull. Golddust? never cared for the gimmick, and still the match did nothing for me. Active hate? No,  but more like, if their on the tv or a dvd, its skip it time. . . .

Ignoring the backstage stuff, I can't say I've ever found anything Kevin Nash did interesting. He's always been pretty much the epitome of "wrestling cool," where the character is at least 7-8 years behind what mainstream audiences would define as cool, but he, the announcers, and even his opponents always insist that he's unbelievably cool. Plus he's got an awful powerbomb and the "Snake Eyes" is near the top of my list of least favorite moves. Also, the backstage stuff.

Hey, I agreed with everything you said about Punk, the ones of us who hate HHH, gave pretty good reasons why.
