"Let's See Where this Goes" has been a calling card for about 2 years now, and so far where it goes is "to shit"4 points

I heard about that a couple weeks ago on WZ Radio. If they do a TV ad, it'd better be in a horse and carriage.3 points

If you add up the total number of hours they wasted on Bray Wyatt promos the last two years to have it lead to this...2 points

That sound you hear is Jim Cornette's head exploding. We'd be lucky if Jim Cornette's head exploded.2 points

two gaming moments accomplished this week. 1: beat Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii. took around 40 hours and almost exactly one month. fun game. it doesn't seem to be anybody's favorite, but i really liked the art style and the characters. 2: completed my US Virtual Boy collection. i know it's only 14 games, but i still think it's cool to have them all.2 points

Scott Bowden tweeted this out: Buddy Landel, Nikki Sixx and Vanity. I'm sure they were having milk and cookies after this was taken.2 points

One theory is that partly why Maul is one of the highlights of the prequels is that he literally only had three or four lines. Therefore, he wasn't ruined by Lucas' dialogue.2 points

Well, it's that time of year again. The time I get ready to audition for an upcoming show at the local dinner theatre. This year I'll be trying out for Marcellus Washburn in "The Music Man." Everyone in this house is gonna be sick of hearing "Shipoopi" sung constantly for the next couple of weeks.2 points

Charisma...it's this thing she has none of. In-ring experience or not, she's as magnetic as a glass of skim milk. She's pretty...make her a valet. I have no problem with her making money that way but she is NOT a wrestler.1 point

Who is mad about Reigns winning? He's a good wrestler and at least puts on very good matches.1 point
-
Reality is, even though this show was pretty damn good for the most part (I enjoyed the vast majority of the matches), it still felt like a random Raw, it still is leading in a direction I have no interest in what so ever, and it still is leading to only one guy getting over, and he's still not actually getting over. There is still plenty to complain about here.1 point

Also, can we stop pretending the Wyatt's are anything but dead in the water at this point?1 point

What was the New Day segment aiming for? To turn them face? Then they probably should have actually hit someone at the end.1 point

That should end any of kind of silly notion that the Wyatt's are a threat or well protected.1 point

I don't think Samson is cool enough to pull off country music star Double J.1 point

Yes. Company wide they have people getting reactions that don't match up with what they are trying to accomplish. They are getting the exact reaction they are going for in this case. It's sort of refreshing.1 point

InVicta 5 Smith vs. Kaufman was my 2nd favorite fight of the night. Leslie Smith has been really great in these 1st five InVicta shows. Cyborg mauled her opponent. Porto vs. Honchak was good but could have been better. Waterson vs. Penne was my favorite fight of the night. Waterson pulled off a great escape in the 3rd round and a sweet quick armbar to win the Atomweight Title.1 point

Watched Speedball Mike Bailey vs Sami Callihan from CZW Seventeen. Bailey has to be in this thing, such a fun wrestler.1 point

I don't see who else it could be besides The Rock. Austin and Goldberg are done and not coming back and bringing it up is one of the deader horses beaten on here. Angle isn't going to get cleared. Sting is most likely done and after the two matches he did have, I can't imagine who would think it would be a good idea to trot him out again. Batista? Maybe Pete Rose is going to get revenge for being chokeslamed by Taker's brother all these years?1 point

I'd mark the fuck out for Taker vs Shane O'Mac. Huge fan of Shane as a worker. Dude did some insane shit. Him vs Angle is the most reckless match ive ever seen and I mean that in the best way ever.1 point

With that win over Barajas, Marlon Moraes is now one fight away from the end of his WSOF contract. Thank Jeebus.1 point

Saw an interesting sight today. Going to dinner with my family- wife in the passenger seat and my two kids in the back seat 4 and 2yrs old. Pulled up to an intersection and was the first car at a red light. Across the intersection from me were three cars in the straight lane at their red light. The second car was a newer model Camaro and the third was a lifted newer model F150. The guy in the F150 leans out of his window and screams something at the Camaro guy angrily and the Camaro driver replies with a flip of the bird. Big truck guy slings his door open and storms out towards the Camaro. This guy is quite large. If I had to guess I'd say somewhere around 6'3"-6'5" and 275-300lbs. Camaro guy was already rolling his window up and Big truck guy tries to open his door while screaming at the guy and then hauls off and punches the hell out of the window. Somehow the window doesn't break- probably lucky that it wasn't rolled all the way up- and when it doesn't break he grabs the top of the window with his hands and starts yanking the window out back and forth trying to break it off like a damn gorilla pulling on a cage door. He tries again to open the door at the handle and steps back for a split second and two guys come up from behind and try to pull him back and the Camaro guy opens the door at this point. At about that time I got a green arrow to turn so I start turning and honking my horn at the guy. I keep turning and on the side street to the left happened to be two cop cars. My honking apparently got their attention and they put on the lights and went over there. The restaurant I was going to was pretty much right there on the left and I had to circle around a bit to find a parking spot and saw they had the guy on the ground. So what did I learn? Those fucking Camaro's have some sick ass side windows!1 point

I;m excited that this happened, in a way that I cannot fully articulate, but in a way that, appropriately, probably only a pro wrestling fan can understand. and yes, I realize that sentence reads like Lisa Turtle's autobiography and i dont even give a little bit of a shit1 point

I like the Batmobile a lot more now that I can choose when to drive it and cruise Gotham in the 89 Batmobile. The game is also significantly improved with the Season of Infamy. The DLC feed was frustrating but it adds a lot of fun by the end.1 point

last time I tried to bring up how lame rock is I got yelled at despite not actually being wrong, so, uh, here's a few bullet points that are on my mind on the subject right now *dance-proofing (prog, metal) *rock is music for advertisements now, like jazz became when rock exploded *deciding there is a line between the masses and the educated few is literally the opposite of rock and roll *lamenting the kids for not liking music the way it was in your day is the thing that made all your rock stars mad enough to make their great albums *the sequestering of the instruments/sound of rock from the amateurism spirit of the blues is what killed imagination for new frontiers in guitar music *the misunderstanding of blues as groans and scales exacerbated this problem tremendously *the conflation of provocation with volume/"distortion" *the societal displacement of white men as the human unit through which all culture passes is what causes rock to feel so irrelevant/ignored -white male life has been explored in such detail that there are fewer and fewer things to say about it that are worth saying --the mental effort and resources it takes to create a "concept album" is untranslatable to the public ---YOU HAVE. TO MEET. THE AUDIENCE. WHERE THEY ARE. that's what Bowie did and you're not too good for that. I could go on about this forever. I bet I could write a new reason rock is dying every day for about a year without repeating myself. instead I'll wait for the topic "what's killing rock music and what can I do to help" because I am ready for something new. EDIT: Oh, and the "slam dunk boy I showed him lol" you're looking for is "but you made four rock albums, wrote a fifth, and have two more in writing. you are a hypocrite." To which I'd say "I feel trapped by things I didn't understand well enough when I started writing songs, and I am desperately trying to shake them in the ways I feel I still can." which is more of an excuse than a counterpoint.1 point
