Jiji
He's a schmuck but that was hilarious and spot on about a guy who was sent down to the minors calling Bautista a nobody.

sabremike
First place Mets!!! Beating up on the Marlins is so fun (I'll never forget them celebrating like they won the World Series when they won the last game at Shea so fuck 'em).
Dolfan in NYC
Much like how the Mets have forgotten how to win a World Series for the last 30 years.
FireThunder
Adrian Beltre hits a home run to complete the cycle in the fifth inning of the Astros/Rangers game. His teammates (spurred on by Elvis Andrus) celebrate by rubbing his head when he gets back to the dugout, driving him nuts. Good times!
sabremike
Much like how the Mets have forgotten how to win a World Series for the last 30 years. I think we just may remember how in the near future.
Joe Lucia
Beltre's just the fourth player in history to hit for three cycles in his career. That's wild.
Craig H
When was the last time two players from the same team hit for the cycle in the same year?
Joe Lucia
Well, Aaron Hill hit for two cycles in the span of 11 days in 2012... If you wanted to go different players on the same team, Kubel and Cuddyer for the 09 Twins.
Justin877
The Mets are only going to build me up and then break my heart. I have seen this song and dance before.
Serious Darius Bagfelt
The pitching is still going to be the death of them, even with Price, but it'd be nice to see them at least end the playoff drought. Well hopefully they can keep the pitching going. Dickey has been feeling it lately, Buerhle is solid in what he does, Estrada doesn't suck. Hutchinson is the wildcard. They say he has been glued to Price's side since he came into town hopefully some mojo rubs off on him.
RIPPA
I enjoy how all the Nats fans went from "the Mets can't keep this up. They will fade. We will never lose the lead." to "Fire Matt Williams!"
Dewar
Zaun's rant yesterday was epic. He's really taken to the "Baseball's version of Don Cherry" schtick.

Joe Lucia
The Tigers just shit canned Dave Dombrowski, four days after the trade deadline. What a mess.

odessasteps
So,if TO was wink wink talking to Dombrowski already, puts the Price trade in a new light.
pipGofern
If I was the owner and I spent that much on my team, I'd be kinda pissed at my GM throwing in the towel, too. Especially when they're basically right there with Toronto and Texas.
Infinit
What about those Blue Jays?? Yeah the batting lineup is scary...but we've had some real strong pitching since the break. 3 runs allowed in the past 3 games. Now to do some scoreboard watching lol
Serious Darius Bagfelt
So,if TO was wink wink talking to Dombrowski already, puts the Price trade in a new light. Interesting because there was murmurs that Billy Beane was considering taking the Blue Jays President role.

odessasteps
BOB McCown has been pushing the Beane To TO story hard the last week, saying he thinks Billy is the only locigal candidate.
Serious Darius Bagfelt
He would be a good candidate just wonder what kind of money Toronto would offer. Dombrowski was getting 3 million in Detroit. Best thing is the new Rogers CEO has asked that Edward Rogers be removed from the process since he was busy tampering and asking division rivals what would they do last year. Dolfan in NYC
The Mets picked up RP Eric O'Flaherty in a waiver trade with Oakland for cash and a PTBNL.
