I cannot imagine a band that is less suited to appear on a professional wrestling broadcast than fucking TRAIN.  Of all the shitty performers WWE has featured in their misguided attempt to draw in mainstream fans, this one takes the cake as the most tone deaf (literally and figuratively) by some distance.  Ugh, just...FUCK OFF.

Train were the only suitable band available. Say Your Prayers are touring in Japan right now, Eat Your Vitamins are on hiatus while the singer's in rehab, and I think Believe in the Power of Hulkamania had a big inter-band fight and broke up. They couldhave booked one or other of the rival acts suing each other over the rights to the Be A Real American name, but I don't think either one has any of the original line-up left in them.

Not for nothing... but if anyone should NOT lose on the Tribute for the Troops, it's Jack Swagger.

What Dolfan said.  How the fuck are you going to put a Russian heel over an American babyface via tap out victory on a Tribute for the Troops show?

Why not just put Swagger over via DQ or have Rusev lose via count out if you don't want him pinned or submitting?

This show was booked wonky.

Swagger should've made Rusev tap out and Ryback should've pinned Owens clean.

WWE has acknowledged that Tribute to the Troops occurs in it's own vacuum and is not part of storyline continuity so there's 0% harm in having heels job cleanly

A real shame- Believe in the Power of Hulkamania may be the only musicians on earth that succeed at making whiter music than Train.

Non-canon WWE is so lame. If the Tribute show is NOT really part of the WWE universe, then why not have some fun with it? Big Show revives the ECW title for one night and challenegs someone to an Extreme Rules match, War Games 4 on 4, an elimination cruiserweight Survivor Series style match, Gimmick Battle Royale II, Ric Flair decides to have one last match for the troops against WWE wishes and to make it special he brings in his son David Flair to be the special guest ref against a mystery opponent*, Usos vs. Jordan/Gable, Samoa Joe vs. Chris Jericho,  Daniel Bryan and Corey Graves handling commentary for the evening, Stardust constantly trying to ruin/stop the show with his hijinx that keep backfiring on him and eventually lands him in trouble with Sgt. Slaughter, etc.

Just something different and wild. Not WWE Raw held at a miliary base. Also bringing in an outside director for these would be best. Every year someone different. Its the one show a year that 'doesn't matter', why not experiment?

* the mystery opponent is Charlotte and in an unsanctioned match pins Flair in a 3 seconds with a roll-up. The Flairs celebrate as they pulled one over on EVERYONE.

Had a thought...isn't this done along side the USO? If so the WWE  might not have had any control over the musical act cause that might have been handled by the USO.

I'd have never pegged Jimmy or Jay as Train fans

This would absolutely be better than anything non nxt related WWE has put on this year.
