dogwelder Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 I want them to rename the team to be the Washington Bullets. 3 1
hammerva Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 It would be hilarious if the name is actually the Washington Generals given that they are historically known as the worst "sports franchise" in history. Granted it was a on purpose but still

I'm in a group chat with a bunch of friends and when the senators knelt wearing kente cloth, we were joking back and forth about ridiculous things white people were going to do in the name of solidarity. My friends laughed their asses off when I suggested the NFL would play "Lift Every Voice and Sing," before games. Being that I saw this coming, I'm going to go the Dionne Warwick route and start a psychic hotline. Anyone want to know the future? I'll tell you exactly what you want to know for the low price of $59.99 per minute. 1

He was actually fairly decent when he played for Kansas City (if I’m remembering correctly). The only reason I know they’re cousins is it used to be referenced a lot when Javier was in college.

PetrolCB Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 (edited) Do you think they'd keep Washington or switch to DC if the new name fits better? That could be kind of cool if they did. Edited July 3, 2020 by PetrolCB
odessasteps Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 I can only imagine how the Red Zebra stations are handling this. Hmmm. Red Zebras. ...
MavsFan77 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 According to Colin Cowherd this is breaking news: Patrick Mahomes signs a 10 year extension with KC through 2031. No $ figure yet.

Which I get 37.5 per would be the new record, but for a generational talent that’s still fair to KC. The thing I’m intrigued by is how much crying will Dak do now? Since his franchise tag signing date is in 9 days.

Beech27 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) Funny thing: This story "broke" in KC when a liquor store owner tweeted that a Chiefs employee was buying celebratory champagne for a signing that wasn't Chris Jones. Also, we'll see, but I'd be shocked if Mahomes gets less than 40 per. Although the current popular rumor is his yearly rate will just be a set percentage of the cap, and so go up as it does (if, after this pandemic, it does). Edited July 6, 2020 by Beech27 1

nofuture Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) Schefter is saying 450 million with a 140 mill injury guarantee. His overall guarantee is still being worked on. Edited July 6, 2020 by nofuture

And considering as I’ve posted before his stats suck against teams with a winning record. So yeah he can take a flying hike, and I’m sure Jerry will tell him to do exactly that (as a Giants fan I’d love it if they blow fifty million per on such a crap QB, but I know they won’t). 1
