odessasteps
Presumably money and ego. But he seems to be finanically comfortable. Ego if he wants to be the guy that main evented a show with over 100,000 people (work or shoot).

BoKnowsWrestling
From what he says (he's a carny) he has no interest.... Judging by some of his plugs (the long winded story about rv batteries) I'm not sure he won't do anything for some cash.
Brian Fowler
Snoop's cousin can't do a law enforcement prison guard gimmick. Now if they sign a cousin of Rick Ro$$, by all means.

Right?
The Unholy Dragon
Why do people think Austin is going to wrestle again? Ya know, the older I get, the more I realize how little people seem to understand what wrestling does to the body let alone how money works. Make 6 figures getting your body get beat up for 15 minutes risking possible paralysis and death, or have a stunt double take all the beatings while you collect a 7 figure check and residuals. I am confused as to why people think Steve would even consider wrestling. He seems to talk on a lot of his shows about regretting how he wasted his last good year due to the walkout. And in a lot of ways his last match ended up being more about setting Rock up to be fed to Goldberg, as much as it was a perfect cap to their feud. Honestly, Austin practically screams that he wants one more match, but he won't stand being second fiddle to anyone else or having a shitty program if that's going to be the deal. That's why as much as he and Punk angled for a match, it didn't happen. Austin wasn't going to be second to Rock and wasn't going to return for anything less than Mania. Now that Punk's gone, it becomes a whole other thing finding a program worth him returning for. Basically I think he's got the itch to finish things the 'right' way but his ego won't let him settle for less than perfect so it's never going to actually happen. nate
Brock vs D-Bry could well end up as a sacrifice to the pagan Gods. Brock would be dumping Bryan's corpse all over the ring in the hopes that the Old Ones bless him with a successful hunting season. Cthulhu approves!
RandomAct
All of this pales in comparison to my plan to come out of retirement as Ice Train II. Why Ice Train II, rather than M.I. Smooth II? So I can come out to this fucking jam of a song.

I'm not sure WWE wants to try a violent policeman gimmick in 2015. Better yet a tag team. WWE would only have them feud with New Day and The Prime Time Players.

Raziel
You know... Undertaker is north of 50. In 2 out of his last 3 matches, against Lesnar, he could barely make it out of the arena, and he's worked at least once a year and in some sembelance of ring shape over the past decade. Sting is north of 50, has been working somewhat steadly over the past 12 years, and got injured seriously on a bump that Rollins does pretty much every PPV match... Why the fuck are people so insistant that someone like Austin, that hasn't worked a match in over a decade, with totally fucked knees, back, and neck, get into the ring with Brock? Are we at the point where we want the nostaliga so bad that someone's gonna have to die before we knock it the fuck off with guys that should retire and can't bump anymore getting into matches where they bump?

Probably because they fucking suck at making new stars so people are down with killing the old ones instead. Playa Shunna Ver 3.0
If Cesaro could connect with the fans like the Show does, then they wouldn't have to job him out so much. Plus, the Big Show is a big fucking star. He was on Nitro AND RAW during the Monday's Night's Wars. He is also over 6'4" and has a tattoo. Can't argue against that.

Not to mention that bringing back these old part-timers continues to hold back the young full-time talent from getting ahead. If they wanted to bring back the old guys as captains for Survivor Series like golf does it for Ryder Cup, that would be cool. Let them pick their teams and cut promos and be part of the action that way. I really don't need to see Lesnar finally kill someone by turning their bones into dust.

I'm with you. All Austin has to do at WM next year is have his theme play, come out, stunner someone, celebrate, leave. And he would get just as much of a crowd reaction all with 0% chance of paralysis.
