Last show before Double or Nothing 2. Here's what's on the agenda:

AEW Champion Jon Moxley vs. 10 (who amazingly is not(?) Shawn Spears)

MJF vs Marko Stunt

Orange Cassidy vs Fenix

Sammy Guevara vs Matt Hardy

Arn Anderson & Jake The Snake Roberts Interview

OC-Fenix is the biggest hook for me. Curious about Sammy-Hardy.  Arn and Jake might be a fun segment.  It might also just further the cheap heat chauvinist bullshit.  Hope not.  I'd like to see Mox steamroll and brutalize the masked man before taking some licks from the Brodmeister General.  MJF-Stunt, sure if it's quick.  Any chance we'll see Page and the Bucks this week?  Or some surprises.  My shadow-like prediction is Jim Ross will push passed his awkwardness with the fairer sex.  And will also not bury any traits of the characters which will result in across the board praise.  I just have a Shadow Knows kinda feeling about it.

You can add Britt Baker & Nyla Rose versus Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander, too. It was announced yesterday.

Okay, guys, it’s time to stop letting Brodie Lee talk.  It was a good effort, but it’s not happening.

I loved MJF/Marko and Fenix/OC (until the random WWE distraction finish), but the booking of the show was probably the worst thing they’ve done since the infamous December episodes that forced the soft reset.

The dive train with the ladder match guys was a fucking horror show.  I hope they all learn to catch before Saturday.

There's zero excuse for Sammy Guevara to be dropping falls to the immobile corpse of Matt Hardy. Other than that, pretty good show. Mox at half effort is still the best promo on American wrestling tv, and I don't speak any other languages, otherwise I'd comment on other countries, too.

Arn & Jake was maybe my favorite part though I wish Cody & Archer were on too for final buildup. Womens tag had its moments and I enjoyed the main event. We'll see at the PPV but thus far Brodie Lee still is not doing much for me. Closing brawl was fun with the return of Hangman & the Bucks. Looking forward to the Stampede even if I will always wish we got the original Blood & Guts match. PPV should be another solid card overall, with high hopes for Cody/Archer and the Stampede.

They got a long climb up if they are going to brawl around the Stadium pool at the PPV if they start at the 50 yard line.

Thank you. All I could think of the whole time was "he needs to be the YEAH YEAH YEAH guy again". Dude is as boring as Rollins.

Arn and Jake should have gone over things before just deciding to talk over each other. Heh, the agents needed an agent!

Paid attention to most of MJF/Marko. Marko's deflections into offense were good. MJF is turning into the prick he really needs to be. Also liked Wardlow completely ignoring the run-in and taking his time going through the ropes, the snarky bastard.

I'm one of the biggest AEW supporters on this board, but, man.... that wasn't a very good show. Even the show ending angle kind of fell flat, except for Hangman Page running across the fucking field to clobber Hager in the face.

They have a solid out on this whole Dark Order thing coming up, if they want to take it.  They’ve been playing up how shitty Brodie is to all the creepers.  When he loses to Moxley on Saturday, they can have the creepers bail on him for being a loser just like them.  That feels like a natural end to the story, and they can save face and pretend this year-long storyline wasn’t the failure it was.

Brodie can move on to something that he’s good at, and you can just repackage Uno & Grayson whenever they’re allowed back into the country.

I've been working very hard during these quaran-times. I usually get home from work a little after the girlfriend, somewhere between 8:30 and 9:00, and on Wednesdays as soon as I set foot in the door I'm more or less ordered to make Dynamite happen (I don't have cable, certain hook-ups have to occur).

I usually cheat and peep spoilers - not results so much as match ratings - from Larry Csonka's live recaps. This is the first time since ever I haven't been able to do that. It's something I do at least three out of four weeks and I didn't realize how stark it would feel having that routine changed.

Better episode than it appeared on paper, one of the best in-ring episodes the show's put on this year. Cassidy/Fenix was money, super luchadors vs. Wrestle Factory grads always seem to work, impressed by Fenix's rudo moves and Orange Cassidy bringing the, ahem, fire. Guevara/Hardy was great. The Elite and Inner Circle have this old-school clusterfuck brawl thing figured out.  Since I gotta be critical about something - Brody ain't it on the mic. Great worker, great look, hard ceiling as a big-man workrate henchman. Vince's assumptions are usually correct. This angle isn't crap or anything and I think Moxley/Lee will be a very good match for both guys, but the weekly TV build is getting lost in the shuffle.

I enjoyed the show, especially the main event, which I thought was really good.  As a go-home show, I don't think it got me too excited for anything but the Stampede match but that's a fine match to build around.  Brodie and Mox was okay but not as good as the build-up to Mox/Jericho.  Brodie should have gotten over better the fact that he was sacrificing 10 to Moxley, in his promo.  Schiavone at least directly pointed that out.  I never really expected Brodie to win the belt anyways but I bet they'll both work real hard in the match.

