cubbymark Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 As good as Canada is at hockey, they're bad at soccer. Scary stat: they have not scored a single goal in their last six Gold Cup games. 0-0 draw vs Costa Rica tonight eliminates them from the tournament. Real scrappy contest, though.
ChesterCopperpot Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 They got shut out by Martinique in one of those games .............fucking Martinique ............................ I didn't even know it was a country
Death From Above Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Until the youth development attitude changes, it's going to be a long road.
Jiji Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 And it's not like we don't have the boys and girls playing the sport at young ages.
Dewar Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Martinique isn't a country, it's a French principality. And we fucking lost to them. My team won our game 6-1 last night, and I completely forgot that Canada was failing to score again at the same time. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I was fully expecting the T&T guy to get bonked in the head by a full bottle of the unspeakable before that corner. Here is the video: http://screamer.deadspin.com/trinidad-and-tobago-tie-mexico-with-last-second-corner-1718139507
cubbymark Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Amazing result for T&T, and even more amazing to a certain degree is CUBA scoring a goal to beat Guatemala and advance to the quarterfinals despite a -7 goal differential, several defections and a few no-shows.
Pete Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Saturday: Fabian Delph pledges future to Aston Villa. Today: Fabian Delph undergoes medical at Man City. Yep.
Dewar Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 It was a pretty long five days for him. Getting his salary tripled probably helps too.
Randy Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Don't forget that he said that he was looking forward to being Villa's captain. Fabian is hilarious.
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Miami FC has their stadium, it will be built next to Marlins park and seat about 25000. There was supposed to be something being worked out with the University of Miami to do a joint soccer/football stadium on the old Orange Bowl site, but as of now, that is off. Now about a name...
Death From Above Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Tigers. Because Miami by itself would be a boring name.
odessasteps Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Posh Miami "Miami FC takes it up the ass, doo dah."
Dolfan in NYC Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Posh Miami "Miami FC takes it up the ass, doo dah." HEY. You save that shit for someone who deserves it. Like Francine.
Jiji Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Wow, no taxpayers money either. I didn't know such a thing could happen in 2015.
Raziel Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Its only soccer, you can't expect MLS owners to fleece the taxpayers the way the NFL/MLB/NBA can.
muhammedboehm Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Wow, no taxpayers money either. I didn't know such a thing could happen in 2015. Well that depends is it no taxpayer bond or is it no tax credits and such
ChesterCopperpot Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Stop me if you have heard this before - but Giovinco
