Niners Fan in CT
It's not worth it. YouTube TV has a far better channel lineup and streams flawlessly across all platforms. I used to think Hulu was pretty good until I tired YouTube TV. If you are interested in either I would recommend YouTube.
Craig H
YTTV is definitely better if just because YTTV can work across multiple homes. Hulu TV only works in the same household, which isn't great if you're looking to split the bill with other people.
bobholly138
I never saw a need for Hulu TV. I get pretty much every show I want to watch the next day on Hulu.
Coletti
Also if you have YouTube TV you can subscribe to HBO Max through it and get all the benefits of that service, plus several live streaming HBO channels on YTTV.

EDIT: Answered my own question after looking it up. It would be nice if everything was to be played through the YTTV app instead of forcing most of the stuff on Max. I know with Wonder Woman '84 the sound's gonna suck ass and if not for the pandemic I'd rather see it in theaters instead. But I do wish I knew it was gonna be integrated into YTTV before I signed up for Max. So that'll be fun switching things around. Dolfan in NYC
Chappelle Show has been pulled off Netflix after Dave complained to upper management that he wasn't being paid for the streaming rights. And you know, while I agree with Dave in principle, and agree it's super cool of Netflix to grant his wish... He did breach his contract, so.... RIPPA
Quibi is officially dead as - at least per Variety - the app has stopped working (basically you can no longer sign into the service)

Control
After what seemed like a bit of a dry spell, Prime is back to adding some B-movie goodness like MARTIAL LAW 1 & 2, Wings Hauser in NIGHT SHADOWS, Adam West in ONE DARK NIGHT, and WOMEN’s PRISON MASSACRE.
Niners Fan in CT
Did we discuss this? I like it. Can't keep pushing the movie slate back and nobody knows exactly how theaters will be for 2021. Yes, this might be a fast-forwarding to what the eventual outcome was going to be but at least for this upcoming year it's a win for the consumer. No additional cost and 4K/HDR/Dolby for the whole slate.

odessasteps
Why did no one mention just how vast the Looney Tunes catalog was on hbo max? 31 “seasons”
Niners Fan in CT
HBO MAX dropped a metric ton of content today. DC animated shows, Batman The Animated Series, pretty much all the outstanding animated movies that weren't there yet, Cartoon Network content, a ton of catalogue titles in their movies section...
odessasteps
I saw Flintstones, Yogi and Jonny Quest on there. Some Tom and Jerry, but not all the Chuck Jones.

hammerva
I don't know if this would qualify for the documentary thread but Netflix debut a new comedy series called The History of Swear Words. And it is basically comedians talking about famous swear words like fuck, shit, bitch, dick, and pussy talking about the history and how it has involved from something offensive to sometimes a good thing. Here is the trailer but it is definitely NSFW

JonnyLaw
Watching the Muppet Show is legitimately one of my very first memories. I can’t wait to try to get my daughter to watch it only for her to show zero interest in it! 5
Matt D
Season 4+5 is a huge get since they never made it to DVD. But yeah, modern kids who will watch almost anything else from your childhood still hate the muppet show as anything bigger than selected YouTube bits. JonnyLaw
I knew we had a Disney+ thread, but completely overlooked it, so apologies there. There really is something about the Muppets that my daughter is just instinctively like, “Nope.”
Matt D
One kid loves Muppet Treasure Island. The other loves Muppet Babies. Both love Mah Na Mah Na. But it’s a lot to devour at a time and with a lot of songs that are either slower or more low key or that don’t have a ton of cultural relevance in 2021.
