RIPPA Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 I might as well close the thread because nothing is topping that
BobbyWhioux Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Perhaps no photograph could ever be more in the DVDVR collective wheelhouse than that one. 1
Library Dude Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I think the only thing that could make it more DVDVR would be a police mugshot of Ambrose on the TV after he'd been arrested for INSERT WACKY AMBROSE ANTIC.
Spritenaut 32 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Is that Renee Young with Henry (think it is, but not certain)?
Happ Hazzard Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Some great photos from 1971 Houston wrestling: 10

JRGoldman Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 From Seth Rollins' Instagram: "This is the photo that will define a generation." -- There's a joke to be made in there about millenials feeling entitled to things they didn't earn, but... well I can't think of a good way to end this sentence. I think there are two other recent Seth Rollins photos that better define the tendencies of this generation. 8
Zakk_Sabbath Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 He looks a little bit like a smaller version of my grandfather, to where I did a double take almost cause that is most certainly not my grandmother. He wasn't too much of a wrestling guy, but I remember watching Nitro (never Raw, I'm not crazy) at the house as a kid, and he would always jokingly ask where Bruno was.
Death From Above Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I mean, the monthly photo threads are always a DVDVR highlight, but this is gonna be one hell of a month.
The Green Meanie Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Re: The Houston Wrestling Book I once ran across an actual physical copy in a local Half Price Books a few years ago. It was in the expensive locked glass case. I remembered looking through it and just being amazed at the photos contained inside, it's a great piece of Houston history, not just wrestling history. It was $350 dollars. Needless to say, I didn't get it and thought I'd never seen the contents inside again. So thanks much for posting the gallery of that.
elizium Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 John Waters was a terrible choice to leave in charge of selling merch, he just took all the photos home. 4
Happ Hazzard Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Is this Gory Guerrero with Johnny Valentine? That's Jose Lothario.
hammerva Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 This is your future Tyler Breeze. RUN FOR YOUR LIVES
Spritenaut 32 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 That may be the best haircut he's had since the 80's (I thought the faux-pompadour he's had the past few years looked ridiculous).
Ace Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 It's a photoshop. Jericho's April Fool's joke. Triple H's haircut shopped onto Jericho's head.
Pete Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Love all of these, especially the crowd shots with whites, blacks, Latinos all mixing up like it's nothing in 1971. The Sam was such a wonderfully atmospheric old barn. http://www.geoffwinningham.com/wrestling.html Website caption says this is "Mr Houston" vs Wahoo. Boris Malenko? EDIT: Confirmed.
