  1. I don't think this would fit in the toilet.

  2. I was there last night, sitting in front of the guy who started the "What" chant at Mickie. He was everything I hate in a wrestling fan and I had to deal with his dumb chant attempts and stupid talking points all night long. He was so excited about Mickie, but started the What chant. When the promo was over (and I could hear almost none of it because of the chants) he said "I don't care. I love Mickie and will cheer for her no matter what. Even if she's heel". He was just chanting to chant. He kept saying how "I started that chant" or screaming real loud to say "Yo, I bet you could hear THAT on TV." His whole point was just to be able to hear himself when he watched the show. He had no idea 205Live was aired right after SD and somehow thought that it was an extended break before SD came back on for the advertised Cena/AJ main event dark match, like somehow SD would go off the air for 45 minutes and come back just for that match. He eventually figured it out, but it took a good 20 minutes before he accepted SD wasn't coming back on. He was talking shit all through 205Live about how nobody cares, but totally bought in to the "hometown" Toledo guy Brian Kendrick faced. He was yelling about how Cedric sucks and then laughing saying "Man, this is why I love Toledo. Toledo just don't care." He was taking about how boring the Neville/Cedric match was, and then in the final stretch said "Yeah, but this is a pretty good match, though". He was utterly convinced that Undertaker was coming out at some point all night long because "That's just how Shane likes top run things". All the way up through the end of the dark main event, he thought Taker was coming out. I've been to a lot of live wrestling, and I think this dude was the most obnoxious fan I've ever sat near in my life. Really took a lot of the enjoyment out of the night for me. But other than that, Y'know, it was a pretty fun show to be at.

  3. I had a post typed up but something happened so I'll just say quickly on the Cena/AJ stuff. I think a lot of what is going on is that Cena doesn't want to acknowledge the SummerSlam loss or he has excuses for it and he doesn't want to acknowledge that AJ was a big deal in Japan. So that's why you see Cena saying things like "what? the indies?" when talking about how he was built for the big moments but never says "Japan" and never brings up SummerSlam. AJ, in his promos, always brings up SummerSlam. JBL brings up SummerSlam. JBL brings up Japan. AJ brings up Japan. It's just Cena who I guess maybe is trying to convince himself that none of that happened or trying to get under AJ's skin by not acknowledging all his has accomplished. I think the writing has been good enough to show that Cena is being a little delusional. Maybe he really doesn't believe he can beat AJ on Sunday. Now, if AJ DOES lose on Sunday and he's pushed down into the midcard for Mania... I'll agree that it will be a HUGE waste. AJ deserves to be in a main event match at WM this year. Period.

  4. For those of you who have signatures off or view this place through your phone, I run a site called WCW Worldwide. I've just started to offer free downloads of old NWA/WCW Magazines on there in both ZIP and CBR files. Just something I figured this place would appreciate.

  6. Kinda like how Hulk Hogan was a babyface, but in retrospect if you rewatch his run you realize Bobby Heenan was completely right about him and was a damn prophet and saw him joining the NWO 10 years in advance.

  9. I was SUPER pissed after Goldberg won. Raven had JUST won the damn belt. At 12, I unleashed a string of profanity that'd make Shane Douglas cringe. So bad in fact, my friend's mom wouldn't let me watch wrestling there anymore. Good times. In all honesty, this has to be Goldberg's (in my opinion) best match, right? I know the DDP match was good, but this was great. I'll attribute 100% of it to Raven, obviously, but it was a great title change where nothing shitty happened.

  14. Mickie's delivery was perfectly fine in explaining her motive (and she was great during the follow up on Talking Smack) the crowd were assholes. Smackdown is a 2 hour show and we have 3 women's feuds going forward, all of which I'm enjoying. Nattie/Nikki is the biggest blood feud in the fed right now.

  20. Username checks out. I love Cena more than most here, but Cena not even acknowledging AJ by name when his job was to hype his match is poor match building. He could have still clowned him to start, but It would have taken him 10 seconds to say, "All fun and games aside, i've got a tough match against one of my fiercest rivals, AJ Styles on Sunday". If Cena is just wrestling some guy from Atlanta, who cares if you beat some nobody John? You're only as good as your opponent.

  22. I love Goldberg vs. Steiner until the end with all the Russo fuckery. It was two huge fucks tossing each other all over the place. Great stuff.

  23. This. If AJ doesn't get a main then i dont know will i even make the effort to watch WM, him being near the top of that card freshens things up a bit.

  25. They wouldn't have Angle as a surprise entrant and have him go on to face AJ Styles....would they?

  26. No comment. Though I am more amazed at the fact that you know a lot of the lyrics to current themes. You're lucky I'm unable to post that soundclip you sent me on PSN of you singing "Shiny Happy People".

  27. What, being held upside down and then gently placed down on your back? Seriously, Kane couldn't have protected her any more if he'd put her on a bed of pillows and made the donations to the Trump Foundation himself.

  28. For those who don't follow the Lucha general thread, the Hardys were also both down in Tijuana on Saturday wrestling for Konnan's new promotion The Crash where they won the vacant tag titles over Juvi and Super Crazy. Apparently the story is that they have been teleporting around the country and the world wrestling places. Yep.

  29. This may have been posted elsewhere and probably has better camera angles and less goofy repeated clickbait youtube posting video, but Cornette and Matt for a minute or two. I hadn't seen it before at least:

  30. I think (and hope) based on the way that last night went that AJ beats Cena again clean and Cena has to question his actions over the last few weeks leading to him "getting his mind right" for Mania. Or AJ nutshots him for a DQ to steal Cenas dream of tying the record leading to him either winning the belt at EC or WM.

  32. I think I am just tired of the "because I'm Cena, that's why" nature of this title shot gimmick because it is some bullshit that HHH would pull. It just feels beneath a guy like Cena to take this route to the championship..

  33. Finally watched it. Cena's a media savvy guy who's bigging himself up a bit, but AJ's a really tiny, petty man. If Cena's the heel in your eyes, I can't imagine what AJ looks like to you. As usual, Cena is given too much shit. People beg for characters who aren't just black and white and then don't know how to react when confronted with one. And god forbid we suggest nuance where Cena is trying to hype himself up after his shitty 2016. Yeah, their characterization of Cena is far from perfect. But as usual, I'm not seeing the outrage.

  35. I really didn't expect this to turn out any other way. I was not surprised and I am curious to see where the angle goes with Bray and Orton who is sentimentally attached to tiny trunks and refuses to dress like a proper doomsday cultist. Mickie is awesome. I cannot wait for the Single White Female angle to develop where Mickie dyes her hair flame red and starts wearing steampunk goggles to the ring like Becky does. And I sing with the choir. I have no idea how Cena gets to be the heel in this feud with AJ. I am praying for Cena's murder via Avalanche Styles Clash in the title match.

  37. I hope AJ having his balls cut off and being treated as an afterthought tonight means he's going to retain the title somehow. Otherwise, that was a brutal burial.
