I don't get bringing in Mike Bailey as Karate Man unless they are trying to make him like GSP.

Making Orange Cassidy vs. Hechicero your main event the next live TV show after your big PPV is idiotic.

I also don't get doing a tournament to crown a contender for Kenny Omega right before you're doing the Owen Hart tournament for another title shot. Seems redundant.

They just had a tournament to see who would face Kenny for this very same title, when Kenny wasn't even the champ!

Like I said before the show, this tournament is just a mcguffin so they could have these four matches, and people wouldn't bitch about having these matches with no story. Instead, they're bitching about another tournament.

Damned if you do, damned if you don;t.  Meanwhile, phenomenal matches on free TV.  I'll take it

Blake Christian v Titus Alexander on Honorclub is well worth a look. A great showcase for both, but Christian in particular. His sleazy heel act seems very ready for cable television. His in ring acumen is strong, but his character work is even better. No sleepy barely aware pre-AEWTV ROH audience can resist booing the man.

That's his gimmick.  I don't love it but it's not like they're going to change the dude's gimmick.  Though I'd be cool with Mike Baily, Fighting Accountant.

If forced to, I'd rather watch that tbh.

That doesn't sound like good creative.

Also, the Owen Hart Tournament already being mentioned? We're only in March, isn't that a thing later in the year usually?

First started in March 2022, finished in May 2022.

Second started June 2023 ending in July 2023.

Third started June 2024 ending in July 2024.

So, yeah, early to bring it up unless it's reverting back to the inaugural one.

Whoever wins the Owen gets the title shot at All In. Ospreay wants to be World Champion, but the World title isn't defended often, and the next two title shots are already locked in. So if he wants to challenge for the belt somewhere down the line in 2025, what better place to do it than at All In, in a stadium in Texas? Then he can have his first defence at Forbidden Door, at an undisclosed location in London in August.

So yeah, he brought up the Owen for that reason.

One of the things AEW does that I enjoy is set up long term title shots for guys and have some long term planning. Like you'd never get a WWE wrestler talking in October or November about the Rumble as a long term goal for them to get to 'Maina.

So if the Owen is for the shot at All In in July and the tournament might start in May then it's a long term goal for Will instead of trying to jump or interrupt Moxley during a promo or something.

Megan Bayne is coming in like I thought Kamille would come in. Nice stuff from her and Thunder Rosa with the pre-match attack helping lead to Rosa's defeat, who still looked good despite it all. This should be a nice feud for Toni.

Oh my goodness, I'm all aboard the Megan Bayne Train. Thank goodness someone finally took care of that constant complainer Rosa. Megan just elevated her stock way, way up. That kick to the ribs she gave was damn entertaining and satisfying.

Did anyone else think it was weird that one of the guys that the Murder Machines beat up looked suspiciously like a knock-off Penta?

Andretti/Rush being called "The Crew" is dumb, but adding those spikes to regular sport jackets is even dumber.

Absolultely loved the pairing of Hobbs and The Outrunners, but again I must ask, where is Erica Leigh?

quietly dropped last September, I think. Might have had something to do with tweets by a partner alleging that she was abusive.

So, awhile back (six months?), RobViper posted on Twitter that he had pitched a "Beauty & Beast" angle to TK, involving Harley Cameron and Mortos.  He's referenced it a few times since.

So starting this week, Harley is hanging out with Hologram again as Harleygram, and AEW is working to establish Komander & Hologram as a legit tag team (They're actually headlining in Arena Mexico soon against Mistico & Mascara Dorada).

Hologram had a badass match with Dralistico a couple weeks ago, and in that match and since, Dralistico has repeatedly gone after Holo's mask.  Dralistico is teaming with Mortos (and Rush, who hasn't been around).

I think we are going to get a scenario where Dralistico (or Rush) are going to try to unmask Harleygram, and Mortos is going to turn on them to rescue her.

And it is going to be fucking spectacular.

Opening montage and Elton John video this week! I love seeing the hard cam from the ramp (thank you!). This nicely presented the beautiful double balcony backdrop at 'The Theater At Virgin Hotels Las Vegas'. FTR v O'Reilly/Strong 2 was rock solid Tag Team Wrestling. Super-Flow-motion. Ricochet v Shibata was a little underwhelming. Davis-Briscoe was a lot of fun. Briscoe seems to have a spring in his step since returning from his short break. Davis is an underrated hoss-y brute. I really liked his montage promo off the top. I liked briefly thinking about a Mark Briscoe v Kenny Omega match. I didn't love the finish, but I do like the protection. I really dislike the Murder Machines getting punked out by the Hurt Syndicate and then being dropped as contenders. I loathe Lance Archer squashes/backstage squash segments as much as anything on AEW TV. I really want to see Cage/Archer get some competitive wins, but I fear this is as good as it gets for them. Hobbs is another guy who really underwhlems in squashes. He's done this for far too long. I need to see him score competitive wins every week now - I believe he's there. Good Toni Storm promo and attack on Bayne. The Bayne-Rosa match was fairly well contested. The start was a bit wonky - Rosa got attacked in the back, but then seemed to come out for the match more concerned with posing and then jawing than revenge for the attack. An F5 on the ramp really oughtta be sold as death. I'm interested in this Harley-Beast story, but I'm not yet sold they can collectively pull it off. This week was better than last week tho. Very good Collision and another great looking venue.

Rosa had a hard time keeping her laugh down.  Had to have been improvised.

What an awesome building they were in for Collision.  Loved the setup and the camera wackiness they were doing.  The opening match entrances all being on one camera shot felt kind of WWE-like but given the creative use of a small building I liked that a lot.

Oh, I agree. The only way it could be better is if Harley were playing herself and Harleygram on tv, and as Harley she vehemently denied having anything to do with that masked lady.

Boy, they sure had a bunch of confidence in Griff Garrison, expecting him to last long enough against Hobbs, considering the standby match that had to take place later on, wasn't exactly short.

Slow burn on the FTR heel turn continues. The match was as good as expected, although a 20-minute time limit made sure it wasn't going to be an epic.

Will there be two 1-hour Collisions next week (basically 1 episode split in two) or 2 whole episodes?

Davis vs Briscoe was good and the only qualifier with a somewhat of a surprise winner.

Somehow, the heel Prickochet works to the point where I'm not disappointed that his high flying isn't on the level of AEW standard anymore, because he's good at getting his ass kicked. Decent match against Shibata.

Busy night for Megan Bayne again! Wins over Rosa and Statlander give her instant credibility, at least enough for an early shot at the World title. And to answer Timeless Toni's question of what kind of sick fanfic thought Megan Bayne up? My kind, Toni! My kind!

HarleyGram-Ford Taurus odd romance (well, fascination at least) will probably end in tears but there IS a chance of a Mini Mortos puppet, so it may very well be worth it!

So just like that, Top Flight is once again more relevant than Private Party. Well, let's see if The Cru will be more relevant than either of them? Well, Private Party is still more relevant than The Infantry, despite dissappearing after the title loss.

Moxley keeps making enemies before settling the scores with previous ones. He can't keep getting away with this!
