RIPPA Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I totally forgot until looking for an image for this month that the PWI year in review was always the March issue So I found the cover that always made me laugh Everyone else in their wrestling gear. Madusa in an insanely tiny bikini for 1988
Hoarr Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Runner Up of the Year: Chris Jericho - WCW Magazine Reader Awards [1998] The real reason Jericho left for the WWF. 4

Tromatagon Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Okay everyone just ignore that Hogan is wearing the fist helmet, why don't you 2
cwoy2j Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Okay everyone just ignore that Hogan is wearing the fist helmet, why don't you Or Lawler with a giant crown. Or a guy named Macho Man in a ridiculous bandana. Or Sting in tassles. Everything about that cover screams PRO WRESTLING.
Michael Sweetser Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Hell, Luger and Kerry's gear is probably barely more material than Madusa's bikini.
ChesterCopperpot Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Seeing as it's St. Paddy's Day this month 2
mco543 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I'm not sure who looks worse and more awkward in a suit; Brock or Cena.
odessasteps Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Brock looks like the muscle for a dfepression era gangster 8
E.J. Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Brock looks like the muscle for a dfepression era gangster He looks like Nelson Van Alden from Boardwalk Empire at age 60.
madsplash Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 He should wear the suit next time he's on Raw. You know, he's there with Heyman, Roman comes out and they're doing the dueling promo thing until Reigns crosses the line then Paul proclaims "that's it! Get em Knuckles!" And of course he replies Daaah OK boss! 3
Pete Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Brock looks like the muscle for a dfepression era gangsterHe looks like Nelson Van Alden from Boardwalk Empire at age 60.I was thinking Schlitz's salesman of the year, 1964. 7
The Great ML Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 At least Brock's fits him. Cena always looks like he nabbed it from his older brother's closet for a Career Day presentation.
cool arrow Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Spoilered for size. TNA! TN... uh, I mean ROH! ROH! 1
Zakk_Sabbath Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Wow, that looks intense. Is that FMW? I started watching last year after getting some recommendations here, but I fell off once The Network came out, because clearly FMW takes a backseat to watching universally panned In Your Houses from 1995.
cool arrow Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Yeah, that was FMW. Onita & Goto were wrestling Sabu & The Sheik in a fire match, but the fire got out of control after a few minutes and they all had to bail out of the ring. I think Sheik got burned pretty badly.

I remember seeing those pics in one of the wrestling magazines way back then. To this day even watching the video it amazes me no one died.
cool arrow Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Especially since Farhat was well into his sixties at the time and couldn't have outrun a glacier.

I remembered seeing that pic and reading about the match in a magazine, then years later got a comp tape with that match on it. Here's the full thing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbhHGOT5WC8 Speaking of absurd fire matches from that era-
