bink_winkleman
Does anyone else have a lot of trouble downloading this show? I can almost never get the entire thing to show up on a USB or my iPod. I don't use iTunes, so I just download them directly via RSS. With AOW, I have to go directly to the site and it still usually doesn't work. 20-40 minutes of the show will pop up. It's a real pain in the ass. I don't have this problem with any other podcast. Technico Support
Hmm. I know it takes a long ass time to download and I've accidentally closed Firefox while downloading in, causing a truncated show. Aside from that, I haven't had that problem. odessasteps
Seems like there have been tech issues for last few months. I remember the JR pod was loaded twice.

It's a real pain in the ass. I don't have this problem with any other podcast. I used to have trouble all the time downloading the entire episode (it would give me 30-45 minutes and then quit.) I don't know how fast your internet is, but once I upgraded mine to a faster speed, I never had that problem again. I don't know if it's a server issue on his end or what, but it seemed like you had x amount of time to get the podcast, and if you didn't get it by then, it would cut you off. Dewar
I would have issues with getting half episodes when I was trying to download five or six at a time. Once I let the first one finish before attempting the next download, it was fine.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0
That Shane Douglas interview was way too short. So much more to talk about.
Rev Ray
As someone who's not a fan of Shane, this interview was very fun, and yeah, there's still a lot of milage they could probably cover. That said, was Shane sick or did he blow out his voice like Stephanie did?
bink_winkleman
Thanks for all the feedback. I think if it's just taking several minutes, where other podcasts are nearly instantaneous with my 25mbps.
mysterious_w
Any chance someone can put the last podcast with cliff on a file upload site, because I've been trying to download it for over a week without success. Cheers.

Justin877
I was wondering if it was any good since Cliff Compton is a 3 time 3 time 3 time guest! I don't count the intros/cameos. I am sticking with EPs 18-59-

TimLivingston
Welp, Colt got the CM Punk interview. It's up now. Tough to download at this point because EVERYONE is trying to download it. Listening now, there will be a part two next week.
Greggulator
Punk seems like a lot of guys who are creative artists dealing with a corporate world. The more success he had, the more headaches that came along with it. It sounds like a lot of comics who say they were at their happiest doing open mics and bar shows for $10 a pop and dreamed of Hollywood but, once there, the money was good but the headaches of network suits and the like made it short lived.
Cobra Commander
summary of matters Part 2 with e-mail questions next week. Notes some positive results from his departure. Punk wanted to have sponsors on his shorts, and they turned it down. Then Brock did it. Punk wanted to escort Chael Sonnen to the Octagon, and they didn't let him do it Punk wants to do movies but they keep giving his roles to other guys. Then when they gave him 12 Rounds II, he hedged because they filmed during a European tour. "Pro Wrestling was awesome when it was me and you (...) going down to Ian's (...) pissing in a community bucket" Punk thinks he should have made 10s of millions. Punk thinks the WWE's concussion tests are bullshit Punk talks about wanting to have a 3-way with Rock/Cena, or face Undertaker at WM29 for the title. Punk got cleared to wrestle without talking to a doctor (because a WWE doc called James Andrews) Some Nexus guy poked Punk in the eyes post-laser eye surgery during the Nexus debut "It seemed like there wasn't a place for me in the WWE" said the guy who was WWE champ for 434 days. Bagging on Writers. Lack of long term planning, except for Cena. Punk didn't want to turn heel on Rock. If Punk didn't turn heel, he drops the title to Daniel Bryan. Punk suggested losing his WM29 main event quick to just be in the main event. The Shield was CM Punk's idea. He declined being paired with Big Show, Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins. His first Shield idea was Rollins, Ambrose and Chris Hero. Then they stole the Shield idea from CM Punk. Working with Ryback took 20 years off of Punk's life. Vince booked Punk with Ryback 2-3 weeks after Punk had a surgery. "Explain to me how losing to a 45yo man who wrestles once a year is gonna make me the hottest heel" He didn't wanna re-watch Punk/Taker despite Vince's insistence. Punk is mad that he missed the final Stanley Cup game to return to the WWE. Punk doesn't think that Rollins/Ambrose have a philosophy like his. Ranting about losing to part-timers. Mad about losing to Brock at Summerslam Mad about working with Ryback. Wanted to work with Curtis Axel. Ryback hurt Punk again. He thought Ryback did it on purpose. He went to Europe post-concussion Punk shit his pants on the air on Smackdown due to antibiotics. He blocked the WWE Twitter too. Complaints about pay and WM Pay. Wanted Taker/Brock/HHH/Rock/Cena money for WM29. Cites buyrates. Punk had a lump on his back. A "fatty deposit". Benoit used to pop zits. Doc didn't wanna remove deposit. It was on the back of the waistband of his tights. Rusev was scared of Punk at RR14. His first idea was stomping Punk. Kofi gave Punk a concussion at RR14. He was really mad the night after RR14. Retelling of his meeting with Vince/HHH post-RR14. Resents losing to HHH at NOC in 2011. Hugged Vince, who had tears in his eyes. Visited AJ's Patrick Bateman-looking Doctor. Turns out that fatty deposit was a staph infection/MRSA. Whoops. Turns out Punk should have died from that. Punk was suspended for 2 months by Vince post-walkout. Vince called it a sabbatical. Punk doesn't get his royalty check. Found an uncashed royalty check. Found an uncashed $10K check at Harley Race's check once. Called Tom about his check. Nobody talks to him to send him royalties. People butt-dialing CM Punk from the office. Triple H texted Punk in June. 2 days before his wedding. He demanded royalties. Punk got fired on his wedding day. He was found in breach of contract, which he says can't be done retroactively. UFC is in his no-compete. Called a lawyer. Got a settlement from the WWE for everything he wanted (including those 2 royalty checks!). Got a video game check too. No non-disparagement clause. "There's no working relationship and there never will be again" Speaks about being illegally listed as an independent contractor and mentions a union. Punk's writing comic books now. He didn't quit, he got fired. After he quit showing up. Not talking to guys with agendas. Talked about not taking picture with a guy at intermission at a Blackhawks game because the guy was rude. He paid for a guy's pancakes once. Holy fuck... the WWE comes off badly. And CM Punk comes off really badly too despite being in the right on some things. For the talk about not being bitter or doing a shoot, he did a bitter shoot.
TimLivingston
He was going to come off bitter about stuff, but like he said at the start, it's okay to be bitter about stuff. He knew he was going to come off that way. Especially considering, you know, they had him wrestling for three months with a fucking staph infection. I don't care that he came off as bitter. With all that shit that happened, if you weren't bitter, I'd be the guy telling you that you have a personality disorder of some kind.

