  1. Mikey Rooney in BOYS TOWN from 1938 (hat). But it's somehow also a reboot of TWINS from 1988 (enormous size of the man) and Batista is starring with a holograph of Mickey Rooney from the year 3000 (futuristic stare) and they're gamblers on a riverboat from the 1890s like in MAVERICK from 1994 (vest) and they help win World War 2 from the 1940s (hat again) because Big Dave wished for it like in THE INCREDIBLE MR. LIMPET (bow tie) from 1964 and this is all somehow happening in 2020 (you reading this).

  7. I wasn't thinking Sammy would be back this soon, but it's great to have the Inner Circle whole again.

  8. Damn, top to bottom that might be one of my favorite Dynamite episodes they've done. I was in love with that opener and the FCA tag was wonderfully chaotic. And it ended with a fun main event and Sammy returning. Man I loved it.

  11. This wasn't better than the Atlanta Dynamite, but that one's the best US wrestling card of the year, so that's no biggie. This was probably the most entertaining AEW show of the covid era, other than the Matt Hardy golf cart episode. Everything worked. When the worst thing on the show was a perfectly fine Diamante- Ivelisse match, you did something right. Sign Eddie Kingston NOW. Not tomorrow, not after breakfast. Now.

  13. Man, fuck WCW for how they handled Mike Awesome.
    4 points
  14. Mike Awesome was out for a year with a knee injury he suffered in August-September 1998. He came back and felt because of how much FMW had changed when he was able to return in 1999 with Fuyuki now the booker and Onita/Go Ito were no longer there he didn't feel like FMW was the same company any longer so he didn't feel the loyalty towards it he had previously felt. So he joined All Japan. He did one tour and was planning on that being his new home when ECW came a calling. He would make less money than All Japan but he wasn't going to have to travel and tour in Japan and he was going to be the champion so he knew he would be pushed correctly so he chose ECW. Then towards the end of his ECW run he had not been paid for awhile and what really upset him and why he never felt any loyalty to ECW to begin with was because he was never paid by Heyman for Heatwave 98 a year and a half earlier.

  15. It really is amazing how the NFL had the most time and could see what the other 3 leagues were doing and yet somehow managed to just hammer themselves in the dick repeatedly. Somehow they made MLB look competent

  19. Awesome show. Hell of a way to kick it off with Cody/Kingston, sick tacks bump and dug the finish coming off Kingston selling the knee throughout the match. Falls Count Anywhere was a blast, loved that and the finish looked spectacular. Archer tossing the dude through the ceiling was the absolute best. Great to see Ivelisse, always a favorite of mine. Kind of surprised she didn't go over but I enjoyed the match and I like Diamante too .Would like to see both signed. Solid main event, Jungle Boy's rana at the end taking out Ortiz and Santana was amazing. Totally wasn't even thinking about Guevara so that was a neat surprise I didn't see coming. Good stuff.

  20. It killed me that Jake didn't change level or tone the whole time, he just acted like nothing was going on.

  21. Great card, first hour felt like it flew by. - Falls Count Anywhere was perfectly stupid. They even had a "MUD SHOW TONIGHT" sign in the back of the truck. - Women's match was great (so I was right about that at least), Ivelisse's leg is finally healed and let's hope it stays that way. Diamante was mean as fuck and both ladies' faces look like they were carved out of granite. Diamante has a chin like Jay Leno. - MJF got hurt by the PIP ad run but he got his heat back but just grabbing the mic and taking it forcefully. - Jake soliloquized while his charge canned people like they were in high school. - KINGSTON. You guys have been watching him in JAPW, Chikara, etc. for years and I've seen maybe three matches of his. Can we please just get a thread of stuff for me/us to watch? If I typed in "Segunda Caida Eddie Kingston" to Google it'd take me a year to sift through. During the main I was eating dinner but it sounded hot as hell, and little shithead Guevara is back so I presume it ruled. Wild night of wrestling.

  22. What an amazing show! Second hour had very solid matches and a tremendous main event, but nothing was going to top Hour #1. Kingston & Cody beat the monkey piss out of each other, Butcher / Blade vs. Bucks FCA was psychotic, and Lance Archer put a man through the ceiling while Jake cut a promo. There was no following that shit

  23. Shit, that’s one of the sickest thumbtack bumps I’ve ever seen. “Gonna see how this new white wrist tape works out”. Please never stop doing these. I love how Brodie took Colt to the back like a father protecting his kid from seeing the bad shit about to happen and Cabana just being oblivious to it.

Ill bet my house he's wearing skinny jeans and wingtips and looks better then I ever will on my best day. hats off to you, super duper dave batista!

  33. Speaking of trophy talk (sorry), got my 175th Platinum trophy with The Last of Us Part II. Compared to The Last of Us Remastered, it was relatively easy. The entire Platinum can be done on Light / Very Light difficulty and thankfully there's no multiplayer trophies, New Game+ trophies or Survivor/Grounded mode trophies. I imagine those are coming in the future, which means I would have to attempt them.

  37. The "Barely Legal" submission appears to be pre-golf pro gimmick. Honestly don't remember this at all - - early 98 Darsow appears to be "talk like the Blacktop Bully while dress like Krusher Khruschev."

  39. Darsow's golf gimmick in the dying days of WCW was phenomenal. Anyway the answer for me is Sho Funaki spinning Vince thinking that film overdub joke was the funniest thing ever into a 12 year WWE stint.
