  1. Cass sounds like a 7th grader who watched nothing but Edge promos and is trying to mimic what he's heard. God he's so awful.

  2. Very sad news about Big Bully Busick. Thanks to his look, he quickly became one of my favorites when he debuted in the WWF. I was happy to see him show up in GWF after he left the WWF. He was actually nice enough to accept me as a facebook friend. Yes, I know it's facebook, but it still meant a lot to me. Since then, I had a few conversations with him in the past couple years. I won't claim to know Big Bully Busick and he could have just shrugged me off as another mark, but for whatever reason, he liked things I wrote enough to take the time to write back. I'm always going to remember that.

  9. the match is on youtube i believe. Both guys got color also. I was the commisioner working face at the time. The ring announcer didn't show so they had me doing double duty that night (actually triple, i did commentary for the DVD also). At the start of the show Bully suggested I start out with the pledge to the flag. He wanted Von Schmitt to come out attack and slam me. What actually happened was I got slammed (ripped part of my suit which pissed of my wife) and Bully made the save right in time to say "and justice for all" It worked perfectly. The match itself was a wild brawl around the building.

  13. I agree with all of this. There was something about that episode that made me want to turn it off. I don't understand the Donald Glover taking over for Kanye West talking point like we don't live in a world where they can coexist. Not only can they coexist, I don't think they are remotely trying to do the same things. It is like saying that Aaron Rogers took over for Tom Brady in 2011. Sure, Aaron Rogers just won a Super Bowl, and is a great quarterback, that doesn't mean that Tom Brady's career is over and can't ever win again. Donald Glover's success doesn't mean anything at all for the career of Kanye West. There is not a Donald Glover/Kanye West binary choice. You can like one of them, both of them, or neither of them and it has nothing to do with what the other one is or isn't doing. That shit was just strange to me.

  14. If it's bugging you, go back and get them adjusted. I recently got a new pair of glasses that were leaving marks on the tops of my ears and actually hurt to wear by the end of each day. They tried adjusting them, didn't help, and they ended up letting me pick a new pair. Some frames just don't work with some heads.

  17. It was cool seeing Smackdown for once at the Arena instead of Raw, though was saddened by the low turnout. Upper levels were tarped off and there were empty seats in the lower levels. Despite that I had a pretty good time. Hoping it came across well on TV, but the crowd seemed to be into the good stuff. Hardy/Miz was a pretty good match, dug Charlotte/Peyton and holy sheepshit that Daniel/Rusev match was awesome. But one thing that terribly concerned me is I guess it was during break but Daniel tried a diving headbutt and missed. I was mortified that he'd still try it despite what he's been through and am hoping that gets curtailed ASAP. Still, it was a great match. I was thrilled to see Becky live but dismayed that Mandy beat her clean. I could accept if she held the ropes but unless it was a Dana/Bayley situation a clean win just didn't feel right. And while it shouldn't be that everybody is on the show it seemed like there way too few people. I looked at the selfie promos and was wondering why somebody like Shelton wasn't having a match. And I'd have been cool with Joe at least coming out and doing a promo, but I guess after his Roman match they don't know what to do with him. At least Asuka did a pre-Smackdown match against Sonya that the crowd loved. After 205 Live it was AJ/Nakamura. It wasn't much of a match but the remaining crowd was into it. As soon as Nak hit AJ with a chair people fled for the exits. I chalk it up to them being tired/having to get home, but if they don't stick around then that's not a promising sign for what they're trying to do with this. I've been plenty of Raws and it was never like this.

  18. I mean Bryan has enough cred that he can justifiably challenge the champ whenever. He doesn’t need an MITB for that. Rusev does. Besides, months of Rusev threatening to cash in on Rusev Day skits write themselves.

  19. -It's a weird thing to fixate on, but guys throwing ridiculously high-angle clotheslines, so that their opponent barely has to duck at all, is one of the little things that make a big difference to me (we all have them). Cesaro was really parallel to the mat with his misses, so that put his match with Woods in my good graces early, and it was a lot of fun besides that. Love the flash uppercut finish. -Bryan is Bryan, a savant, but losing to Rusev doesn't tarnish him at all. He was off for a few years; the announcers always shout about ring rust, but it should actually mean something, if we're to believe these are professional athletes performing at the peak of their industry. It's gonna be a while before I can totally invest in a Bryan match without wondering if he's selling or dying--some degree of verisimilitude helps... but it would be better if the circumstances were different--but the arm/wrist work, and how it made their respective submission finishers really combative, was awesome.

  20. after his last match I sat with him and chatted while he was getting his things together. He loved talking about wrestling. He gave me his cell and we kept in touch. He worked as a bouncer part time at a local Dave and Busters type venue and was also promoting MMA for his son. Your post is dead on man to the Bully I know. He never shrugged anyone off and always made time to chat. I loved seeing him beat people with the heart punch in GWF.

  22. He was fun in GWF and yeah his WWF run was a joke but not his fault by any means. He reminds me a lot of Rusev. I think if Busick were coming up today he would have a cult following. I was able to be a part of his final match and it meant and still means the world to me. He had a huge heart and will be missed.
