  2. How I imagine the conversation went: "Luke.... how would you like to be the 3rd member of THE VIKING EXPERIENCE?!" "I officially request my release"

  3. I may have oversimplified for dramatic effect, as Gibson is one of the best heels in the whole company (and I clearly wasn't referring to the women). But come on, you're going to tell me these dudes don't all have a similar look? They all look like they're about to go open for Mumford & Sons on tour or something.

  5. Trying to kayfabe up the Shakeup to make it make sense: First off, you had free agency hit with the free agent signings agreeing to terms. Smackdown makes its FA signings: Lars Sullivan, Heavy Machinery, and Kevin Owens. Raw makes its FA signings: Ricochet, Aleister Black, EC3, Lacey Evans, and Sami Zayn. Due to all the recent promotions making it hard to have a full draft, there was a modified NXT/205 Live draft, where both brands got to draft one person or team from the NXT and 205 Live roster. SD drafted Kairi Sane and Buddy Murphy. Raw drafted The Viking Experience and Cedric Alexander. The TRADES (made as fairest trade possible is the kayfabe trade): Big one: Smackdown trades AJ Styles to Raw for Roman Reigns. After Shane McMahon's hatred of him, he wanted The Miz off SD ASAP, and took a slightly smaller trade than he could have gotten in the form of Mickie James and Elias when Stephanie lowballed him. Raw traded IC Champion Finn Balor, but it cost Smackdown big- Rey Mysterio, Andrade, and Zelina Vega were the big cost for this move. Smackdown screwed over Raw in turn when they asked for The Usos, as Smackdown demanded a huge cost- Bayley, Liv Morgan, and Chad Gable- in the process splitting up three of Raw's tag teams. And in two smaller moves, Smackdown traded Naomi for Ember Moon, then Raw traded Apollo Crews for Eric Young.

  8. Those of you doubting Wolfe should go back and watch the match where they won those belts against AoP. I thought he was the star of the match. It's on Takeover Brooklyn III.

  9. Not only that, but why would she have any confidence in anything they say going forward? They started an entirely new division, made her and her best friend the champions, sent them around to every show saying they'd be defending those titles against every worthy challenger, then gave the belts to a comedy act, broke up her and her best friend and put them on different shows. At what point do you just completely lose trust that these people have any idea what to do with you and your career?

  10. Dammit, D. Z., I thought of this today and was waiting to post it. WWE still has a week to get them coordinated acid green and black lycra Viking bodywear, tweak their names to Exciting Erik and Irresistible Ivar, give them a wimpy manager with a rich (via her fjords full of longships) mama's boy manager (Jofur?) who carries a monogrammed battleaxe to the ring, and get Gorgio Moroder to write a synth'n'war-drums entrance theme. book it, RAF

  13. I was thinking Killian Dain would fit right into the Viking Experience, then I got to thinking how many guys they have that look like potential Vikings at the moment -War Raiders, Sarah Logan, Killian Dain, Rowan, Brawn, Lars Sullivan, Aleister Black. I want to see a gigantic Viking nwo loot and pillage their way through the company.

  14. The hand-wringing over Roman is without merit. He's been back two months and has had three matches, two of which were 6-man tags. He's clearly getting back into ring shape. He's not going to be the one to dethrone Kofi. And he was moved from Raw so his presence wouldn't interfere with Rollins' title run. There wasn't much left for him to do on Raw. He's fought and beat the top three heels in Corbin/Lashley/McIntyre. Surprised one of them didn't go to SDL, but this will allow for Reigns to have new or fresher matches. He'll probably fight Orton or Elias for his first blue-brand feud. Roman was always going to be on SDL with the FOX deal, anyway. So move him now where there isn't as much pressure for him to wrestle every week to help fill a third hour. He'll eventually become champ, but not right this second.

  16. Here's the reality of the situation as I see it. There's a ton of talented people in WWE and they cannot push all of them at once. It is my contention that some people should be the top guys in the place and they need to be the most protected. As much as everyone got on the Kofi Kingston bandwagon, not every midcarder should be elevated to the top of the company at some point or it isn't special anymore. Not everyone should have multiple title reigns and not everyone who does not has not wasted their career. I have much fonder memories of guys who never won titles in the 80s then guys like Dolph or Johnny Lastname who held belt after belt after belt. The world needs Bushwackers and part of the reason you have acts like them is so your midcard isn't a boring "my turn for a push" slush. Could WWE being doing more with INSERT NAME HERE (INH)? Sure. But your INH and my INH and Vince's INH are different and they all can't be the focus all the time.

  19. Fan of the concept but the show itself for all the interesting match ups most of them were too short and didn't live up to the hype. Also, Muta at 0 points is no bueno.

  27. The biggest reason why things seem so stale all the time in WWE is because they do such a piss poor job of utilising their huge and talented roster. Instead of running the same matches between the same combination of guys year round, why not cycle some new guys in, even if it's just for extended squashes? You forget half these guys are even employeed, and with the amount of content they have to put out, that's unforgiveable for me.

  28. It could also just be Vince being Vince. This is the same guy that let Seth start using the curb stomp again all because Seth was lucky enough to catch Vince in a good mood when he suggested it. Vince loves breaking people down to see if they can withstand it and I'm sure Vince thinks he's ultimately made that person better, but that's only if Vince doesn't lose interest along the way, at which point it just turns into someone getting buried.

  29. It's one thing to find out you're losing the titles the day of. But the double whammy of that plus finding this out just can't have been good for Sasha's ego. As fragile as it may seem if she found this out all at once then I don't blame her if this is the last straw. It does explain though why they were a mess not only post-match when they're shown outside but later on. Not only did she lose the title but also her best friend and I can see how Sasha would struggle with that.

  31. Okay - actual news (this is all from the radio show this morning). Some of this is not "new" news - Sasha and Bayley were told they were splitting up at the same time they were told they were losing the titles. (It was unclear if Bayley already knew she was moving to SDL or just that they breaking up the team) - Sasha has been given a couple of weeks to decide what she wants to do. As of now - she is booked for the PPV (one would assume that they had her as being in the MITB match) - She is scheduled to stay on RAW
