Raziel Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Also... Jesus there were some unnecessary head drops tonight. And the "AEW refs are incompetent" meme is a little too much to do twice in the same show. 2

Don't need anyone getting crippled, especially after Matt's gnarly Canadian Destroyer bump. Not only that, but the cage dive lead directly into the finish. It mattered. That was pretty rad. 11

Craig H Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Incredible show with only a couple dull matches. I would count the battle Royale as dull if not for Ruby Soho. Jericho vs mjf was whatever and I just wanted to get through the main event to get to the post match stuff. Everything else fucking ruled. 2
ChrisPBacon Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 The Fakeout with Adam Cole was excellent. how many wrestling shows would have ended there and left the American Dragon debut for wednesday? Tony Kahn, you have the trigger on the pulse of professional wrestling. so many dream matches. too bad Samoa Joe is in the sunken place! he'd be tailor made for a company like this! 8
Casey Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 The AEW on TNT Twitter account has been putting out some really good _____is All Elite graphics tonight. A marquee for Bryan Danielson, graffiti on a building for Ruby Soho, and a ouija board for Adam Cole (lol) 5 2
(BP) Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Punk going from being aww shucks humble Phil at the beginning of the match to screaming, “Did you think I fucking forgot,” after he won was perfect. 9
Craig H Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 A whole lot of, oh fuck CTE moments tonight.
For Great Justice Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 My immediate reaction is that this was the best PPV I’ve seen in 20 years, with WM30 the only contender in its sphere 4 1
The Natural Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 This cracked me up when I read it at 2:00am in the fucking morning. 3 1 10 1
For Great Justice Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 “I love pro wrestling” - Tony Schiavone 14 3
Valcourt Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 I’m just way too excited for a potentially good Bryan Danielson shirt. 2
(BP) Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 The Casino battle royale sucks as a concept because by bringing up five people at once they all have to rush to get their shit in for their shine in like six seconds and if it isn’t timed perfectly it fucks up the next three camera shots. 5

I liked the Cole fakeout, but the roster should pretty much be set now. Stop signing people! I mean, if your competition is going to keep releasing quality talent, why wouldn’t you sign them? You cannot have too many great wrestlers. 5

Eh, between Kingston, Miro, Moxley they have the BAMF brawler column pretty well covered. 2
Overly Critical Man Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 So they wasted Cole’s debut and immediately made him just another guy? 2 1
Nice Guy Eddie Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 This show was like Christmas morning. I felt like a kid tonight. 8
Valcourt Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Also. Thank god this company has wrestlers that have friends who run out to save their buddies. WWE hasn’t done that shit in forever. It’s so simple. The crowd pops and gets over people. 10 1
TimLivingston Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 This was the Barely Legal of AEW’s shows on a big time stage and they delivered. 11

matwarz Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 It dragged in places, but damn, a total summarisation of 2021 US pro-wrestling. A total home run of a show and the perfect platform to leave nothing on the table. 3
The Natural Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! 6
