HarryArchieGus
Sami Callahan is somebody I saw for the first time watching the pre-AEW MLW shows. I was not a fan. I saw him in Impact and thought what a mistake to make this obvious heel a baby face. Then I saw his earlier work and was shocked how good he was. Admittedly I always skip his matches, but curious - are there good Callihan matches from the past few years? Other than the sorta good (but lesser for Kenny) Omega match?

There is a great Sami Callihan vs Fit Finlay match when Fit Finlay was wrestling in the indies on his last run.
Curt McGirt
Sami vs. Danny Havoc in the Cage of Death is great if you can handle the gore. He also had a good match versus Necro that was on one of the Schneider comps. First time I ever saw him. He grates on me these days unfortunately.

I meant Moreso the modern times version. Regardless, these look like worthwhile watches.
Jiji
Of his post-NXT run, the first thing that comes to mind is the Pentagon match from Impact. That rocked. Hair vs. mask, Slammiversary 2018. Timestamped. There's a death match rematch that Impact posted on their youtube channel but it's not nearly as good, but maybe worth your time if you like this. Oh... and the Tessa matches. Edited August 5, 2022 by Jiji 1

The Pentagon match above is IMO the definitive Callihan match, his best work and that event is the peak of a great Impact era. Elsewhere in Impact, he has various good matches with Eddie Edwards in 2018-19, really liked his match with Rich Swann at Rebellion 2019, enjoyed his work with Brian Cage (BFG 2019 and steel cage rematch). 2
kafkonia
I'm running a bit behind. Kip the Box sighting in the main event of Dark!? Is this ever going anywhere? It's kind of a dadaesque anti-angle. I assume the Trust Busters will be a Dark-only stable that will eventually fizzle out. Not a huge fan of Dollar General Brock Lesnar - his tats make him look like he's wearing a turtleneck pulled up over his shoulders. Was nice to see Pretty Peter back in action. How much of a delay is there between taping Dark and airing it these days? Edited August 7, 2022 by kafkonia

How much of a delay is there between taping Dark and airing it these days? Kip had his first match back from injury recently, and this is the first time it's ever really been acknowledged so I imagine his return feud will be against Pac for the All-Atlantic considering he's from the UK as well. Dark usually gets the big batch taping now which runs for about a month or so with Dark Elevation being taped before Dynamite/Rampage and aired the following Monday, however at the Rampage/Battle of The Belts taping last night, they taped some Dark matches and interview with Andrade/Rush with Tony for their match "tomorrow" against The Lucha Bros because they had the special Dark Elevation before Rampage this week. So that might be how they do it with a live Rampage taping, likewise next week is a live Rampage so lets see how that plays out.

Phil Schneider
There are actually two Finlay vs. Callihan matches, one from EVOLVE which was Finlay's first match back and I was live at and one from WXW in Germany.

DEAN
Megan Meyers looked awesome. SIGN HER, TK! Ruby Soho and Skye Blue call out Tay Jay after the match! STREET FIGHT! Is Parker Boudreaux coming out to Jane's Addiction? I never really listened to them, for whatever reason. He does a GREAT Beel. Hey! It's Queen Aminata. She's pushed hard in the Women's Wrestling Army. I don't think she will be able to use her best move, her Flying Hip Attack. JESUS! Athena hits the greatest dropkick of the MONTH! On the floor. Athena likes to tell a story. The story is that Queen Aminata is disrespectful to Athena. She gets some offense in but can't set her up for her Flying Hip Attack- which does rival Toni Storm's. Athena crushes her skull and wins. That was good. Hey! It's Freya the Slayah! I see that Leila Grey got all her friends from OVW a gig on Elevation. I love the Leila/Kiera DYNAMIC. Get some tag titles and PUT THEM ON THEM! It will become Akira Hokuto tagging with Shinobu Kandori! Remember how great that was? Instead of tagging they would smack each other upside the head. That was fucking great. Let's get these Baddies smacking each other upside the head! LET'S FUCKING DO IT! It's Lord Crewe from Championship Wrestling from Hollywood! Alex Reynolds has grown a beard! He is changing his looks so he won't be recognized and is trying to avoid getting let go! Fun finish. John Silver is safe. PRETTY PETER AVALON- THE PRETTIEST BOY IN AEW! YESSSSSSS! Of COURSE he's pretty! When we last saw Ryan Nemeth he was having a barnburner with Konosuke Takeshita! Awesome! It's PENTA. He will want to tell a little story, so the Wingmen will get in some offense. Awesome! The Wingmen are UNSTOPPABLE! PENTA must have said before the match, "Get in ANYTHING you can think of." Rey Fenix takes a DDT like RVD because the Lucha Brothers are AWESOME at making Ryan Nemeth look like a total MAN-SLAUGHTERER! They fucking totally kill PPA with a Toprope Spanish Fly into move that would be TOTALLY outlawed in Mexico- a gnarly Piledriver! Postmatch, Andrade and Rush come out to set up prolly the best match Wednesday. I am VERY excited about Alex calling out Jose the Assistant to get his ass in the ring!

Matt D
I still have the back half of Night 2 of SCI to watch this week so I rushed through Elevation tonight. I wish they had talked more about how Ruby took Anna under her wing and now she had Syke and ehh. Skye took more stuff than hit stuff but she takes stuff well (and Myers threw it well) so that's ok. Some of the tandem offense wasn't there yet but the double pin was heartwarming. Bordeaux had a MUCH better squash than last week on Dark. Looked like they might have something worth developing there. I love that he has Prototype Cena's finish. Athena and Aminata had a really good enhancement match. That shotgun dropkick on the floor was nuts. Athena knew it too. She's really good at milking a moment. Aminata took the set up for the O Face brilliantly too and that's a contrived silly twisty facebuster thing so that takes effort. Announcers really didn't pick up on the Baddies dynamic which is that Hogan is a real Baddie and Leila is acting like one and trying to hog the spotlight even though she is an unapproved interim one, but likewise that Hogan won't even give her a chance when she does something well. It's not just that they won't raise their hands, Mark Henry. Get with the program. I like of like Lord Crewe every time he shows up. He made Silver look like a million bucks, but some of that is just his size. I don't know. I'm not watching other stuff to find out. I kind of tuned out the main, sorry. Mark Henry does not understand Rush's name.

I Apparently it's Rukus doing a spot-on Jane's take: It's really accurate. I wonder who is singing? Maybe the guy from The Ghadarvas? Jane's Addiction was my favourite band for several years. Probably seen them live third-most out of all bands that are not my friend's bands (Pearl Jam and DOA are prob 1 and 2 on that list). The lyrics are legitimately funny. You can read them in the comments section of the video. Probably the only time I will ever recommend reading a YouTube comments section. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out if that was a Jane's or Porno for Pyros or Satellite Party or Ghadarvas song I hadn't heard before. "Cash In" is a pretty good Jane's reference, too. Edited August 9, 2022 by Gordlow 5

Zakk_Sabbath
Queen Aminata was awesome, and that dropkick bump on the rail was scaaaAAaaAAaAAary. To me, she's another Skye Blue/Willow -type "must sign."
