  1. Complain about Cena being the top guy. Complain about Roman Reigns being the top guy. Cena drops down to a part time schedule. Roman is demoted. Complain about Finn Balor as a top guy. Complain about Seth Rollins as a top guy. Complain that nobody new is being pushed. Ambrose is pushed. Dolph is pushed. Balor is pushed. Rollins is pushed. Complain about both title matches.

  2. Strongly seconded ^^^ But this is not the time nor place. Instead, let us wish a happy birthday to Kid Kash! Also, to... Animal's... brother... Big Johnny... Naw fuck that let us wish a happy birthday to Karl Moffat!

  3. If Maryse were to spray perfume into opponents' eyes so Miz could get the pin, I'd mark out for days.

  4. Miz is one of only a handful of natural heels I've ever seen in wrestling, is one of the few people around now who gets heat wherever he goes and I don't think he really gets his due among fans. I love his current character and truly believe he should be in the main event - the only reason I think his world title run fell flat was because they booked him like any other 50/50 mean-streak ruthless aggression heel whereas he should've been chickenshit and Flair-esque. And as good as it was, he shouldn't have had the programme with Lawler as it did nothing for his rep but alas.

  5. I can see it now: I'm guessing bachelor party. Hmmmm... wwe films presents Rusev, Luke Harper and Ryback in a bachelor party reboot.

  7. Six months in Calgary training with the Hart family, six months training in the All Japan dojo, and a year wrestling Terry Gibbs on house shows, and he didn't put together after all that. It would never have happened under any circumstance.

  8. My biggest issue with the Ambrose-Ziggler match is they've spent over two years giving Ziggy 50/50 booking at best to where a big-time match with him involved means nothing. They should have built him back up for a few weeks before now. They knew they were doing the draft. Finish the Corbin feud quicker, push Corbin toward someone else and get some shine back on Ziggler ASAP. While I may not be totally convinced about the quality of the match (that has more to do with Ambrose than DZ), if they had done that, at least I can say they were trying with this. I don't know if they can do enough to convince most fans to be super-invested in the match with the three weeks they have.

  9. I think Miz is one unique foreign object away from a decent run at the top. (Maybe Maryse can carry a purse with a brick in it? It's been a while since that one's been used.) He's a great heel character but nothing he does in the ring looks dangerous enough for him to beat anybody. Give him a way to knock people out without making him look like a bad ass and he can ride this act for a while.

  13. I was, and it was an awesome experience. First time seeing NXT live and lucky enough to get a ringside ticket. Revention Music Center had a great atmosphere and the event was probably the most fun I've had in years at a show.

  14. Not really into the celebrity couple stuff, but I think I would be genuinely quite sad if The Miz and Maryse ever split in real life. On and off screen, they strike me as two people who have basically found what they are looking for in each other and are pretty compatible. .

  18. New England boy makes it big in in the 90s due to a successful professional partnership with his best friend. However, by the early 2000s he faces critical backlash and public ridicule for appearing in awful, bloated epics, and is soon further mocked because of the woman he's in a relationship with. When all hope is lost that he'll ever be taken seriously again, he moves into a creative role and becomes lauded because of his success at directing others. He still appears as a performer himself, and as such is still party to plenty of ridicule. Triple H or Ben Affleck?

  21. Dory Funk Jr. is like 15 spots above Terry Funk. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't even happen on a top 101 list made by Marti Funk.

  27. This is a patently terrible post because it assumes a DVDVR hive mind. This might sound nuts, but some people here (including me) liked Cena as a top guy and liked Roman as a top guy. It also assumes that these are the only options for top guys. What if you want to see Kevin Owens, top guy or AJ Styles, top guy over any of the four guys you mentioned? Personally, I'd prefer to see Owens, Rusev, Styles, Nak, Joe, and Reigns in top three positions on each show.

  28. I'm not sure if it was a shot at Gunn. If I recall some of the letters to management concerning DeMott, people like Billy and felt he kept things pretty positive, though I haven't listened to any of the developmentally speaking things where most of the talking points seem to be about DeMott.

  30. That would be a super fun crowd, I bet. Are there enough Polish fighters under contract that they could crowd the card with them the way they do with Brazilians? I can only think of Piotr Hallmann, but I don't think he's with the UFC anymore.

  33. It's a little ridiculous how excited I am for Seth Rollins versus Finn Bálor at SummerSlam. I'm really hoping they don't fuck it up and still give the #1 contendership to Reigns somehow. Let him work his way back up the ranks. If he hadn't had THREE title reigns already, I would say he should take the US title from Rusev and defend that for a while, but I'm sure he'll be back in the title picture in a few months. It's only a matter of time before The Club interacts with Finn. Only thing is, I think Finn is one of those guys right now that can't be a heel no matter what. Gallows & Anderson, definitely, but Finn? Nah. So I don't know if it's worth my fantasy booking idea of the Club interfering on Finn's behalf at SummerSlam, screwing Rollins out of the title and turning him face. Either way though, I win, because if that match stays intact, we'll either get another Rollins reign (YES) or Finn will be the champion on the RAW brand (crazy but awesome).

  34. Fuck it, i brought an Xbox One! I've been waiting for that sweet spot where there are enough exclusive titles out, or coming out, and a low enough price point to make it worth while. With the S coming out next week and the download codes in the old FIFA 16 and Quantum Break packages expiring in August the price point of the old style Xbox One has taken a hit. I picked up a 500gig model with Quantum Break, (a backwards compatible 360) Alan Wake, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Assassins Creed Unity for £186. That's a whole lot of content for a very reasonable price.

  38. Why do you keep talking about business? Nothing you've said is relevant. Garvin/Flair matches are awesome to watch, and it doesn't matter how many tickets were sold to see those matches or what a promoter said about the best way to make money in the past. None of that makes Garvin any less a great foil in-ring for Flair in my view. It's a good thing you didn't because that would be a damnable lie. She was first-runner-up. There was only one champion. It's Bayley.

  39. I love that "headlined a WM" talking point. He was in one of the worst WM main events of one of the worst WM. And I get a chuckle out of "I have been watching for 10 years". Wow, 10 whole years! So where would they rank Eric Escobar?
