In what should’ve been done many, many, many moons ago—will turn 43 in April—I’m finally moving out of my parents house; just received word I got approved for an apartment I’d been eyeing for months.4 points

Getting back to "they don't know why Austin and Rock worked" I think it's at least partially true. They don't get that Rock could get away with horrible, stupid lines because Dwayne Johnson might literally be the most charismatic man on Earth. So they give guys who simply aren't The Rock similar lines and it bombs (and now sanitized versions of those lines) They get that Austin was the rebel fighting his boss, but they don't get that AUSTIN ALWAYS WON. Okay, not actually always, but way more often than not. When the heels got heat on him, it worked because it didn't happen every week3 points

They could go backyard style and just have the crowd be the rest of the locker room3 points

Hopefully we'll get nuclear heat. Still remember Elias and Kevin Owens: Want to bring up Kevin Owens spinning on the stool as Elias strummed and the look Elias gives after THAT line.3 points

As a Falcons fan, my pettiness level is off the charts right now. Kyle Shanahan's tears give me life. And Nick Bosa crying over not getting to meet his hero in the White House is just gravy...3 points

I disagree, brother. Pivoting to Shida is the way to go even if Riho were better than her by a bit because she's there every week. Riho is a good underdog who has a solid connection with the crowd. Shida isn't that but I think she's more capable and able to do a wider variety of matches.2 points

I know this will come as an "OK boomer" comment but there needs to be a rule where you have to celebrate within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage. The team turnover celebrations don't necessarily bother me it is the running 60 yards down the ring to go near the end zone that pisses me off2 points

Riho has been absolutely great every time she's been in their ring, so I might actually watch Dark for once2 points

Since you probably don't watch much Puerto Rican wrestling aside from the 80's set, here's some goods: Carlos Colón isn't afraid to bleed and the Texas Hangmen which you should all love. Not exactly Onita & Goto vs. Kurisu & Dragon Master, but a heated brawl in Puerto Rico feat. more Texas Hangmen. You know neither of these folks are afraid to bleed, plus a clever finish. Not a MOTYC or any of that stuff, but it's the Samoan Swat Team in front of a heated Puerto Rican crowd against 2 big fan favorites.2 points

The bigger problem right now with the "how do you rebuild Roman Reigns" thing is that WWE, like any other wrestling promotion, doesn't truly realize the ultimate issue to save the wrestling product flies in the face of every entertainment business manifesto: Sometimes, you just have to let someone walk away. Whether it's an excursion, whether it's firing them, letting them show up in some other promotion and get fans excited about them, then see what happens later, whether it's "how can the fans miss you if you won't go away? So...uh...GO AWAY!", or even if it's "you're a failed experiment, we2 points

They'll never get Reigns right because they don't know what made Austin or The Rock work. I doubt we see significant change until Vince passes away. He won't walk away. He guided WWE to its height but now can't maintain it. I suppose there's a certain Shakespearean quality to that but that's entertainment.2 points

I'm not sure if it was mentioned anywhere on commentary, but I'm guessing Hybrid2 were wearing AAA La Parka tribute gear this week.2 points

Them thinking Seth could be one of the biggest stars is one of their problems. Especially when they had Dean Ambrose under contract. The selection process for "top guy" is completely flawed. They've got Big E doing comedy for the fifth year in a row when he might be the most charismatic guy in the company. The New Day is great, but every one of those guys could be doing more. Someone mentioned Ziggler. That guy should be a HUGE star, instead of going through the motions whenever a top heel needs a lackey. Zack Ryder was never gonna be Hulk Hogan, but there's no reason he couldn't be prime Tito2 points

I think one of the biggest mistakes was not going with Roman winning at Wrestlemania 31. The one long term plan they had they abandon at the last second. Relying on older stars to promote shows in lieu of younger guys. No one is special. Hell, not numbering Wrestlemania reportedly because Vince feels it makes it sound old. Meanwhile other sports stake their prestige on the history behind everything.2 points

A good match is a good match. See the death match thread. If I like Chamber of Horrors when I watch it I’ll be proud to like it. Raven vs The Pitbulls Terry Funk and Stevie Richards vs Cactus Jack and Raven That whole series of events from Starrcade 91 involving Abdullah the Butcher that spanned over a few matches Wow I better be careful before I give away how much fun Abdullah the Butcher in WCW was for that 1 year2 points

To me, their biggest issue is that there are just too many people having a say backstage. When there is an entire team of writers they are all going to want to get there stuff on TV, crowd reactions and natural progression be damned. Look at the points on something as simple as Cesaro with Heyman. - Cesaro turns his back on Swagger/Dutch because he sees what Heyman has done for Brock and believes he should be at that level. - We get Swagger v Cesaro for a month or two before Swagger gets some back up. - Brock returns (at Heyman's request) and we get Cesaro/Lesnar v Swa2 points
