DreamBroken Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Imagining all of the many dream matches for Shane O MAC becoming ALL Elite. Make it happen! 3 hours ago, NikoBaltimore said: TIL that Fallon was Tesha Price. So between her, Madi Wrenkowski/Wren Sinclair and Elena Black/Cora Jade it almost feels easier to see who were extras on Dark that are/were on NXT TV. Because that seems to me that somebody in NXT was smartly watching Dark/Elevation for a while and seeing who could help in rebuilding NXT. Thea Hail was also on a couple as "Nikita Knight" working Thunder Rosa and Julia Hart. Kiana James was on a few too as "Xtina Kay" in 2021 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Re: Shane Would he be coming in as just a talent? I haven't followed Shane that closely in a minute. Is he still the guy who purports himself as a great business mind? Cause I can see him trying to angle himself to negotiate some TV deals on behalf of Tony Khan. 2
NoFistsJustFlips Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Just for the weirdness alone I'm down for Shane showing up. Fifth man for The Elite in Blood & Guts? I'm sure he's a sneaker head and likes fast cars. Can drop and elbow off the cage or some shit. Why not lol 3
Elsalvajeloco Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Okada as the Joey Abs of the 2024 Mean Street Posse would be the best. 1 2
ExcellenceofAirPollution Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Shane joining the Patriarchy after Christian buries his father would be so surreal it would almost be worth it..... 7 2
odessasteps Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 How much would it cost TK to license Here Comes the Money? 1
Zimbra Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I think there are worse things TK could burn his money on than bringing Shane in for some kind of one-shot appearance but I do not under any circumstances want to see him as a recurring character. 4

I can only think of two -- Hobbs and Skye Blue. Anyone else? I know Cora Jade went to NXT after starting on Dark as Elena Black. Not sure if that counts. I don't think anyone named her yet but I think Willow is the biggest success story. Started her AEW career with eight straight Dark losses. 10

He will be wearing ALL the sweater vests they can find IMO. 7 minutes ago, odessasteps said: How much would it cost TK to license Here Comes the Money? For BOTH that and the Mean Street Posse music, there is some unsuspecting sucker or two or three who doesn't know a pink slip is in their future. "Budget cuts"
MoeCristyV.1.6 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Let Darby cut a promo backstage about "The Best in the World" again. Launch the following Rampage with Shane. 1 5

I'm not even talking the logo or set design but there's just something about it that just works for me. Maybe it's the slicker production nowadays and me rejecting it without knowing I am? Possibly. But I think part of it is also they were trying so many things to make the PPVs stick out that I wish would be attempted again. For one the lighted bracelets they gave up was so unique and added something to the crowd presentation. Surely doing that one time in the future wouldn't hurt, right? Something I've been thinking/feeling a lot lately when watching AEW is that the demographics of the crowd (particularly the front couple of rows visible on screen) has skewed significantly older in the last few years. I'll have to go back to confirm, but I seem to recall a younger crowd in the early days. The front row nowadays often feels very "I pay for a blue tick on twitter" - I'm looking at the people who wear ref shirts, the people who combine burberry scarf with Hager hat with neck brace, the people who wear sequined jackets, all the "so-and-so eats corn the long way" signs. Does any of that influence your view on the freshness at all Niko? 2

Elsalvajeloco Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Isn't the man married to a famous actress? The man has to be a real life snob. Probably walks around all day with their Pomeranian named Gingersnap.
odessasteps Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Oh, the thought of a faux WWE invasion led by Shane has made me laugh for a couple minutes. 3

Not the Winged Eagle, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Spinner tossed in the garbage because that belt is fucking hideous and doesn't bring back fond memories of my childhood. Johnny Sorrow Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 I just went to the liquor store and the clerk had an Okada shirt on. That blew my mind. 6
