Maybe there will be a live suicide on Bischoff's show ala Budd Dwyer.

More likely we’ll get some truly historic goalpost moving.  Probably something along the lines of, “I was beholden to a company and shareholders and had to succeed in that framework, while Khan has free rein to spend daddy’s money indefinitely!”

I'm really hoping Blake Christian gets the Angels treatment. He'll make a lot better on it than Alan 5. I agree with ppl losing their shit over that, but I think there were ppl on the otherside of that debate that could have been a little more generous as well. There was certainly an argument to make why your top star shouldn't go 50/50 with a guy on the lowest rung of the ladder.

Did the people who lost their shit watch the match or just have it described to them? Because my recollection is that the match in question was a master class in making a lower-tier opponent look good without making it look like they're on your level.

absolutely what will happen. my prediction is closer to "more episodes, but nobody's watching"

even if you add up Bischoff's WCW run(s) + his TNA stint, Coach Tony might still have more experience running a major league wrestling promotion. maybe not quite, but i bet it's close. again i'm not doing the math tho.

Looks like it will be the April 16 Dynamite in Boston as #289. they're calling it AEW Spring BreakThru and Tony says they will celebrate becoming the longest running

So, serious question... why would the 6:05 Saturday Night show not count?  Even if you only count it under the WCW banner, that is still from 1992 to 2000... you're looking at around 400 episodes.

Prime Time.  6:05 only ran to 8:05 when it ran 2 hours.  Prime Time is generally considered 8pm-11pm.

Kind of related - Mariah May’s contract is up this year. If TK doesn’t back the Brinks truck up for her then he deserves it when she goes to WWE and gets massively over.

I've a feeling Mariah May leaves for WWE.

And she's already giving interviews glazing WWE and talking up wanting to get her brother a shot there.  Carnies gonna carny.  You could set your watch by them.

To be perfectly fair, her tweet announcing that she's indeed leaving is probably the most gracious and thankful exit comments I've seen whenever someone does leave. If she doesn't wind up back in WWE I could see AEW using her again - maybe not under contract, but brought in for something here or there. Women's wrestling on a mainstream level has just passed her by, nothing wrong with that. She had a hand (in storyline) for the progression of Toni Storm and introducing Harley Cameron beyond those stupid QTV segments, so there's always that.

I’m glad Saraya got to have a proper conclusion to her in-ring career in AEW, and she was a key figure in pushing some major women’s storylines forward, but ultimately Her Wrestling Wasn’t Good Enough to warrant  a second contract in AEW, and I imagine even she recognizes that.

Take that money he's gonna save from Saraya leaving and use it to extend Mariah and Harley Cameron.

I think mina Shirakawa coming to AEW probably bodes well.

I think if you were to name all the AEW World Women's Champions, Saraya might be the one which would trip you up. Honestly, I knew.

From the article with Tokyo Sports

Ever since she was at the top of WWE, she told me, 'Mina can definitely go (overseas)'. Even after the last match, she said to me, 'Mina can compete on the world stage'. Moné's presence played a big role in my decision to go to AEW. I also want to get revenge for my last loss."

I'd be surprised if WWE was interested in Saraya but her run in AEW had run its course. She said it was mutual and I assume her and TK had a nice chat about it but she's right in that there wasn't really a spot for her in AEW anymore. Her mic work isn't great, her in-ring isn't great, and even if she was on the show I don't know what she'd really do with how many women's wrestlers there are in AEW that need the spot more. Losing Rampage didn't help as now there are a number of Rampage "regulars" that are still fighting for time.

She's one of those that probably never would have signed if the Vince/HHH power change happened sooner but unlike some others I don't recall any reports that she was difficult or didn't want to do certain things, she seemed to always do things the right way so if she goes back to WWE more power to her and I hope she does well. Its hard to believe she is only 32 as she started so young, so she still has many years in front of her if she finds a good spot.

Saraya's AEW debut will always be one of my favorite moments and all time best crowd pops.  Glad she got to have her All In moment while she was there.

Saraya never seemed to fit in well or find her groove in AEW. Fans quickly turned on her with the "This is my house!" business, and they had to turn her heel as a result. I'm happy for her that she got to wrestle at Wembley Stadium and win a title, though. That's a great comeback story after overcoming a career-ending injury.

I figured she went there because wwe wouldn’t clear her, like a number of folks with injury issues who went there.