The women's match wasn't great and I hope Britt is okay.  Shida really needs to win especially after getting destroyed with a kendo stick and then beat clean.  Plus, who else is going to beat Nyla?  There are no faces unless you build someone up, plus Shida is real good and can actually work, and will probably pair well with Baker.

Cassidy/Fenix was pretty darn fun but the distraction finish was a little played out despite serving as protection for Orange.  MJF/Marko was pretty fun too.

They already had me for DON but like I said, if I were just tuning in, I'd probably be only excited for the Stampede match but that does have a ton of star power.  Plus, Hangman's dash was insane and he didn't even look blown up.  Take that, Warrior.

Something that’s become clear over the last couple months of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus being stuck on the West Coast is that Marko Stunt is actually, like, really pretty good.  I know some people are never going to be able to get beyond his size, and I guess that’s fine, but he works with his size extremely well.

Fun show.  Solid go home.

Moxley looked good in there killing 10.  Lee seemed a little off tonight.  But not so much so that we need to foolishly pull the plug over it.  It wasn't exactly bad.  The promo Mox delivered later in the show was his most coherent and best in awhile.

MJeff-Stunt was fun.  Stunt has indeed looked really good lately.  He kinda proves they'd be smart to fill out the bottom of their roster with guys who can really take a killing.  Couple that with the ability to make quick and exciting, if brief, comebacks.  Marko's covid run has been valuable for the company  - having made Archer, Lee, Wardlow and Friedman look really good.  Fun stuff.  MJef is starting to string together some good showings as well.

Cassidy-Fenix was a merry good time.  Great start.  Lots to enjoy throughout.  Didn't love that finish.  Also, didn't love seeing Fenix crash to the floor.  Here's hoping he's okay.

Arn-Jake started poorly and was mostly awkward, but they seemed to be figuring it out by the end.  Seems a bit silly not to have Archer and Cody involved in some way.

Kinda half watched the Women's tag.  Some brutal looking moves there.  The superplex looked like it nearly went really bad.  Unfortunately the double suplex spot onto Baker seems to have indeed gone really bad.  I can't imagine the Doctor's not injured after that.  Not sure how well that match set up the Saturday title bout.  Shida, if by formula, should go over on Saturday now, but she looked incredibly weak here and got punked out last week.

Hardy over Gueverra is one of my least favorite finishes in the short history of this company.  I don't generally get too excited over wins and losses , but that would have meant a lot more for Sammy than it did Hardy.  Not the end of the world, but seems like a missed opportunity.  The brawl was mostly whatever.  Liked seeing Hangman run a clothesline down the field, but everything else felt sorta flat.

Dug the Pac promo.  Miss that guy.  Really looking forward to the future Death Triangle killings.  Also, dug the creative Spears promo.  Well executed but not so sure I need to see him battle it out with Dustin.

I'm assuming after the no sell (?) of the Casino Ladder match mystery participant that we might be in store for a reveal like... Jimmy Havoc!  Or.... Luther!   Or Austin! Gunn!

Overall, some solid in ring this week.  A pretty tight show (at least it was on delay with FFwd where necessary).  It made me more interested in the PPV than before.  Tho, if I 'buy in' on Saturday it'll be to support the product rather than the intrigue of any bout.

Yeah they already debuted Lee, Archer and Hardy, and we still have the Revival coming. I’m not expecting anyone new. On the graphic Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and Rey Fenix are the center of attention, think it pretty much comes down to them (I’ll be happy with any of those three winning - will make a solid future dynamite main event).

Agreed. Matt Hardy going over (and having a terrible match in the process) was an awful decision. Felt very much like Mick Foley barely able to walk to the ring in TNA and still be treated as a threat.

People will look back on this in a year or so as probably where Cody's goodwill evaporates. History (largely his father's) tells us that they've deliberately sabotaged Moxleys title reign. Consistently a back seat while you're reminded the Elite's program is the real important stuff.

At this point you can't justify Mox going on last on the PPV.

My goodwill is starting to be stretched as so many guys are all over TV yet going nowhere. Sick of Sammy losing all the time for no reason. Darby constantly coming up short during the big one. I'm really not interested in Shawn Spears. Brodie Lee's stuff relys heavily on goodwill and WWE sentiment...given the lack of substance beyond that, it's super lazy. He now has Xpac heat with me.

They really book the Jurassic Express as dorks. As someone pointed out, Wardlow taking his time to leave the ring. Luchasaurus never initiates physicality with him and comes off lame. Almost seems pointless to protect MJF at this point if they're not going to do anything with him either.

That ladder match is a huge example of a year in, just how many also rans there are on the roster already.
