Craig H Posted February 25 Posted February 25 You severely underestimate the capacity for people to act fucking crazy no matter the situation. People go to Disneyland knowing there will be lines, it will be expensive, it will be crowded, it's full of kids, and it's full of cops and yet I've seen more than enough videos of people throwing down. Same goes for the airport. YOU, and I would estimate most of us, know the airport is a pain in the ass and it's best to just go with the flow. It doesn't matter though. There is a surplus of people who have never been humbled and think their shit doesn't stink. These people also go to the airport where no past repercussions combined with thinking no one can stop them from doing what they want to do equals violence. Look at how many videos there are of people on the flight itself throwing fists or getting hauled off the plane. 1 1
Brian Fowler Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Justin Tucker issued one of those PR driven non-apology apologies today. Basically "I never did anything of these things but I'm sorry to anyone who feels like I did."

Probably a bunch of other shit, too.
Log Posted February 27 Posted February 27 If someone even "feels like" you did the things he's accused of, you fucked up.
Cobra Commander Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Xavier Worthy went from being arrested for a domestic incident to the DA declining to press charges in about 12 hours on a Saturday. The Private Investigator he hired will consider this whole thing to be a net victory too.

hammerva Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Is Mark the first person to ever sue ESPN for something that was on 30 for 30?
Contentious C Posted March 14 Posted March 14 (edited) Just saying, Gastineau and Favre could easily raise more than 25M for their families by doing a PPV where Mark sacks Brett "Thelma and Louise" style...at this point, we may as well go full "Network". Edited March 14 by Contentious C

Cobra Commander Posted March 24 Posted March 24 meanwhile on the Xavier Worthy/Chiefs legal front, Worthy is suing his ex saying she fabricated DV accusations to try extorting from him I'm not an attorney, whatever attorneys are here can tell us about the pros and cons of Xavier Worthy being the one to sue here, especially since he's the richer of the two sides.. people online like to hype up the perils of going to discovery if you sue while having skeletons

Tabe Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Mercedes has filed in court to repossess the Benz owned by Shilo Sanders for failure to make payments. He owes $97k on a set worth less than $97k. Sanders previously filed for bankruptcy, claiming debts of $11m. You read that right. The vast majority of that debt claimed by a security guard at Shilo's high school. If a security guard can somehow have someone owing him $11m, I need to change careers. 1

Yeah, when I'm reevaluating my life, I'm definitely going to look back and wonder how everyone who has ever punched me has been broke. Of all the people I pissed off, not a single one of them had enough money that they'd have to cut me a check after punching me.

Gotta go to Beverly Hills or the Upper East Side or something I guess.
Brian Fowler Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (Though if we assume the security guard is honest, Shiloh didn't just punch him, he broke the dude's neck and caused permanent spine and neurological damage.)
Contentious C Posted April 3 Posted April 3 If that's the case, 11 should be considered a steal by Sanders' lawyers.

Had to pay my respects to this part of the board also. I didn't know Mongo was a legit athlete as I was a kid when he was a commentator on WCW Monday Nitro and could never get into NFL. I liked Steve McMichael on commentary for his enthusiasm and Pepe the Chihuahua. Many years later in October 2022 we fostered a Chihuahua called Robin and we decided to adopt him, he's ten this year. 1
