Curt McGirt Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Yeah. Hell the last time I saw Jeff on WWE TV was his mugshot.

Was that due to messing up all the match timings? Just watched Ragin Cajun and it’s pretty bizarre show and looks like it had hardly any crowd. So strange how Scott was the booker in wrestling from the mid 70s to the mid 80s then just couldn’t adapt. My fave match of the Flair/Steamboat trilogy FWIW Edited May 3, 2020 by BurningBeard

My fave match of the trilogy though According to Ross and Cornette on their pods, from what I understand Scott refused to push the Clash on tv because he thought it would hurt house shows. That's why the attendance was so dismal in the cavernous Superdome and the rating was disappointing at the time.
odessasteps Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 George Scott did not want to promote the Clash too heavily, as to not hurt their house show business.

So expect them to add a third member named Mush Crumpton or something soon. ♫ Here comes the Dax Here comes the Cash-er They’re The Remodelers Walls lathed and plastered Paint and construction are their middle naaaaaaaames ♫ 5 3 5

Maybe he gets massacred by Stroman upon his return, or maybe Vince forces him to do the "dancing fool" gimmick he had worked up for The Revival. I believe that was 2018 and then 2019. He's already as stale as it gets, 2020 needs something fresh. Bring back Shane O Mac. 1 1

Curt McGirt Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 The only thing Shane would be good for is taking the bump off the roof for Money in the Bank. Big Show would breathe a sigh of relief. 2
RIPPA Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 BTW - since it was mentioned about KO, Sami Zayn is another person who hasn't wanted to work during this time (hence why Baron Corbin is the third in that feud now) So I am thinking that over dramatic "news report" from last month about how "Sami is being a pain backstage" was more "Sami is staying home"
odessasteps Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Maybe the “pain backstage” was a wink to his wisdom teeth surgery? 1
Southside Jim Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 If both WWE and AEW lose their tv deals due to COVID-19, we're going to see house shows come back with a vengeance. Imagine AEW having to start doing syndicated TV shows: Tony Schiavone: "Chattanooga! AEW is coming to your town! This Friday night at the Convention Center, AEW presents 8 big matches, including The Elite: Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks, in a six-man 'country whipping' match against SoCal Uncensored, the loser of the fall gets manure dumped over his head, all six men will be armed with leather straps! Plus, Dr. Britt Baker takes on Riho in a '$10,000 Dragon Shi Challenge!' Both ladies will be armed with kendo sticks, the first one to strike her opponent in the head will win the match and $10,000! And in the main event, Kenny Omega challenges former tag team partner Hangman Page in a tuxedo match! Tickets available at the box office! Don't miss out!" 4
Sammo~! Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 I just thought Dax Hardwood was a tongue in cheek porn name like Sexton Hardcastle. Glad to see the Revival taking their cosplay of the 80s generation to the next level. 1

paintedbynumbers Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I always find it funny WWE holding ppvs on Mother's Day. Surely all the mom's and wives love watching wrestling with their kids and husbands. Also having both MITB matches running at the same time is a bad, bad idea. Pretty sure whoever the hacker is will win the male case.

Well considering the fact the hacker was supposed to win last years men’s MITB (I still don’t believe that) it would seem somewhat appropriate.

AxB Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 So I was watching last week's Smackdown, where they had the Triple H 25th WWE Anniversary Celebration ceremony. I though it was perfect. What better way to sum up Triple H's WWE career than with an overlong self-indulgent in-ring comedy segment that isn't funny? 6 2
