THEmanWITHnoNAME Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 The shortened week is really going to mess up my watching. What do I need to see from this show past the Rhodes match? Maybe Rowan and Harper versus the Usos...but even that wasn't all that special outside of a couple moments. Everything else is pretty much skippable.
Big Rob Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I thought Wyatts vs Usos was easily the best match on the show, six man that you already mentioned was fine too. I liked Rey/Del Rio too but it's not exactly a must see.
Andrew POE! Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I lost my shit while Kofi was holding onto Orton's leg and their slapfest outside the ring. It just seemed PERFECT for the Benny Hill theme.
Go2Sleep Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Yeah, Wyatts/Usos is definitely worth a watch. Probably won't end up on MOTYC lists or anything, but it was different and solidly in the "fun" category. Show/Brock showdown has Brock Lesnar in it, so automatic must-see there. Can't remember if Bryan/Bray promos were before or after the 6-man, but it was pretty good work from both guys. Orton/Cena segment is a must-watch if you like wrestlecrap moments. If not, you can pass on it.
ebbie Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 The shortened week is really going to mess up my watching. What do I need to see from this show past the Rhodes match? Tho, I thought Tamina stole the segment.
Bustronaut Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Man, Bad News Barrett only works in online applications. That's the best BnB segment since it got called up to Raw
Cristobal Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Oh come on. I agree the first few "your city is awful" BnBs were a bit weak, but the charity drive, the New Year's Bad News, and the Legends teardown have all been fantastic.
ebbie Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Everything would be fixed if they let him drive his scissor lift around with a mega-phone glued to his mouth ala Capt. Thaddeus Harris. Or if they would keep his lines short and tells him to stop making that weird voice. I think Wade has way more potential to be the next big star for the company more than anyone else on the roster, but lengthy promos about nothing has never helped anyone.
Matt D Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Oh man, Steph's massive grin when Batista's music hit when she'd been glowering a moment before is probably the best thing she's done in six months. Look at them teeth.

PuroresuFan Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 She was probably still gloating over making him look like a eunuch on national television.
Gonzalez Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 RAW's first hour featuring the return Batista was a 5.249, and was one of the highest rated hours since RAW 1000. You hear that? That's the hope of Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania shattering into little pieces.
Territorial Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Anyone else laugh when Orton jumped into the passenger seat of a car which immediately drove away, and the announcers (prob. Cole, don't quite remember) went on that "OMG! Orton stole a car". Okkkkayyyyy..... Door unlocked, Orton in passenger seat, someone else obviously putting car in drive and pulling away from curb. Looks more like an accomplice, not grand theft auto. Wonder if they'll follow up on who was driving, or if it's one of those things we're just not supposed to notice. My money is on Ted DiBiase Jr. Or Mr. Kennedy, trying to get his job back. Or, in a swerve, John Cena Sr. (hey, at least one Cena would finally turn heel).
Gonzalez Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 He might have threatened to RKO his/her kids if he/she/transgender didn't drive.
Zakk_Sabbath Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 That's the hope of Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania shattering into little pieces. Otherwise known as "August through December"
Patrick B. Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I gave up hope a long time ago. It's all numbness now.
Casey Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 That's all fine and good if Batista got some big numbers, but the real question is did he make those same fans stick around for the entire show?
Curt McGirt Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 No. Bryan did. Bray even knew it pulling the (possible) audible during the Wyatts/Usos tag to talk about him and get the crowd back into it, even though by all rights they should have loved how incredibly stiff it was.
Curt McGirt Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I have no idea why Orton and staircases have such a love affair. It's like he really, really likes Sullivan/Benoit and always brings it up as an idea.

Still great, but if he somehow pulled the latter they should have just given the whole company to him.
Casey Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 The show averaged 4.86 million viewers for all three hours but the big surprise comes from the hourly breakdown, which went as follows: Hour one: 5.25 millionHour two: 5.00 millionHour three: 4.36 million Man, it pains me to be Gonzalez and do the ratings shit, but there ya go. It's from Cagesideseats, for what it's worth.
IHFP Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 That's 5.25 million viewers not a 5.2 rating, I don't know what the actual rating is but I think its under 4. Still impressive.
Hagan Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Big hyped return gets big ratings. I'm not gonna argue that Batista shouldn't be in the main event going forward, the issue here is the rapidly floundering Orton. I've been a huge Orton booster, but this run is dying and, worse, he clearly knows it's dying and he's unmotivated. That lacksadaisacal shit at the end of Raw was proof positive of that.
