twiztor
what's the general consensus on Madusa? i've only seen her US stuff, but loved her WWF run in '94-95. Felt she was completely underused during her '96-97 WCW run (the women popped up once every 3 months for a match or two then disappeared altogether again). maybe it was just the other girls they brought in to wrestle with her, but i always felt her matches added to the program. thoughts? cool arrow
I can't believe that's a real movie...of course I'm still getting over discovering there's a movie called "Parnormal WHACKtivity" on Netflix right now. Shouldn't that be the title of a porno?

sabremike
Does anyone have house show lineups for upcoming WWE live events? Am going to shows in Newark and MSG and I've only seen Cena-Orton and Real Americans vs. Rhodes Brothers confirmed for MSG and haven't seen any lineup for Newark. Wish I was getting Bryan, Punk and Shield tour but I can live with Cesario and Swagger vs Rhodes Brothers because that should be great.

Victator
Were any of you guys here reading WCW Magazine near the end of its life? They used to have a feature called "Uncensored" that was a pretty amazing sitdown one-on-one interview with a guy that's as close to being a shoot as it possibly can. I went through and transcribed the entirety of Sting's interview and was pretty surprised at the stuff that was discussed: "Q: When you were pitted against Vampiro during the New Blood vs Millionaires Club angle, there were some who suggested the two of you didn’t work well together. Your thoughts? I have nothing personal against Vampiro. He and I have talked about it and I’ve been straight up with him. I told him there just wasn’t chemistry there. It wasn’t his fault, it wasn’t my fault; I’m not pointing the finger at anybody. For whatever reason, it just didn’t work. I tried everything I could do — we did videos and vignettes. At the end, I finally said, if the bookers or writers are trying to make a new Sting, sensing that Sting has lost his drive or whatever, and they want to capitalize on another painted face around here and they want to make Vampiro that guy, then fine. But let him go off and do his thing by himself. He probably stands a better chance without me involved. Originally, they had Vampiro as a babyface aligned with me, and I think that would have been good if they had continued that storyline. That story could have been something that people could sink their teeth into. Instead, he was slapped up on me, just as Kidman was slapped up onto Hogan, and so on. They wanted to make stars overnight, I guess. But you had guys with very high “Q” ratings and guys with very low “Q” ratings. They were trying to give guys the rub and bring them up, but what happens is that it brings the guys on top down.” The entire interview with Sting is on my site and is too lengthy to post here -- real neat to read since Sting is a seemingly private individual. Other guys that were interviewed were Vince Russo, Goldberg, Bret Hart (AFTER his career ending injuries), and even Buff Bagwell. I'll need to get around to getting all of these online... Thank you for posting this. I know it can be a hassle scanning things and want you to know it is appreciated.
Victator
See, now, I thought their cell match ed awful. I've been leaning toward the idea Cell matches are not conductive to good matches. Which is why so many guys resorted to stunts.

Reed
I watched Daffney's Highspots shoot. She didn't seem all there. I don't mean drugs or anything, at least I hope not, but she almost came off almost like a shell of a person. I felt the same when I listened to the Diva Dirt interview and she kept breaking down and crying every five minutes. Kinda sad.

I do get good feedback, so I know I have an audience that digs it. As long as that exists, I'll keep on scanning stuff like this in.

One of my fondest WCW memories was her against some fat sexist. Mainly because I watched it when my friend's grandmother. My friend refused to give a shit about the show, but her grandmother wanted to order the PPV but didn't want to watch it alone. So, I volunteered. The visual of an 79 year old black woman jumping out of a rocking chair to yell "THAT FAT BASTARD CHEATED! THAT HONKY! I OUTTA WHOOP HIS ASS MYSELF!" while her dog, a couple of kids under the age of 10, and the cat stared at her in shock was worth it. Those are moments I miss in wrestling. That is why in 2013, I still rave about the Wade Barrett Nexus. My own grandmother had a similar reaction to Wade antagonizing Cena. I miss it and I miss her.

Triple H versus Kevin Nash at Bad Blood 2003 in the HIAC is actually one of my favorite matches. And it has no right to be, since I don't really enjoy either guy's work. But holy fuck, I loved that match when I first saw it, and I still do. This is the same PPV that had Flair/HBK and a Jericho/Goldberg match on the undercard. Pete
I just found out my trainer at my new job is married to Black Bart. I tempted to ask him about the Desperados gimmick. Ask her if he uses "dadgum" all the time in real life. Supposedly Bart had a side gig working as a nuclear power plant technician in his Global days. Enjoy that visual. jstout
Yeah, I realize Undertaker did more than just the one match, but how cool would it be to work a total of about two weeks a year at your job and be done for the year? "Well, see you guys next year."

This reminds me of my grandma, who is from the south and probably had ingrained social reasons for Harlem Heat being her favorite wrestlers to watch because "they're just two big, bad black dudes that take care of business." This also will explain why I may seem irrationally high on Booker T or Harlem Heat if they ever come up in conversation in the future. I'm a fan from watching WCWSN with my grandma. She is the best. ebbie
My grandma was a Native American from Oklahoma. Watching her shout "PUNCH HIM JOHN! JOHN WAYNE WOULDN'T DEAL WITH HIS SHIT!" made me a wrestling fan again. The Shield, Rhodes, and the other arseholes can have billion star matches every night show, but until one of them makes me think some old woman is sitting around yelling at her TV in rage, I won't be too interested tbh
