Callis isn't going to just let Ospreay quit, we will be coming back to that. Maybe Don is bringing in Ricochet? We were having the same conversation in my house when we watched Collision on Monday, and both had the thought of MJF squadding up with the Callis guys to kinda kill two birds with one stone 1

What would be interesting, however, is if they did let the women have Stadium Stampede this year and had team Mercedes + Stat vs team Britt and Willow. I like the idea of having some of these gimmick match alternate by gender is an idea that WWE would be good to use instead of a men's and women's MITB/EC/Wargames (have Royal Rumble be two nights) 1

JLowe Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Skye Blue is not shy with a blade or a street fight, find room for her one of those teams…although it appears she’s been relegated back to ROH. 1

ExcellenceofAirPollution Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 According to Meltzer Flair and Wooo Energy are both done with AEW. He said the sponsorship "fell through". I wondered how they ever had the money for it in the first place. Felt pretty low rent all around. Apparently no stores outside a few small regional chains actually carried it, it was really expensive to order online, and it looked fucking disgusting. Tony would be drinking Monster or whatever when he's got the can in front of him on the desk. Where does this rank amongst shitty food/beverage related wrestling sponsorships? It's certainly no SURGE As for Flair I never liked bringing him in in the first place. He's got so much baggage and I would feel sad and uncomfortable every time he showed up dating back to his many post-TNA WWE returns. Hopefully Flair doesn't start grabbing headlines by shitting on AEW 4 2

Hopefully Flair doesn't start grabbing headlines by shitting on AEW I’m sure deep down TK is a Flair mark regardless of how much of a train wreck he is but the only reason it made sense for him to even bring him in is because of Sting. Sting is retired now so there wasn’t really any reason to use him anymore. 4
Kevin Wilson Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 I mean I have no inside sources but my personal theory is TK gave Woooo a "sweetheart" deal because Sting really wanted Flair as part of his retirement run. Once Sting retired, TK had no need for Flair so either he ended the deal or asked for more money as part of it and Woooo Energy couldn't afford it. I didn't love Flair in AEW either but it clearly was at Sting's request and he rarely was on TV. But I didn't expect to see him again once Sting retired so this news isn't surprising to me. 4

No, other way around - Woooo paid AEW to put Ric Flair on TV. Per Tony Khan: Quote “We’re not paying Ric Flair; Ric Flair is essentially paying us,” Khan said. “We’re getting paid by Wooooo Energy for all of his appearances, so we’re collecting revenue from them.” 1

I don't think that contradicts what Kevin said, though. I should perhaps let him speak for himself, but my understanding was that the "sweetheart deal" meant that AEW charged Woooo a lot less than they normally would to promote Woooo's product on AEW's shows, specifically because Sting wanted Flair around. 1

Curt McGirt Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 You gotta wonder how Upholstery Man stays afloat at all, with the alimonies and end of his professional career. He should be a wino on the street by now.
Technico Support Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 As @ExcellenceofAirPollution said, Woooo sounds fucking vile. Has anyone tried it? It’s apparently made from mushrooms or something? Jesus that sounds nasty. . I’m a Ghost Energy man, myself. Monster in a pinch.
JLowe Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 I mean I think all energy drinks are vile. But I also drink black coffee (usually Guatemalan origin) thst most people think is brewed on the weaker side so maybe I’m not a good judge. 3
Curt McGirt Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Does anyone kind of have an imperviousness to caffeine around here? I'll drink those white-can sugarfree Monsters once in awhile, or a Red Bull, or coffee in the morning (and I think Cafe Bustelo is supposed to be pretty strong), but I can do that and just fall asleep if I want.
Matt D Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Neat that Willow won the CMLL Title. Hopefully she gets to defend it during the Texas residency. 1
odessasteps Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 I used to be able to drink soda andg9 right to sleep. But I stopped drinking soda in 1999 or so. Don’t drink coffee.

That's my wife, she can drink two coffees and then lay down for a nap. If I have coffee after 1pm I won't fall asleep until 3am. 2
