  1. I want to wish the NDVDR family a Merry Christmas and all the best for a New Year bringing with it a new decade. Love the community we have here, Paul xxx.

  2. My favorite moment of the show was during the Charlotte/Chelsea match, Jerry starts in one of his interminable series of "I'm so horny for all these broads" stories, and Joe mercilessly steamrolling him TWICE in the middle of it. Lawler sounded so defeated when he ended the story. It was glorious.

  3. They should just go full overkill mode and put Bray’s mask on his knee pads, gloves and boots and just about anywhere they can squeeze it in. On a different note “Crying Vince McMahon” was not something I expected to happen so often in his older days-

  5. We do Xmas Eve presents with my two teens from a previous marriage, and my son has had some depression issues these last few years and couldn't come up with a list. He loves his PS4 though so I took a gamble and got a VR bundle. Opened it and set it up and he fucking loves it, so I'm a happy dad! Also while it's seriously an awesome piece of technology, I don't know how much of it I can handle at my 38 years of age! Tried Wipeout Remastered and HOLY SHIT it was too much, got dizzy pretty damn quick. Incredibly impressive, though.

  6. I made an attempt to watch this show, but right there was Jerry Stupid Lawler. Jerry Stupid Lawler...

  7. Gotta pad out the numbers for that weird claim that Cody is feuding with 15 people.

  10. It's sad that WWE (and John Cena) has trained wrestling fans to not think that babyfaces would all be friends with each other.

  11. I am so done with his Cero Miedo horseshit. Get out there and throw bombs, do the cool shit I am so aware of you being able to do and let's limit the taunt to a pre or post-match deal. He is on it like I am whenever I play Dan Hibiki. Fucking taunt taunt taunt. I could do without him peeling his glove like a banana to throw the taunt as well. Not only did I not hate it, I was actively on board for it. All the folks really up in arms about it being wrong in tone and with the wrong guys going over the big babys in the company seems like hyperbole. Not that they can't hate it, but a lot of shit in today's world seems like you have to be all the way in for something, or all the way against it. A lot of what I have read about people's thoughts on it seem like because it wasn't their cup of tea, they have to spew as much venom as they can at it instead of just being like, "Eh, wasn't for me, and I think they went the wrong way." My bolded part of your quote is the only real beef I had with it.

  12. Look at Tim Storm sneaking in in late-December with a Babyface Promo of the Year candidate. That was absolutely amazing.

  16. I thought it was a good idea but was missing something. Either the Dark Order use newly recruited Beaver Boys to destroy a midcard tag team like Private Party (PP beat Beaver Boys but lose to Dark Order proper), or they have a bigger surprise member (Page or Marty) if they're taking out The Elite. As is, a jobber team was part of the big angle that saw the entirety of The Elite and Dustin destroyed by Jon Silver and Alex Reynolds. I have long defended the Dark Order/SSB in-ring work but thought the packaging needed a face lift. They got it in the form of the cult of losers. Still wish the putty patrol had better gear but I'm on board.

  17. Cody has a lot going on, but the only reason he's connected to people like Wardlow, Butcher & The Blade is because of MJF. He's not feuding with the Inner Circle or Shawn Spears, so it's really just him involved with one person who is putting multiple roadblocks in Cody's way to getting his hands on him. Too early to tell on the Dark Order stuff, but I chalk up people like Omega, Cody, Dustin, etc. running in for the save to help the Young Bucks as just friends trying to help their friends. I think the program going forward will be Dark Order vs The Young Bucks, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone really given how much the Bucks talked them up in the first few months of 2019.

  18. I think it's more than fair to say the face/heel dynamic is more blurred than it should be, and Lucha Bros aren't the only example. The crowd booing the heels would certainly be helpful. That being said, @Robert, if you want people to read your opinions, take them seriously, and discuss them, it would go over a lot better if you refrained from calling people children, crazies, and idiots. People are sensitive enough about AEW criticism as it is.

  19. The canned heat during this show was embarrassingly noticeable.

  20. I guess I missed where Cody didn't stop feuding with the Inner Circle after Full Gear and transitioned into feuding with MJF. Silly me, I guess I really am an idiot and a child! I mean, it's not like Jericho hasn't moved onto a two week feud with Jungle Boy, and his current program is Jon Moxley. Nah, of course, Cody and Jericho are still feuding even though they've barely had any interaction since Full Gear. Fuck outta here. EDIT: Oh, gotta love the defending of a lucha guy, too. Penta is a face? I guess we're just forgetting that the Lucha Bros sneak attacked SCU during the tag title tournament, which caused Daniels to be out of action and that's why Scorpio Sky had to take his place. But, yeah, totally. I'm an AEW crazy fan because I actually remember past shows.

  22. I'm kind of digging the Liv videos. The 24/7 stuff with Tozawa and Truth was fun. Charlotte/Chelsea was a nice little showcase for Green. Aside from Charlotte/Chelsea and the last half of Rey/Seth I honestly didn't pay a super amount of attention to the matches tonight. I did like what I saw of OC vs. Orton/Raiders and Owens/Rawley. Loved Joe on commentary tonight. Really dug how he was getting more and more pissed off about Rollins and AOP as the night went on. Made the ending all the better when he stood up to them. Its a damn shame Joe came in so late after so much wear and tear. Even with it I kind of still want him to get a cup of coffee as champ

  23. Joe got signed 5 -10 years to late, everyone here knows it but his talking skills is top level. He's the only person that can talk people into wanting to see a match. Even when he's given the shittiest angles. I hope he won Vince over through his Commentary so we can get Brock pass out to Joe.

  24. I noticed a thinning spot on the back of my head the last time I got my haircut. I'm not ready for losing hair yet. I was blessed with a nice, thick head of curly brown hair. My father isn't completely bald, but he does have a large bald spot on the back of his head. I know guys I went to high school with who were completely bald in their 20's. As for important life issues, I'm still looking for a job after being unceremoniously dumped by the last company I was with. The depression has been up and down. Some days, I'm barely able to drag myself out of bed, but I still do. There haven't been any days I've just slept through. My psychiatrist also put me on a medication to help curb the cocaine cravings I had been having. Hopefully, I hear something on the job front after the new year. I'm going to try to enjoy Christmas Eve with the Greek side of the family and Christmas Day with the Italian side. I got my Bullet Club Christmas sweater just in time, so I'll have pictures in that and my ELP-like LED glasses. Things aren't as good as they could be, but they could be a whole lot worse. Happy holidays and best wishes to my big, twisted DVDVR family. Let's make this year the best Festivus ever!

  25. I didn't see most of the show but I just saw the end. A pissed off Joe coming for Seth and the AOP is something I need to see. Pronto.

  26. It fucking sucks that we're never going to see Niebla do his stupid catch-his-own-spit punch thing that was so over again. Or fall off the apron. No one was better at falling off the apron than that guy.

  27. What terrible news. Niebla was a fantastic tecnico in the first half of his career as la tecnica elastica, then became an incredible rudo with ridiculous charisma and shtick before his demons claimed him more and more often. 46 is way too soon to go for a guy with his talent. QEPD.

  32. That's the first time I watched SNL from start to finish in a long, long time. Excellent work by everyone involved. You could really tell the writers brought their A games. Oh, and it's being reported that the Cosby bit from the monologue was originally supposed to be done during the 40th Anniversary special but got nixed at the last second by Lorne. Additionally, a rep for Cosby (lol), has called Eddie Murphy a "Stepin Fetchit" and "Hollywood slave" as a reply. This is a reminder that Bill Cosby violently sexually assaulted many, many women and will probably die in prison.
