Craig H
I miss Dean's, I think it was him anyway, love of Tegan and Sara. Tegan and Sara are still awesome. We were going to see them again until all of the quarantine shit happened.
Curt McGirt
Of the DVDVR music references at the end of issues I'm most ashamed of sitting on Roxy Music, especially when I had local friends into them, but never checked them out for whatever reason until years later. At least I heard "Orgasm Addict" in a record store as a teenager (probably buying a Big Black CD) so already knew that the Buzzcocks were awesome by the time I got around to hearing Singles Going Steady. Infinit
I remember there was a really cool detailed thread on lucha history, I think it was authored by @ohtani's jacket? Was it on this board or was it lost on the nuked board?

I legit lost it after this as some fan tries to jump Tracy from behind and security stops him and then another shirtless fan tries to do the same and he get stopped. There's also the clip of a fan stepping in the ring during a Cash Flo entrance at the House of Hardcore and Cash Flo attacking him and then the locker room emptying out to attack the guy while kicking him out if the venue. IWA-MS was really the sleaziest of the sleaziest indys.

I've known her since her training days. Not a fan of her in ring but her new heel character is working well and I congratulated her and wished her success. You have to wonder though if Tony Khan reads the board and saw the negative comments and made the change. Could we be responsible for the change? #bethechange 3

There's also a cage match with Bull Pain, Tarek the Great, Sabu, Ian Rotten, etc. and Tracy goes bonkers in it, too. He's punching fools in the face, throwing chairs, pushing and shoving security and fans. It's great. I began following IWA-MS in 2004 when it got hot with all the big indy names. I had seen the big Hero and Punk matches before then, but that was it. This pre 2004 stuff is great, though. That IWA-MS ring is embarrassing. Maybe the grossest ring in wrestling history. 2001-2005 is Gold, They did the heel ref thing a bit too long but outside of that the shows were great. 2002 and 2003 TPI's are amazing shows. AJ-Daniels from 02 is one of my favorites. I believe that was also the show Ian didn't pay Daniels and it pissed off AJ as he vouched for Ian to Chris. I have IWTV but it seems that show ain't on there (yet?), dammit. if you have Highspots on demand it's on there. Between Highspots and IWTV you get ALL the good IWA-MS shit. Which is amazing to me because some of the VHS tapes I'd traded for in the day were shit quality.

I'm not a total expert on the discography, but there's driving motion in Juju, pretty much throughout the album, that I don't find in a lot of the other albums. It's a piece of the chemistry that just isn't there so much elsewhere. You get a lot of the other elements, but not that, and without it, I may like some things, but not the way I love Juju as a whole and spend a good chunk of my Octobers every year listening to it in the background while working. Curt McGirt
My Siouxsie jam was Join Hands; I need to get ahold of those albums again since I erased a lot of stuff trying to clean up my computer. And speaking of goth repped on the Driver: Red Lorry Yellow Lorry! (IIRC) Getting into The Gun Club was more influenced by reading We Got the Neutron Bomb (oral history of LA punk) but I heard them named in the Driver first too. Along with Ernest Tubb, Son House... jaedmc
17 hours ago, elizium said: I have the absolute dumbest favourite board memory: Somehow the topic of clothing came up in the wrestling thread and one guy piped up, saying that when he was 21 he threw out all his t-shirts, jeans, etc. and replaced them with polo shirts and khaki pants because it was time to "dress like an adult." I have literally thought about that statement at least once a week for, it must be, 8 years now. I did a search and couldn't find it, so it must have been from one of the older versions of the board. I often wonder what happened to him, maybe he's a Proud Boy now? I REMEMBER THIS FUCKING MOMENT. I DIED. I remember it because it happened around the time that one dude...Resident Evil? would make these ridiculous posts and always end them with "Gotta go for now, off to the gym." But he'd keep posting for hours. Each post ending with similar "Gotta run". 15 hours ago, RIPPA said: It’s bugging me now that I am spacing on all the details but the all time best post around here was someone telling the story about how their grandfather pulled a Red Foxx and faked a heart attack because he wasn’t getting enough attention Shit I am going to have to search for that post tomorrow This I also remember. One of the funniest memories I have was waiting in line at a store and this guy was looking at his phone, rattling off a list of wrestling names to his buddy. And after like ten names I realized he was reading off the first ever March Madness brackets that I'd posted the day or two before. 3

It’s way better than the Grey Dog forums, which is the “official” home of talk about Ryland’s games now (used to be EWB before TEW came out). I used to be there a lot back in the day, but I kinda stopped playing EWR once my then-new girlfriend got one of the older WWE 2K games for free on Xbox and reintroduced me to them. I hadn't played since SVR 05 so all this Universe Mode stuff kind of scratches that itch. 16 hours ago, paintedbynumbers said: Joel Gertner called my friend on his birthday and spoke with him for 30 plus mins. $500 for a 2 min shout out is absurd. No parent is spending $500 on their kid for that, no adult would be feeling that bad that they would say "gee, I feel like shit, I'm going to pay $500 for a shout out from Roman Reigns" I mean it's absolutely outrageous!!!! I went to a lot of signings as a kid and I remember some of the non-WWF sponsored ones were pretty outrageously priced, especially for back then, but even then at least you could shake hands and get a poloroid. $500 for a dude to just be like "Hey buddy happy birthday from the big dog" simultaneously seems like an extension of that but also kinda absurd.