It's like saying you aren't making excuses but. Podcasts are the new shoots. Also gonna think that if the mail is a bit late or early, then he doesn't get fired on his wedding day. He had his paranoid narcissistic moments with stuff like that and thinking Ryback hurt him intentionally. If he really didn't expect to be held in breach during the Paycheck thing, I don't know what to tell him.
goc
He had a set number of dates on his contract and he'd already gone over that number of dates. He'd already fulfilled his contractual obligations, which is probably why you'll notice he says he won the settlement and he got everything he wanted + some.
TimLivingston
So then what's your point? Why does it matter that he did a shoot? And are you really trying to say it's not a bullshit thing to do to send him his walking papers ON HIS WEDDING DAY? The royalty check was five months late, man. Gimme a break. Cobra Commander
did he mention going over the amount of dates he was contracted to work in the interview and I didn't notice it? Or are we going off of various reports on the matter? Because when he got to the breach part, he just said he can't be held in breach post-facto like they tried to do. Obviously he had enough of a case and enough of a threat on the IC matter to make them settle. Anybody who isn't obviously outside of the statute of limitations is gonna get a settlement of they're legitimately threatening the basis of WWE contracts. The whole wedding day thing. In the context of his entire thing, it does come off as being a bit paranoid. What, did Triple H text him 2 days pre-wedding to get the ball rolling on getting him fired on that exact day? It comes off as being a bit narcissistic or paranoid that the WWE picked that exact day and the mail didn't fuck over their plan to fire Punk on that exact day. It's all about CM Punk in many ways. Punk wants this and that. Punk wants a WM check exactly the same as The Rock for WM29. Punk wants movies but only within his schedule. And you could kinda see why people working with him would kinda grow tired of his shit. He's not the first person to deal with shit exactly like what he had with ideas and pushes, and the world does not revolve around CM Punk. He does have some good points about the whole shitty infrastructure of the WWE medical situation. But it would be reasonable to just assume that you're watching people taking years off of their lives any time you're watching the WWE or the NFL. Short of states forcing actual independent doctors on the WWE, I guess the only solution is public shaming of WWE personnel for their approach to injuries. I have no problem with that concept. Also its nice all of this can come out without someone having to pay a certain video company that shall remain nameless.

Cristobal
If Punk's recollection is accurate, HHH asked to speak to him two days before the wedding, and he got his termination papers the day of. Means it got from Stamford to Chicago second-day IF they sent it the day HHH asked to speak to him. Means they didn't stick it in an manila folder and drop it in the outgoing.
